Thank you so much!! It really made the day start perfectly and the servers and CMs in 1900PF were AMAZING too - worth every penny for that smile on his face :goodvibes

We had a red velvet cake with cream cheese filling for our anniversary last month. It was delivered to our room at YC.

I called private dining there and after talking to a few CM's, I was given the email address for the pastry chef. I emailed him what I wanted, along with pictures and my phone number. He called me back and we talked for about 15min. He was WONDERFUL to work with!!!

Our cake was a custom cake and did cost a little more. I'm not sure about any of the restaurants where you're dining, but you could call them and ask.
We had a mad hatter cake for our wedidng at disney and would love one for our anniversary, can i ask how much it cost?

Thanks

Wow this is so much information - but great information!!! I am a bit confused though. I am celebrating my DDs bday at Crystal Palace. What cake selections do I have to choose from? I thought I read I can only do the regular one at when we check in at the window. Please help leaving in 5 days and would really love to surprise her with a cool cake. Thanks!

Does anyone know if you can have the princess box w/ cake delivered to the room or there upon arrival? I'd rather do a more custom cake for our birthday dinner celebration, but our DD would just love this one too. Thanks!

Did you know that Walt Disney World has a Cake Hotline??? You can order a cake for a birthday or special occasion. Just order it at least 48 hours in advance through WDW’s Cake Hotline (407-827-2253). Remind the people at the podium where you are dining at Walt Disney World about these special arrangements as you check in for your lunch or dinner reservation.

Just called the gf, private dining to find out about cake options. They told me I had 2 the gf signature cake choc or vanilla Ganache have they changed things for. 2009? Are these really my only options

I've read through the Official site but couldn't make it through all the pages. What are my options? Can a special cake be made (mickey head) and delivered to the CP for dd birthday dinner? Also, do I have other birthday cake options? It's just for 2 but we'll take extras home. Would really like to WOW surprise my wonderful daughter.

Special, personalized birthday cakes can be specially ordered by calling the Cake Hotline (407-827-2253) at least 48 hours in advance.

Don't know if this will help but it can't hurt. :)

Thanks but will they know if it will be delivered to Crystal Palace or if I will need to pick it up? Also, any suggestions? Has anyone ever tried the milk choc. mousse filling? Also, I've never had fondant. How is the taste? I'd love to do the Mad Hatter cake. Can you choose the colors and can it be delivered to CP or CM?

I have had the milk choc mousse filling both with choc cake and marble, I loved it, they were in our wedding cake. Usually when they use the fondant there is buttercream under it, the fondant to me is for prett not for tasting good!

No, but Linda, the GF cake lady, is a PAIN!!! You can have other things done, but you must be specific and a picture helps. She will offer NO SUGGESTIONS.

Such a shame that in the Year of Celebrations that they continue to have one of the most unhelpful people on the planet manning the cake orders at the GF. :sad2:

Those were the things they offered me, but I asked about creating a "custom" cake. They still would only give me yellow, chocolate, or marble, but at least I was able to get he custard filling with strawberries.

Here is my experience getting a cake for my DD's 11th Bday. We just got back from WDW. I didn't want to take a chance ordering the cake over the phone. I read some reports about people not getting exacytly what they wanted and I really wanted something specific. We were staying at the BCV so on Sunday evening I walked over to the BW bakery. I asked to speak to the baker to order a cake. I told her I wanted a mini wedding cake for my DD's birthday. She knew exactly what I meant. She asked what type of cake I wanted and gave me a choice of fillings. She asked what colors and style I wanted. She drew a picture of it on the order sheet so I knew what I was getting. Since DD's favorite color is green and she loves Mickey we went with that theme. She said she needed 48 hours and I needed it by Wednesday so it was not a problem. It was $25 plus tax and I paid then and she wrote paid on the order form and gave me a receipt. I was able to have it ready anytime so I asked for it to be ready at 10am. On Wednesday morning I picked it up and I couldn't have been happier!! When I picked it up they were nice enough to give me a candle and box it up carefully. The baker also wrote Happy Birthday and my DD's name in chocolate too!

Has anyone gotten a cake from Chef Mickey's lately? How are they? What kind of options do they give you? Thanks for your help!
