Howdy I am here at work. I sure wish I wasn't so dang broke right now cuz I would love to participate but just bad timing right now. On top of coming back from our trip my stupid car insurance is due next week (600 bucks OUCH!!) and we had to drop 140 for the girls swim suits! Another ouch! And they only took cash or checks so NO credit. Plus tomorrow is MORE money. Soccer sign ups and we desperately need to make a sam's club run to the tune of about 250/300 bucks but I am trying to put it off till next week. It's ugly. That's the only bad thing about vacation is you not only spend a lot but Shane doesn't get paid vacation so we are always short when we get back.

Ah well we will get caught up in a few weeks but it just seems like everything is hitting all at once which is murphy's law as they say. Plus Shelby's birthday is on the 27th and we PROMISED her a nintendo DS cuz she has been asking for over a year but I sure wish I could get out of it but I guess that is what credit cards are for LOL. I knew they wouldn't stay paid off for long LOL. They never do ;). Luckily no big party though this year. That was what Disneyland was about. We told her that going to Disney was in lieu of a kid party so she knew that going into it. But we DID tell her she could pick a place to go out to dinner with us and grandma and grandpa on her actual birthday so what does she pick? Red Lobster! Sheesh! Luckily mom and dad said they would share the bill LOL. She is all I want lobster. I was like uh yeah RIGHT! I don't think so! LOL.

You can have the kids meal like always! Kids! ;)

Anyway I can live vicariously through you guys and then I told mom about it and we are DEF in for the halloween exchange! That will be a LOT of fun! I LOVE Halloween! We will have a lot of fun just shopping for the stuff I am sure! We had fun just shopping for our totes.

Anyway we are off to lunch soon and then hopefully I can be outta here and on my way home soon to relax before more STUFF tonight. Wish we didn't have the meeting but in a way I guess I need to know what the heck cuz it has been SO long since I've been I am out of the loop. Katy is bridging to Jr's so I really need to know what the heck is going on! :)

See yall later!

Hi everyone!

I hope you all are having a great day! :goodvibes

I'm a little hopped up on Red Bull right now. :hyper:

Believe me, if I thought my coworker was rich/handsome, I'd be all over it, but unfortunately he's neither. Don't I sound shallow? :rotfl2:

Thankfully, I've had the office all to myself this morning. :worship: I get to do whatever I want and can blasty blast my music. :dancer:

Is it next weekend yet? :yay:

So I thought I'd share a little of our mini Vegas meet last night. (Not too much as I think Stacie might be doing a TR of her time here when she gets back)
It was Amy, Jane, Stacie(rita) and myself. We planned to meet at 6:30 at the Rio to see the Chippendale's show. Ruben has this local radio shopping show he listens to and was able to get us $55 tickets for only 6 bucks each! :cool1: So we were all excited.

I got to the Rio a bit early and was walking around when I spotted Jane in one of the shops with Stacie. We chatted for a bit while waiting for Amy. By the way, I have to point out that Amy is looking smoking hot now!! She's really lost weight and it shows. We weren't the only ones who noticed it either. She got lots of attention from the male population last night. :rolleyes1 Especially a certain bartender who really seemed taken with her. (And wanted to take her home!)

Anyway, we started the evening by looking around the Chippendale boutique while we were waiting for the Flirt bar to open. They sell all kinds of souvenirs, tees, postcards, shot glasses, etc.
At 7 the bar opened and we went in and found seats and got some drinks. The Flirt bar, by the way, is just off the Chippendale theater and is open to ticket holders.

Stacie ordered me something........I can't recall what was in it now except the cranberry juice. But it did have some sort of alcohol. In my quest to find a drink I actually like, this one was ranked pretty high up there. Not bad at all Stacie. :thumbsup2 But no, I still didn't finish it for those wondering.

We hung out, enjoyed our drinks, and chatted while waiting for the show to start.

Of course we had to check out the ladies restroom which is supposed to feature a "gossip pit" area. Mainly it was some lounge seats and a few vanities.

Jane, making herself purty before heading off to see the show full of hot men!!
100_0191.jpg

The show itself was great! About an hour long and full of hot guys, loud music, lots of dancing and lots of screaming ladies. At one point they did sort of a Dating Game show and needed three ladies to volunteer to come up on stage. Our shy ER nurse jumped up, threw both arms in the air and starts yelling, "Pick me, pick me!" :rotfl: So they did!!

She was contestant number 3, and the "bachelor" asked each of the ladies to do certain things. Contestant #1 had to do a lap dance, #2 had to demonstrate her um favorite position, and soon it was going to be Amy's turn. We were busting up and couldn't wait to see what she was going to have to do. Keeping with the family friendly theme of the DIS, let's just say she had to put a raincoat on a banana in a most creative way. :rolleyes1
GO AMY!! She was definitely the wild child last night.

Unfortunately you couldn't take pics during the show. I'd have loved a shot of that. :rotfl2:
After the show, you were given the opportunity to take pics with some of the dancers so of course we did. ;)

100_0194-1.jpg

Then it was back to the bar for more drinks and the chance to mingle with some of the dancers. That was fun. Stacie got several more shots of us with the men, but you'll have to wait for her to get back and post them. (Hurry Stacie!! There's one pic in particular I want!!! :yay:  )

Before we knew it the bar was closing. They didn't stay open very long after the show, and we weren't ready to head home just yet, so we stuck around, watched the Show in the Sky, walked the casino, took pics with random strangers (don't ask, just make sure to carry gum, it comes in handy) and then decided to grab a snack at the pretzel shop and chat for awhile.

It was a fun night. I had a blast. I got home around midnight and went to bed at 2, so I am pooped today but it really made me even more excited for the Vegas meet we have planned for June. :thumbsup2

I agree with you Beth, Amy looks great!

Me too! I can't wait for that one.

I'm HUNGRRYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
I am too. I haven't eaten lunch yet. I'm too lazy to fix anything though.

Thankfully, I've had the office all to myself this morning. :worship: I get to do whatever I want and can blasty blast my music. :dancer:
All morning long I've been blasting this song:
Cause I saddle up my horse
and I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
on my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy.
Everybody says
Save a horse, Ride a cowboy

They did a dance to that song last night and I think we all agreed it was our favorite part of the show. They were all in their western gear with tight jeans, open shirts, cowboy boots and hats. So sexy.
OMG, now I have visions of hot cowboys dancing in my head.

I am off to lunch with a friend.
Have fun!

We did. I cannot wait for June.

Jane...look at her....where are her hands?
Oh, you have no idea how wild these women got last night. It's a good thing they had me to keep them all in check. And I'm not kidding either!! LOL

I was going to ask if he's rich? I thought that was what gave him the nerve to ask. Apparently not. My dad is 66. And a coworker? Can you say awkward encounters from now on?! :scared1:

Hmmm. Was that one dancer feelin' Jane up?

So am I!!!

I am off to lunch with a friend.

I am going to look at the iPhone & the Blackberry Curve.

I miss Blackberry....

I have the Blackberry Storm and like it pretty much--although it has brain farts from time to time.

It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun!!

Jane...look at her....where are her hands?
OMG!! I hadn't even noticed that!!!!!

And where are HIS HANDS?!!! :rolleyes1

EXACTLY!!!!!!

I'm finally caught up on this thread, and I had to make a quick comment on something that came up yesterday.......

My 65 year old coworker just asked me out on a date. I don't even know what to do with that.

But I don't even know what to say about this!:lmao:

It sounds like you Vegas girls had big fun last night!
Nothing much new going on here. Just working, working, working, which is good in this economy. I have a new job on Thursdays, where I prepare lunches for a networking group of out-of-work hi-tech workers. They have seminars, speakers, etc. It's a nice, steady gig, and I'll be serving 40-100 lunches, but the problem is that they don't know how many lunches to order unilt 1 hour before they need to be served! Se yesterday they expected about 30, and we had 47. I had just enough food, and the feedback was good. We made pasta marinara, Italian sausage and green salad. Now I need to come up with some more menus that are quick and easy to prepare, that I can stretch, if I need to.

I hope everybody has a great day! The weather is beautiful here today, and I'm hoping to hit the beach this weekend.:beach:

And where are HIS HANDS?!!! :rolleyes1

Maybe he was just trying to be supportive. :confused3

Congrats on the steady gig! That's a little stressful though to say the least. Good luck and I hope you have fun at the beach.

Beth~ Random pictures with strangers are fun. My friend Liberty & I have tons of these pics. Last year we went to the Match Box 20 concert for my birthday, and while in Seattle we met some interesting people. At some club as we were leaving we were hungry, so we saw tater tot guy.
Ate his tater tots, talked to him...he was clueless but nice...

Who or what is Tater Tot Guy?

Tater guy was well our victim. It was 3 AM, we were hungry, he had just gotten a plate of tasty HOT tater tots. We stopped by & talked to him. Ate his tater tots. He said he was a DJ?? Where I have no idea...but he was well...interesting.
However, Gary from the Hula Hula was a very nice man.
At 4AM this very nice sailor walked us back to the Redlion.
I am suprised we didn't end up on the back of a Milk Carton that night.....
