Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

I'm eating a rainbow sherbet push up and watching Happy Feet. But DH keeps changing it back to the Lakers Game during the commercials. :)

Hey I'm a newbie and I've stuck around!

Not talking about you silly. Im talking about those who show up for one post, and never come back. Or those who are posting like crazy for one day, then poof, never come back.

What happened to Caitlyn? Or that one with the "skirt" in the name? There have been quite a few others too.

You don't count as a newbie newbie anymore. A trip newbie, yes. A Diva thread newbie, no.

Boo Bear is like a regular...and Laurie, too. Oh, and Courtney. She is such a sweetie.:cutie:
They all fit right in with us loonies. Of course, we have a lot of fun, too!

Yeah, I don't consider those newbies anymore. They are one of us.

Now that's just plain scary!!!!!!!

Chery, I'm sorry to hear about your fall! But I hope you enjoy your "supermodel lips" while you have them!:rotfl2:

To the ladies meeting tomorrow night, enjoy!

And to all the moms and moms-at-heart, I hope you have a great Mother's Day weekend!:grouphug:

We have a small party that we're working tomorrow, and we're going to my aunt's house on Sunday for a little swim/bbq party.

Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you that I booked the job that I went to check out today! It's a BBQ for about 150 people over Memorial Day weekend. It is a housewarming party for some people who just finished building a beautiful, huge house on an enormous lot. It's super-nice, and the party should be lots of fun. And the big paycheck will help to fund my Disney habit!:cool1:

OK. I'm off to bed. I left the house before noon today, and I just got home.
See you all tomorrow!

It's me, coming in late again. Wow, a lot has happened today!

Nerd alert! I just bought tickets for the American Idol concert! I'm taking my BFF's 14 year old daughter.

What city are you going to see it? What fun. Is that the concert after the winner has been picked? Looking forward to a report.

Thank you everyone for your concern! :grouphug:

My mom and I are both experiencing some pain today. Her shoulder hurts and for me, it's my back and lower neck. I spent the morning dealing with the insurance company. Now I'm just waiting for her to give her side of the story. Hopefully everything goes smoothly! :goodvibes

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Wendy, you might just want to consider hiring a lawyer. With the way the insurance companies work today, it's such a pain just to get your bills paid, even when the other party admits fault. It's this no-fault mess. Years ago I was in a 5 car pile up on the freeway, hit from the rear twice. My parents hired an attorney to be sure there was coverage not only for the car, my medical but also for the pain and suffering. Of course the settlement didn't come close to the back problems and bills I had for the rest of my life, but I think it was better than if we did not have a lawyer.

I also was on a jury for a car accident case and saw how difficult it is to even get your medical bills covered (esp if you are a passenger, and your mom is I see) if the insurance co decides to go to court. Much better to get this settled early so it never goes to court. Okay, just my 2c. I think the car accident attorney worked on contingency (so payment for fees came out of settlement).

I hope it fits I tried getting one once and sent it back because I have a really long torso.

Sounds nice. Another source is Land's End. They sell one piece suits that come in "long torso." (I have one)

Ohhh geez. We just had an earthquake! Shakey!

I wondered about you today when I heard the news. I hate quakes. Was in the Northridge one.... :scared1:
Beth, you are so right, they are a very good reason not to be in Ca.

Hey girl.....you wanna earn a dollar??? ;)

:rotfl2:

Yes, they are one of us now

It was sooo hot today. I'm glad it's supposed to cool off a bit tomorrow...

Morning all! I am up bright and early because we are off to Time trials. I am SO not ready for this this year! I don't think the girls are either LOL. Luckily we have a break in between but still. Anyway I thought I would check in before I go. Last night I had yet ANOTHER stupid headache. It wasn't too bad during the day at work but then got worse once I got home. I think it was the heat and all the stress from everything that has been going on lately. But anyway we watche Benjamin Button which was a little odd but good and then I watched Ghost whisperer and went to bed early (8 p.m.) I didn't sleep too well because my head was hurting even with an ice pack and cold wash cloth on my eyes but at least so far this morning it is better than it was so I am crossing my fingers that it doesn't come back!

Usually time trials is fairly short compared to a reg meet because it is just our team and no relays. So hopefully we will be home fairly early!

Anyway hope everyone has a GREAT Saturday and talk to you later. :)

Good Morning Ladies!!!

Lots going on yesterday!!!! Hugs & anything else that was needed!!!!!

Went back to the Social Security Office yesterday & after 2 1/2 hrs of trying to get things straight on the twins.....we finally left with an appt!!!! :lmao: Get to go back on the 28th & do it again.......gotta love our government!!! :rotfl:

Nothing big planned here....probably do laundry today so I don't have to spend Mother's Day doing it...... I guess you'd call that a present from myself!

Talked with a property mgr from the Anaheim area......he's willing to work with us to find a place (even with horrendous credit.....but awesome rental history) but the big problem is.......someone has to be employed! Real catch-22, need a home to be in the area to find work & have to have work to rent a place in the area....... my poor brain is exhausted in trying to figure this out!! If anyone in the area knows of work down there & they could interview my hubby over the phone (vs us finding money to go back down) that would be lovely.....but not expecting any miracles.....

Hope everyone has a restful weekend :cloud9:

Happy Saturday everyone!

Why is it that I often have to roll Ty out of bed during the week in order to be on time for work & school, but yet now that it's the weekend and he could have slept in, he chose to wake up at 6:30. Anyhow, we're watching Mary Poppins right now and then we'll head to Gymboree at 10 am. After naptime we have plans to go to the Strip and have a late lunch & frrrrrrozen hot chocolate at Serendipity 3. I would guess that we'll also take a stroll through the Forum Shoppes and Via Bellagio as well. I honestly don't remember the last time I was on the Strip, so this will be fun!!!

Hope that everyone else had great & exciting plans for today, and that those at DL are having a great time. I also hope that Cheryl and her lip are feeling better today!

Oh, and Tina--congrats on the big score for the housewarming picnic!

So where have all the drive by newbies gone? Did you guys scare them all away? So many have stopped by to say hi and that they are interested in the trip, yet they never have come back. What gives?
I am still here and have been skimming through the last few days but I am not much for chatter. Once I decide whether I will be going I will join in more, especially once there is more actual planning going on. I am hoping to talk DH into going in September on the 5 for 3 deal and stay at GCH. If you are getting 2 nights free then that seems like the best place to do it!:thumbsup2 He and my 17yo are getting burnt out on Disney; they think that going every year is too much or even that we don't need to ever go again because we have been so much. :scared1: So if that happens, I may have to become a Dis Diva for life - thank God I found you! If I do go on this trip, I would be interested in staying at GCH but I have to come home on 2/28 because I am an accountant and cannot miss the first few days of the month.
