Invitations

I'm working on my invitations as we speak, and I should have something to post very soon! In the mean time I wanted to share that I just launched a website of invitations that I've designed. Anyway, you can check it out at www.moyalara.com and let me know what you think! ;)

Where did you get the outer envelopes addressed like that?

Hi! I made the envelopes myself on an inkjet printer. I designed each address individually on Photoshop. It was easy once I did the first one and set up "ruler guides" to use to make sure everything stayed centered.

If you don't have Photoshop, you could easily do something similar with Microsoft Publisher, or any other graphics program that gives you a lot of control over document layout and character spacing.

Larisa, I'm in LOVE with your invitation website!!! You are SOOO creative and talented. I absolutely cannot wait to see what you come up with for your own wedding. It will be something really special, I'm sure!

I don't have invitations yet, but we did send out Save the Dates this week:

The Save the Date announcement cards:

We stuffed them inside a small envelope:

Each guest received a printed copy of our first newsletter:

We also enclosed a "Pre-RSVP" questionnaire and a stamped addressed return envelope and a few pieces of confetti. (The stamps are Art of Disney Imagination + a 3 cent stamp just in case they don't return before postage rates go up next month):

All of the above items were stuffed into a larger outside envelope and stamped with custom postage featuring the cartoon version of "Brian and Andreah":

those are awesome!!! love the pastel colors :goodvibes

Here are my invites! Bought them at Michaels and printed them myself. Save a LOT of money! And everyone was shocked to hear that they weren't professionally made! :thumbsup2

All the components that are in the invite.

When you open it up, all the pieces are tucked inside.

And of COURSE, I had to add a little Disney touch to the seal, courtesy of a Mickey head punch from Michaels!

Wow - those are really good looking! Do they sell them in other colors?

Here's mine. Spent less than $50 for 27 of them. All hand-made and it wouldn't be complete without sweat and curses. :lmao:

I'm in love with them! :lovestruc

LOVE the black and red!!

There were a few varieties at Michaels, but not much. I saw my style in brown and a few other styles, too. They are from Garter Studios (where I was able to get the templates for each component) and if you look on their website, they DO have other colors and styles, they just didn't have them all at Michaels.

Well mine are finally done and went out the other week. Here are a few pics ...

They were delivered to our guests in silk boxes, with silk rose petals all around and wrapped with a silk ribbon and crystal buckle. Lots of enclosure cards on the inside plus a "mad libs" style RSVP card.

seriously, how beautiful are these...im checking the website out, but just the lettering alone has me (sidenote i get easily distracted by anything with colors...so the colors have captured my attention)

I ordered mine on Vistaprint. I needed something very simple and reasonably priced, after deciding I didn't want to print them myself I ended up with these:

With reception info and RSVP info printed on the back. I also got matching Thank Yous and a bunch of preprinted envelopes.

40 folded thank yous $8.99
40 8x4 flat invites $6.24
100 #9 personalized envelopes $1.49
100 A-2 personalized envelopes (tys) $1.49
Free rubber stamp with address.
shipping $8.79
Total: $30.74

Here are ours. I purchased a Brides Kit at Michaels and added the jewelled Mickey Head at the top of the invitation. I got an excellent deal on them (They were on clearance for $12.50 for a box of 40!). I made the castle confetti with some silver sparkle scrapbooking paper and my Disney Castle punch.
