“Mommy, can we go see SNOW WIPE at DIZZY WORLD?! … PEEZZZ” A March 2010 PTR w/pics

It really sucks when your vacation is SOOO far away and you WANT so badly to be able to PLAN all the details down to the minute. :rolleyes1 I’m in MAJOR planning mode right now and frustrated that I can’t set anything is Stone yet.:sad2:

I’m already stressing myself out trying to figure out what we’re going to do about getting to the airport. How sad is that?!?! We’re over 6 months away and I’m stressed out about that. :lmao: Darn pregnancy hormones!!

Scenario #1. I guess this would be the worse case scenario …. we’ll have to drive ourselves and pay $110.00 for economy parking! :scared1:

Scenario # 2 : Drive to a RTD bus lot and take the “Sky Ride” to the Airport. This will cost a total of $60.00 Round trip. Not sure if the $40.00 savings would be worth lugging so much baggage and kids or not? :confused3 Plus I’m not sure if they charge you for actually parking in the lot?

Scenario # 3: Right now we only live 8-10 minutes away from the airport. But something has come up, to where we could FINALLY be moving in the next few months. :yay: If things don’t go as planned and we’re still living in our Condo my Cousin Brandon could take us to the airport and he could also house sit for us and watch our dogs while we’re gone. :woohoo: He would have to make two trips however. But not a big deal since we're so close.

Our flight leaves at 8:05 AM so we need to be at the airport around 6:00AM? Denver International is a HUGE airport and I want to give ourselves plenty of time. So obviously it’s going to be an EARLY morning. And knowing me I won’t be able to get any sleep the night before because I’ll be so freakin’ excited! :cool1:

I’ll be sure to let you all know what we decide to do…. I’m thinking nothing will be decided until a week or so before our departure. But at this point EVERYTHING is pretty much up in the air since we’re so far out. I’m sure I’ll change my mind a million times on what we’re doing and seeing. :confused3 I’m just glad that airline reservations are set and there is NO WAY we can back out of the trip. At least one thing is SET.:thumbsup2

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I've already started a 'Must-Do' list! Don't think that a packing list hasn't crossed my mind either. The airfare for our trip isn't even out yet. Imagine how stressed out that makes me!!! :scared1:

I'm happy to find out that I'm not the only crazy 6 month in advance Disney planner :lmao:

Oh, I love the new pictures from DL. :goodvibes

I would go with the non-hoppers for your tickets. I find with a toddler, hopping is just too much for us and having an extra ticket day would be fun. :goodvibes

Hello there! I just started reading this pre-trip and I am really enjoying it so so far! First off - your DD is a doll...soooo cute! Secondly, I know I already mentioned this in my pre-trip but I love, love, LOVE that you are planning a trip for your baby boy before he's born! I did that too and I am SO glad I did!

We aren't getting hoppers for our trip. We have ALWAYS bought them in the past but last trip (with a 3yo and 6mo) we didn't hop ONCE. We went to the parks for rope drop, rode rides until lunch, had a quick lunch and back to the resort for naps/pool/quiet time. We would go back to the same park in the PM for dinner and more rides.

The parks close relatively early for some days during our trip too but we plan to start early, have a short break at the resort and then return late afternoon to a different park so if you were doing something similar you could always just return to the same park as the AM :goodvibes Saying that, I bet with a 3 month old you'd be doing shorter park days anyway so it sounds like the 'non hopper but an extra day' option would work better for you :)

I do have lots of pictures but my stupid scanner broke. Once I get a new one I'll be sure to scan and post more pictures for you.

My DD seriously begs EVERYDAY to go to Dizzy World... But I have to keep reminding her that we can't go until the baby comes out.. She keeps complaining that the baby is "stuck" and is ready for him to be born so she can leave the trip already. :lmao:

I hope you stick around.... I love having ya here.

Awww thats a shame about your scanner, can't wait to see the photos when you manage to get everthing sorted :) Your DD is too cute!! 'Dizzy world' Awww! That's so funny that she thinks your little man is 'stuck' - bless her! She's going to be so excited when he's born because she'll feel closer to her holiday  Don't worry, i'll be sticking around

Ticket Dilemma

So I can’t decide if we want to buy the 8 day ((NON-PARK HOPPER)) pass for $678.00
OR
The 7 day ((PARK HOPPER)) pass for $703.00

We’re officially doing 6 days total at Disney, 1 day at Universal Studios, 1 day at Islands of Adventure, and 1 day at the Beach plus Wonderworks.

My SIL really wanted to get a PARK HOPPER because they like to hang out at one park during the day, head back to the room for naps and swimming, then back for more Disney. But I’m thinking that since we’re going during off season the parks will close around 8 or 9 so there really is no use in going back at night?!

But if we get an 8 day pass we can make a short trip to MK on our arrival day and departure day if we decide too?!?

I just have a feeling I’m not going to do a LOT of park hopping with a 3 month old and the parks closing at 8 or 9.

Any opinions?!?

Hmmm this is a tricky one! Could you not get the passes which each family want? So you guys would get to do what you want like MK on your first day and the rest of the family could nap etc... ?

It really sucks when your vacation is SOOO far away and you WANT so badly to be able to PLAN all the details down to the minute. :rolleyes1 I’m in MAJOR planning mode right now and frustrated that I can’t set anything is Stone yet.:sad2:

It does suck but there are plenty of things you can start figuring out and things you can start buying or even making! Do you do any craft type hobbies??

:lmao: Nope you're not the only one.... If I could I would probably even start packing. :rolleyes1

Thank you... Yeah, the 8 day ticket is looking better and better. And it would actually be 2 extra park days.

Welcome!! Thank you for reading!

It is fun planning Jayden's 1st trip to WDW.... I love it.

Thanks for the advice on parkhopping... I doubt we'll do it. If SIL wants to thats fine, but I just can't do it with a 3 month old.

Think that's what we're going to do.... If we want to go back later in the evening we can just hit the same park... Plus it will be saving us us money.

Yeah, she's always complaining that her brother is stuck.... This morning she wanted to look at my belly button.... I asked her if she could see the baby through it and she insisted she could. :lmao:

I'm going to sit down with my SIL this weekend and discuss what we should do with the tickets.

The 7 day park hopper would be a huge discount with my BIL's florida resident ID... Non-resident it's $825.00. But I still think I'm going to go with the 8 day. We'll see. :confused3

WOW!!! I'm officially 25 weeks pregnant today!! Time is flying by!

ANYWAY.....

Here's more pictures from last years trip! ENJOY!!

**SIL,NIECE, AND PLUTO ** I JUST LOVE THEY WAY HE AUTOGRAPHS BOOKS, SO CUTE. :rotfl:

I'm sure with the ages of YOUR kids you will not wanting to be PHing. How old are the other kids? Is it possible for your BIL and SIL to get PH and you guys plan the mornings together (or afternoons) then part ways just after dinner? This way you can get some rest, along with the baby and Reya and Daddy (or you) could get some pool time in?

I know you will only have 1 car for the 2 families (am I right?) so someone will be 'stuck.' When we have gone with family in the past we stayed on property to avoid the whole car thing. We went the 1st time as a family with my dad, his wife, their 6mo old twins, my 19yo brother, my 10 yo neice, my best friend, and us....we drove 1, 15pass van down and stay in 3 rooms at ASMo. Oct 08 we (the 4 of us, plus my niece) went with MIL and FIL, we drove a 12 pass van and stayed in 3 rooms at ASMo. My mom has a timeshare at Orange Lakes she would have given us for the transfer of weeks for $115, so it would have been WAY cheaper, but we didn't want to have to deal with the whole 'car issue.' It's a good thing we did, cause my MIL spent most of the week in the hotel room and boy would I have been PO'd if we all would ahve had to leave cause she wanted to. That is why this time we are going...just us!!!!!!

That's what I was discussing with my husband earlier. If SIL and her family want to PH we can just split up later in the day, he agreed that would work. Just haven't discussed it with SIL yet. ;)

Actually we're getting two cars, it was way cheaper then getting a van. So that would work out just perfect if we decide to split up. :woohoo:

I talked to SIL and she has agreed that the 8 day ticket would probably be best since the parks close earlier then usual! So I’m 99% sure that’s what we’re going to do.

****************

I just HAD to share these hilarious pictures I took of DD yesterday morning.

They were taken shortly after we both woke up, so that’s why she has such crazy Bed Head.. I swear I don’t let her go out in public looking like that!
:lmao:

We were both sitting on the couch watching cartoons when I look over and notice she somehow got a hold of my chapstick. ((She loves chapstick)) and this is what I see!:scared1:

After wrestling it away from her with some kicking and screaming involved, this is what she looked like. :lmao:

I don’t know what’s happening to my sweet, loving, little girl!! We had NO problems at two and all of a sudden she’s turning into a lil devil at three!! She is definitely hitting the “TRYING THREE’S”

OHHHHHH BOY!!!!! :scared1:

OMG! That is too funny! You'll laugh over those pictures together when she gets older I'm sure ;)

I just had to come over and say "hi"! I finally read through all of your PTR and its so weird how you were saying that you were getting discouraged b/c people weren't responding to your posts.

I feel a little like that myself right now. Hopefully just a lot of people are reading & not commenting, but I have faith that it will pick up as my PTR goes on.

Oh my word - those chapstick pictures are PRICELESS!!!

Your first day plans sound great! I really want to try T-Rex too. :goodvibes

Hahahahah! Those picture are classic. Those must be pulled out on prom night:rotfl:

OMG!!! Those photos are priceless :lmao: You will definately be able to bribe her with them when she's older and has her boyfriend round :rotfl2:

Your plans for your first day sound great :thumbsup2 xx

More vacation photos! :goodvibes

Hi...I just followed you over from Gabes_mommy's PTR. We're going in March 2010 too and we'll overlap some days. My DMom, DSis and I will be walking the 5K on March 6th. I have to actually go on my Sept trip before I plan too much of my March trip, at least that's what I keep telling myself :rotfl:

Just read through and wanted to comment on a few things...

Your DD is adorable and congratulations on your little boy! :goodvibes

Thanks for all the pics of DLR, I've never been...someday, right?! We're from FL so WDW is the only home we know

ETA...loved the pics of the "chapstick incident"! The trying threes are going to be fun for me too :rotfl:

Looking forward to more updates and hopefully sharing planning for March!! popcorn::

Hey mama!

I'm not caught up yet (you've been busy the last day or two!) but I wanted to comment on Catching Fire: HECK YA! And my DMIL already has a copy of the new Vampire Academy book (Blood Promise) waiting for me at her house... I'll pick it up this weekend when we meet at the coast for an overnighter .. WOO HOO!

I wanted to pimp this thread, too....

The After Twilight Book Club Thread
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2153915

I'll catch up with the rest soon..

BTW- I don't have any Disney trips coming up :guilty:.. I vote for the non-park hopper (seems like a better excuse to take it slightly easier on yourself.. that's how I was going to roll if I ever got to go to WDW) and.. great DCA park photo's.. lovely composition!

The chapstick pictures are just too funny, definitely ones to show her future husband! ;) :rotfl: I work in a daycare so I definitely understand 'the trying threes' Lately we've been trying to drum into one of our little girls that she can't just do what she likes to the other kids (usually snatching toys!) but it's hard to stay serious when she's all sassy in replying "but I said sorry!" :upsidedow
