I was just thinking of something the other day...I know you like young adult fiction, have you ever read the Inkheart trilogy? I liked that one. One of the main characters is named Reesa and it reminded me of the name Reya...

And I was also looking at the Nicholas Flamel stories the other day...have you read those? I am going to try them I think - I'm always looking for a worthy successor to Harry Potter

Hello Everyone!! I'm so sorry I've been missing in action for awhile. Things here have been CRAZY to say the least. Mostly dealing with a LOT of parental health issues between my father and my husbands mom. Both of them have have test after test trying to figure out what's wrong with them. And on top of that my poor baby girl had to have an unexpected double root canal a few days ago.

My baby shower is tomorrow however and I'm soooooo ready to let my hair down and have some fun celebrating the upcoming birth of my baby boy.

I'll try to reconnect with everyone on this DIS sometime this weekend. I hope none of you have given up on me.

Hello Everyone!

Once again I’m so sorry that I’ve been gone for so long. Things are finally starting to settle down a little and I’m hoping that I can visit the DIS more often. I’ve missed you all and am ready to start planning my trip again.

I have a busy, fun weekend ahead of me….. I have a much needed date night planned with my husband tonight, a baby shower tomorrow, and a drive in the mountains on Sunday to see the beautiful fall foliage. Hopefully I’ll be able to work on my PTR starting Monday?!?

As you all know I had my baby shower last weekend! It was sooooo much fun to celebrate the upcoming arrival of my baby boy in a laid back relaxing way with some wonderful friends and family. Even my Dad flew in from California despite his health issues.

Here’s just a small sample of the pictures that were taken….. I hope you don’t mind my sharing them.

The weather was PERFECT…after 5 days of rain and cold weather it was 80 degrees that day.

Hello Everyone!!
I've been gone from the boards for a couple months, preparing myself and our family for our newest addition.
I'm proud to announce that I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 5 nights ago. Jayden was born on December 15th at 6:44 PM and was 6lbs 7oz and 19 1/2 inches. I was 6 days past my due date and induced, the whole process only took about 10 1/2 hours, but it was an extremely hard and scary labor and delivery. I wasn't planning on going without pain meds, but that's how it turned out since my epidural and spinal I was given didn't work. And my crazy little boy gave me a real scare when it was time to push because his heart would stop everytime I had a contraction. Turns out he had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 3 times and once around his body. As a result he had MAJOR breathing problems when he was born and was rushed to the NICU once I pushed him out, and I wasn't even able to see or hold him for several hours after his birth. BUT...... Everything worked out in the end and now he's completely happy and healthy and I couldn't ask for a better baby... I'm SOOOOOO unbelievably in LOVE with him.

I'll be doing more trip planning really soon. I can't believe that we leave in less then 3 months. I have TONS to do..... Please stick around and be patient. Having a newborn at home doesnt leave me much time.​

Yes, yes he does. They almost look identical except he's got more hair then she did at even 2 years of age.... And it's dark, not blonde. He's been the best baby EVER!!

Actually I decided to start fresh and new. The link to my new PTR is at the bottom of my signature. I haven't gotten far, but have tried to update as often as possible. Whenever the baby is sleeping and I'm not cleaning I'm planning my trip. I can't believe I leave in less then 2 months.

I thought I lost all my readers because I was gone so long, so I just restarted. But nobody seems to be reading that one either. Oh well.. Glad you you guys are around though.
