I found this report today and in the spirit of not lurking I am making my presence known. I read trip reports in spurts depending on how badly I need a Disney fix. And with less than two weeks until our trip, I need some vicarious Disney Magic to keep me from going crazy.
Your pictures are great, they really take me home. And that Kitchen Sink looks amazing. I've been trying to get the courage up for quite some time to attempt it, but I know that DH and I couldn't do it alone.
Can't wait to see how it all ends! Even though that is the sad part, I need closure.
Thank you for reading along and for the compliments. I'm really glad that you enjoyed our pictures.
I agree, the Kitchen Sink did look amazing. I really feel that the pictures do not do it justice though. It is something you need to see in real life.
I say go for it with the KS. You and DH will have a fun experiance that you will not forget!
Still with ya and still lovin it
You guys have given me lots of cool new ideas for my first solo trip coming up in November
I'm so glad you are still enjoying it. Will you be doing a TR when you get back, because I would love to see your trip.
Now I know I have a new thing to tackle when I head there in a couple weeks... THE KITCHEN SINK. I can almost eat a whole carton of ice cream by myself... so I guess those 12 scoops are a carton? Oh well, i'm thinking I can do it.
How much was it anyways?
Well, I'm surprised Chris has not popped on here to tell us more about it, but it is his birthday today... so he was probably busy last night with family.
Everyone say happy birthday to Chris!
As far as the kitchen sink, I would say do not count out all of the extra toppings. I know I could finish a carton of ice cream if I had too, but not after you add on all that other junk.
According to All ears, the price is 21.99
Great update! It looks like Chris did a pretty good job on the Kitchen Sink considering that was all him. Holy Cow.
Did you all enjoy your breakfast at Minnie's or Goofy's more? We have gone to Goofy's on our past trips, but we have reservations at Minnie's this time. I keep going back and forth over which one to do. Since you did both on this trip, which would you recommend?
i have to give it to him... he put a huge dent in that thing. He is determined to finish it next time. Well, I'm happy he wants to go back... I really enjoyed the quesadilla.
As far as which Character Breakfast I enjoyed more? Well this has been an age old question on the DIS. This is my first time visiting Minnies, and I was very impressed. I loved the character interaction and I loved eating breakfast on Main St. That was one of the things that I enjoyed about Carnation Cafe. However, while the food was good, I enjoy the selection at Goofy's more. You have more to choose from and can have a more unique meal.
THis being the trade off, as in my opinion, Goofy's character interaction SUCKS! Well it is ok. But it SUCKS compared to Minnie's. I usually only see about 5 characters at Goofy's while their are almost double that at Minnies.
So my answer to you is, I love them both, but for different reasons.
I wanted to throw these up to as a supplement to the last part.
After dinner, we actually explored the lobby of the hotel for a few minutes before we left.
We stopped to take a picture with Goofy.
I just wanted to post those, since they are cool. I will put the last part up before today is over. It is from Goofy's Kitchen and involves the most hardcore xxx food porn of this trip. These are pictures of the entire buffet and every item it offers. There are not much in the way of menus for what is really offered at Goofy's so I thought detailed photos may help. Once I finish posting them here I will also post them in the food porn thread, so they may help other DISers plan their trips.
