My nail broke beyond the quick and it hurts to move my finger (typing is a challenge as we speak). Did I say it really hurts and I feel REALLY STUPID? I guess I should be thankful it's not my left hand so I can still write - the Scavy Hunt question roster is my main order of business this weekend. Well, that and drinking wine and visiting with Cheryl and Mel.:dance3:

Ouch! Have a wonderful time with Cheryl and Mel!

Well I have lots to do. Pack and bring lots of slickers! :headache: We are going to go through the Tehachapis for our trip down. The Grapevine is closed.:sad2: We are also taking our big truck. I feel safer in that thing when the weather is so bad. We are staying in Huntington Beach. The waves are supposed to be 15-20 feet high!!!!!! We are going to be washed away!! :sad2: I don't think I will be reading on the beach.....do you?

Melody, I'm glad you'll be in the big truck. In a way it's good the Grapevine is closed. I spent 3 hours on that once trying to go 2 miles (literally) until the chp forced us all off the freeway at midnight. Safe travels!!

I'm sorry to say I just heard from Amy tonight and she won't be making the trip. :(

Melody, where are you going? Did I miss a trip you are taking. Be safe.
! :)

Melody is coming to DL to work on the Scavy hunt with Linda and Cheryl. Thank goodness sunshine is predicted for the entire weekend!

Anyhow, even though my own trip is up in the air, Amy's official cancellation has me totally bummed out :sad1:

I know, me too. She's such a terrific person. But we sorta saw that coming.
It will majorly bum us out if you can't make it, so here's some pixie dust!
:wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

Sooooooooo in the grand tradition of blowing off responsibility in favor of Disney............ I'm going. :yay:

:

YEA!!!! It really is a girl's trip again!!!!! :dance3::yay::woohoo:
That's more like it!!!

It is SO important to you and your family for you to take care of yourself and rejuvenate. Don't call it vacation. Call it mommy rejuvenation weekend!
?
:thumbsup2

Woo hoo Bethie!!!! Yayyyyyyyy!

Meeting up with Linda tonight for drinkies, dinner and some girl time! Then tomorrow morning Mel is coming to meet us at the hotel and we're storming the gates of DL (well, I'll probably be on a scooter, but you know what I mean).

Ok--I'd better get my fanny to work!

Later gators!

Thanks to the Scavy team for doing all this Scavy work this weekend! Have a fun time with Linda and Mel!
:goodvibes

What is everyone else doing for breakfast on Saturday? Mimi's?....a quick McDonalds stop?.....just grabbing a muffin somewhere? :confused3

I have to say, I've never ever seen Tina and Callie's boyfriend before or his show. Maybe I'll get a chance this trip. :goodvibes

Mine starts tonight and goes until Sunday night, lol.
Awww, having company? :goodvibes Enjoy the kiddos. :)

I'm glad to see you still have my picture, Beth. ;)

Riverbelle Terrace breakfast = :lovestruc
But of course I do. I treasure it my dear. ;) :rotfl:

I'll be at Riverbelle for breakfast on Sunday. I'd go Saturday with Sarah, but I fear I will 1.) need more sleep for the hunt that day, and 2.) need plenty of prep time in the morning for the group photo.
Takes me longer than most to make sure I am presentable and don't frighten away small children.

I think I will try the steamboat.... Steamboat - Three Fluffy Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Choice of Bacon or Sausage. $7.99

Yum! Wish it came with a biscuit though!

SarahMay
Sounds like a good choice!
I LOVE breakfast foods. I rarely eat it for breakfast, but often I'll make breakfast for dinner.
Anyone ever been to a Cracker Barrel? They had one in Traverse City, MI where we lived and I loved their hashbrown casserole.

Capri, I'll either be eating in my room, grabbing something quick and cheap from McDonalds, or skipping it entirely depending on how long it takes me to get my butt up and out the door. lol
If I'm ready in time, do you want to grab something quick together? Just let me know, don't have to decide now.

Okay so this is my current packing list as of now. I'm sure I will add more as the time goes on. As you can see, I don't travel light. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

If I bought all this the plane might not get off the ground. Well I can take it down by at least two; tweezers (hardly any eyebrows) and nail clippers (bite my nails), that should lighten the load. ;)

Oh, slippers. I guess that would be a good idea. I will have to buy some since I run around barefoot all the time.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing......that I would need more sleep for the hunt, and it will take me a little time to get ready that morning. However, considering that it's MY roomies who are going to Riverbelle that morning, I have a feeling I'll be up. :lmao:

I may end of joining them afterall.....since I'll already be up. :rotfl:

I have to say I am really excited about Mimi's Tuesday morning! Last time I was there I tried their new Pacific Croissant....:scared1: I just checked their website and it's not on the menu anymore :scared1: That is just no right!

That is what I had both times before and plan to get again. Maybe I will have you order for me so it will be ready for me when I get done with PP!

It will depend on how much my roomies kick my butt in gear that morning, but if I'm lagging behind the early birds, we can grab something quick together, whether it's a muffin from the store at the HOJO to eat in the room, or a quick stop at McDonalds. If you hear a knock on your door Saturday morning, it'll probably be me. Otherwise, you know my roomies poured Diet Pepsi down my throat and then hauled me over to Riverbelle.

Hey, at least you will still be in the same time zone. I will be just a few hours off....it will seem much earlier to me than you!! You may have to hook up the coffee IV for me!

Sadly with me, being up and being ready are not one and the same. :sad2:

No problem. :)

I'll bring the funnel! (note to self, add funnel to packing list!) Speaking of funnels...I have never had the funnel cake at...well, anywhere...is it any good? Should I put it on my list of things to try?

Okay so this is what our Saturday looks like now:

Saturday 2/27(black pirate shirt)DL 8-midnight, DCA 10-9
Breakfast: Riverbelle Terrace @ park opening, or on your own
Mother/Daughter Club group photo @ 8:45 (meet place TBD)
Ladies Trip Group photo @ 9:00 in front of castle
Scavenger Hunt @ 10:00 in Carnation Plaza
Lunch options:
Thunder Mtn. BBQ @ 2:30 or on your own
Group viewing of the Billy Hill Show (meet @ 3:30 at Golden Horseshoe)
Dinner: Jazz Kitchen @ 7:30
Fireworks viewing: Meet at Coke Corner @ 8:50

It's busy, with lots of things set at very specific times, but it will all be a lot of fun!! :cool1:

Also, I called Disney to ask about reserving tables at the Billy Hill show. The CM was quite nice and helpful, but after putting me on hold for awhile and checking with different people, he said they don't do that.
I thought it was worth a shot to ask.

Cristabel, I know you are going to ask at City Hall. Maybe they will tell you something different. :thumbsup2

I also tried to find out what time PFF and Pixie Hollow open so we can pin down meet times for those two activities, but he said they won't know that for sure until about a week prior. I'll keep checking though.

It's nice to have the times and meet places coming together. Makes it a bit more concrete. :)

Isn't she in Ohio? And I think Shirley is in Virginia...i think.

SarahMay

Sounds right to me. But, the joy of coming from East Coast time to West Coast time is that it is actually 3 hours later here. So, the challenge for Daisy and Shirley will not be the mornings but rather the evenings as 8:00 am our time is actually 11:00 am according to their biological clock.

Beth, I have officially cancelled my room, so it can be removed from the rooming list and I can just float at the bottom of the list until I get something figured out.
