DDC XIV - It's a trap!!!

I am getting a new smartphone

Currently have a Blackberry, but am going to change to either iPhone 4S or Android...

This is where you come in...

Which one do you have? or recommend, and why?

I am a computer techie-type and I used to have an Android device. I used to bash Apple and iPhone even though I never used one - because that was 'the thing to do' being a strict PC guy (and ex-hardcore PC gamer.)

I got an iPad 2 in March (for work purposes) and I was hooked immediately. Needless to say, when my contract ended on the Android device, I switched to the iPhone 4S and haven't looked back. DW still has her Android, because her contract is not due for upgrade for several more months, and she has agreed to take over my iPhone 4S when the new iPhone 5 comes out so I can get the 5.

They are both great platforms, but the user experience is SO much better on the iPhone, IMO.

i have the iphone 4s and love it. :thumbsup2 oops, why, because tammy has the same one and being i have no idea what im doing, she could bail me out with very little effort.

The wife and I switched from BB to iPhone and it's like going from black and white tv to a big ole HDTV flatscreen (ease of use, features, etc). Be sure to get applecare if you get it, they cover cracked screens, etc.

Check out amazon or buy.com for accessories regardless of what you get, they are cheap and just as good as the ones in the stores. I worked for a wireless provider in college and the markup on chargers/cases/screenprotectors is insane!! I remember the invoice sheet would have the cost of $3.00 for a leather case and the retail would be $30.00

LOVE LOVE LOVE the iPhone 4S

Two votes for iPhone.

Any Droid users out there who can share their experiences.

I also work in IT, but we have been strictly a blackberry shop up until now.

We are just starting to introduce iPhones and Droids. We have not rolled it out to any users yet. My boss just got the iPhone today and asked me which I want. He kinda would prefer me to get the Droid (but it's still my choice) simply for support purposes. This way we have the different platforms covered in within the dept.
There are a couple others in the dept, and I am hoping one of them will get a droid, so it makes my decision easier.

All droids are not created equally. All use android, but various manufacturers will add their flavor to it (HTC Sense). I work in an IT shop and we have prob half droids/iphones. I've seen a few go from droid to iphone, but haven't seen anybody leave their iphone yet.

Looking at probably the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE

Can I also call Tammy when I need help?

We joined the world of Iphone around the same time as Dave and Tammy and LOVE IT!! We had used Palm before that....uuugh!

I can only imagine what that's like in your line of work. For my job, all the goals for the year have to be met by 12/31... so right now this is our slow time. It's the only way I can get caught up on the thread! :lmao::lmao:

People always seem to want to drink year round. A lot more near holidays when you spend time with families. :rotfl2:

It’s that time once again!

Today I mark 12,000 posts.

That’s twelve times ten times one hundred. Or one thousand times twelve. That’s a lot.

Trying to show off with your math on this board, you know that's pushing it for us!
