We have talked about it. Bob had never been! I need to figure out how to deal with his needs to see how easy it would be to take him up there to look at some trees. LOL!

I think is plenty of views to be had from a car on a drive around the basin. You could get out in a few sections, but down around the trees might be hard to get to. The do offer a river cruise to see the trees.

This year is the 100th anniversary, so i will be going.

Good Morning J's & K's!

It is a bright beautiful day here too. :sunny:

Must go make myself a cupa coffee. It is early out here and I have been up for over an hour without coffee :scared1:

DIS is having issues again! Double post....and that was after I received a "Fatal Error" message. Hmmm what does that exactly mean? :confused3

Elin Thank you for posting the pictures of the cherry trees. So pretty and I imagine the scent is inspiring.

BTW, are you planning on going to the festival?

You guys are so lucky...I would love to attend this one day. Too bad I don't live closer it would be great to be there for the 100th. We all could do a mini meet. :)

So what is everyone doing this weekend for St. Patrick's Day? :dance3:

I will fix my Irish traditional dinner. Think we will check the internet to see what all is going on in our area. The last time I check there was a Scottish dance group preforming at the local library and a pub crawl to all the Irish named pubs/bars with drinks like s** on the Irish beach. When I lived in the Chicago area there was TON's of neat things to do. Sometimes I miss Chicago...but not in the winter!

Alison are you done with your planting and digging? Your yard is going to be so pretty. By the way your sense of humor and timing are really great! You have a sharp wit girl.

Laura hope your enjoying the nice weather there. How great to go shopping for new clothes without any guilt! Not that you should have guilt....I just usually have to justify my new things in my mind. Being out of state for a couple of weeks working and having no warm weather clothes would be a great justification for me! Have fun. :)

Kathy good to see you

Wendy you made me laugh out loud with your “pool boy” story. Great!!

Pam if your reading this. Thinking of you and know you are having a super great time. Cruise should be starting any day now. I wonder if they will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day onboard?

Kim Your dog is the perfect color for your new kitchen. He/she looks great in there. :dogdance:

Have a great day everyone!

Ann

Good morning, Js & Ks! :sunny:

Ann -It is so nice to read your chatty posts in the morning! :goodvibes

It is supposed to go to 87 here today. Yes it is the middle of March. Yes we live in the mid-Atlantic area. :upsidedow

Wendy, Elin, Brandi, Laura, so glad you are all enjoying beautiful weather. Love the pool boy story!

Ann, you are up early! You're too kind with your compliments!

Kimmar, what can I say? :rotfl2: I hope your kitchen is done for St. paddy's day so you can make all that Irish bacon!

We're getting ready for some rain this weekend. It's been cold here. The is only supposed to be in the 60s!

It's cold, gloomy and rainy up here in Northern CA also! If we ever get up to the mountains would make for a great ski day! Everyone else enjoy your wonderful spring weather!!!

Afternoon J's & K's - hope everyone is doing great today!!! :flower3:

It's SO nice outside, we went and got some hybiscus plants to put in my pots around the pool, I wanted some more palms, but, they are pricey still!!!! I am going back for some tomato plants when they come in - I love fresh toms!!! Summer is DEF here though, I'm able to actually stick my foot in without freezing to death!!!! YAY - won't be long now till actual swimming!!

On another note............ I did get CL for our last day, but, we have to check - out, check back in........... :sad2: - what I'm wondering is, can we do the sunrise safari?? DS wants to do it so bad.......... but, I don't want to wait till our very last day, and I'm not even sure if they do it that day, plus with having to check out/in.......... I'm afraid we'd miss it. Am I making sense??? Is Don still over at IPO? I might shoot him an email and ask.......... but, in the mean time, anyone know if it's possible to do it earlier in the trip?

Hope you all have a fantastic wonderful weekend - :grouphug:

I have been to the festival every year for a couple of years now (8), and this year I bet all the blooms are gone before the festival starts... Peak bloom was the 26th of march and today it was announced that it is now the 20th of March. The parade is April 14, 2012.... Oh well I will post pictures as soon as I get them taken, early next week.
