"I smell Elephants" and Forbidden Journey's, Jaydens Make a Wish trip !

What a great idea to have him do a Bucket List!!! Wow~ I would love to do the things on his list too....except the Navy. :lmao: Actually, I have sort of already accomplished that one since DH was in the Navy when we got married...perhaps Jayden can marry a sailor to fulfil that one! :rotfl2:

Funny thing is, I don't know where he even came up with some of these places. :confused3 What 7 year old dreams of seeing the Eiffel Tower ??

how sweet :goodvibes hope he will be able to fulfill his dreams :)

I plan on making it one of my own lifes missions to help him accomplish as many as I can !

How precious!!! And definitely something to be kept into the "memory box"!

Definitely ! :goodvibes

That is so cool...I love that he wants to go to Lost Vegas;)

Another place I have no idea where he came up with ! :confused3

Love the Bucket List. :thumbsup2

Me too. :goodvibes

The other day Jayden was talking about all the things he want's to do and places he wants to go. So I told him all about having a "bucket list" although he's a bit too young to be thinking about kicking the "bucket". He thought this was a cool idea and his mind started racing with all sorts of ideas. I had him put them to paper (it became a writing assignment in disguise ;) ) and he was SO excited. Jayden has such a zest for life and learning. He's a little sponge and he is so aware of everything that is going on around him (sometimes a bit too aware) and he just want's to see everything and do everything.
I really want to encourage him to fulfill all his dreams and do and see everything he want's to and not have any regrets ! :goodvibes

Translation: 1. Go to Disneyland (he wants to see Carsland)
2. Go to a big castle (a real one :confused3)
3. Go to New York (to see the Statue of Liberty)
4. Las Vegas (to see all the lights and hotels)
5. Play Piano (he loves playing piano and is actually pretty good, but he want's to take lessons.
6. Be in the Navy (my oldest son is in Boston right now testing to go in the navy and Jayden want's to follow in his footsteps, although I know it won't be possible for him .. I don't want to squelch his dream of joining just yet. ;) )
7. Go camping
8. Go fishing (I feel like such a bad parent because I have never taken him fishing !!)
9. Go to Paris (to see the Eiffel Tower).

I just thought I'd share this with you all. Jayden has been such an inspiration to me since the day he was born. I'm excited for him each day as he grows and matures and would love to see him accomplish all his goals and dreams !! :goodvibes
That is so sweet and attainable! Some he can actually do now. :yay: I wanted to go to Vegas and get married (Serioulsy). DH vetoed the idea...

Lovin your trip report :) What a wonderful time you all had!!

That was SO great that you got the free wands at Ollivianders!! We loooove harry potter land SO much and we aren't even reall hp fans!! It's such a cool place!

Mardi Gras looked real cool too!! Wow, the boys had SO many necklaces on! LOL. I'm wondering if it weighed them down at all?? LOL I know they are light but there were SO MANY!! HAHA!

I loved seeing all the matching shirts for the boys too :) They are great :)

Holy cow, that is adorable. :goodvibes

I'd love to take him to Vegas .. I think he'd like it a lot. I took my daughter, Jill, when she was 13 and she thought it was awesome. So, maybe some day I can get him there. I'm going to try my best.

We are all looking forward to going back there !

Funny thing about the necklaces is that people were actually buying them before the parade started, but I knew better ! They toss them by the handfuls .. now i have this huge pile of necklaces that I have no idea what to do with ! :confused3

I loved all the shirts too ! We were so blessed by some amazing DISers !

Hi everyone .. just wanted to check in and let you know that I have not abandoned my TR .. we've just been a bit busy.
Jayden had a cardiology appointment and had to wear a holter monitor for a few days. I got the report back and it may as well be in a foreign language .. but I guess theres nothing serious. He has a few things going on but the cardio described them as being benign .. so I guess that's good.

Then we went on a mini vacation to Maine ! It was awesome and we had a great time on the beach. I took my mom and little cousin along as well and everyone had a terrific vacation.

Here's a few pics from our weekend ..

We stay in Ogunquit/Wells area of Maine .. it's very quaint and peaceful (for the most part). We love going to Footbridge beach because there is a quiet little inlet that the kids love to play at. Then it's just a short walk over the hill to the ocean.

We spent most of the first day at the inlet .. but went over to the ocean side to visit with a friend that was there as well. We were surprised at how WARM the ocean water was !! I can't normally get the boys to go in the water .. but they loved it !

We went to town the next day to buy them some boogie boards .. we travel by Trolley .. :thumbsup2

Wow~what a great vacation!!!! :cool1: That place does look beautiful. :beach: Ahhh~ I would love to get my toes in some sand. But since we don't live near ocean, for us the choice is always beach vacation or Disney vacation....not really a choice if you ask me. :rotfl2:

what a beautiful area! the boys look so cute with their boogie boards!
happy to hear Jayden is doing so well!

I'm still here and reading along (even if I'm not commenting due to my MIL's and brother's illnesses).

Love the mini vacation and the pictures at the beach.

Looks like you had a very nice relaxing weekend. The beaches look like alot of fun. The boys looked like they had a blast with the boards.

Love the Bucket List. Those are all great things to do.:goodvibes

:goodvibesWhat beautiful pictures from Maine. We always pass the exit on our way up to Lovell, Maine. I used to work with someone who vacationed there every year because she loved it so much.

I've got some awesome and exciting news !!

We .. are .. going .. to .. DISNEYLAND !!!! :faint:

I can hardly believe it .. but we are going !! One of Jaydens bucket wishes is to see Carsland. SO after a lot of praying and numbers crunching and blessings, it's a GO. We will be there from October 5th - 10th staying at the Anaheim Marriott. My daughter, Jillianne and my grandson Maddox will be coming with us. This will be Maddox's first Disney trip .. and WHAT a trip !! :lmao: I haven't booked flights yet .. that's going to be the biggest expense of all .. I am going to have faith that I can find some I can afford !!

I guess I better finish this TR up before I have to start a new one !! :rotfl:

I totally understand .. we live just 2 hours away .. still a drive .. but not too bad. We love it there and I know we are lucky to be so close ! :goodvibes

It was a lot of fun. They don't normally go in the water .. but it was actually warm ! Unusual for Maine beaches .. but we won't complain !

We go every year as well .. I can't imagine going to any other beach !

So excited for you guys! which Marriott? theres a few.

let me know if you have any questions about DLR...have almost 40 trips there under my belt.

will let you know the best and closest airport to DLR is John Wayne , Orange County (code is SNA) it might cost you a bit more but you won't have to deal with the LA traffic.

Knotts Berry Farm (theme park) is just up the road about 6 miles and Universal Hollywood about an hour depending on traffic, its different than the one in FL though, haven't been to either in years, so not sure what's there currently.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for a trip to Disneyland.

:yay::yay::yay::yay:

I know .. so exciting !! :cool1:

We are doing LAX .. it's cheaper and we have Disney Resort express. We don't mind the drive since we've never been to CA before and I'm sure our noses will be pressed against the windows taking it all in !
We are staying at the Marriott Suites on Harbor BLVD ... still not sure how you get to the parks. I guess theres some sort of trolley/buses ?? I just hope the stops aren't too far from our hotel. :confused3
