So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

Hi there! I'm back from my FABULOUS trip to Hilton Head and glad I caught up here before you leave for your FABULOUS trip! In case I don't get back before you leave, I hope you and Kay have a great time and say hi to Anita and her gang for me!!

I saw a super cute picture of Harper on the plane with her bedazzled mickey ears!

Great pictures of those adorable girls and you got the lion in a good shot. I never see him up and around.

Wonderful trip to the zoo! Thanks for sharing

Oh I missed that one on my T shirt mission. I really really like it.

It does. It definitely does!

Oh those outfits, adorable! What a fun morning

We enjoy going to the zoo, and it was a perfect day for it.

I like buying resort t-shirts. I have Pop (from a hundred years ago), All-Stars (also from a hundred years ago), Beach Club, Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Old Key West, and Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I love looking at the Animal Kingdom shops. I never buy anything, but they have wonderful and different items.

The train station is one of my favorite places to just wonder around and read. The no cooking on the train is one of my favorite signs. People that don't take the time to catch the non-thrill attractions at the parks miss out on alot of the simple pleasures and fun of Disney.

You know I love the little things in Disney World!
I am okay with everyone else staying with the big attractions, though, so our 'secret' places stay uncrowded. :ssst:

I like the jewelry made out of park maps! Very cute and it's a nice Disney touch that nobody has to know about because it doesn't scream Disney.
I love the girls' matching outfits!
Your trip is getting so close! My spring break starts Thursday, but sadly, I won't be going to Disney. I know Disney on Ice is coming next weekend, so maybe I'll go to that.

True about the jewelry. A nice little hidden Disney thing.

We have enjoyed several Disney on Ice shows. It is a very nice dose of Disney magic between trips. ::yes::

I love the girls' outfits! So cute!

We've never made it back to Rafiki's area, but it looks really interesting!

We love reading and seeing things about animals, so it's a hit with us. The animal procedures are interesting. I have seen a tiny field mouse up to a huge tiger, and every animal was treated with the utmost care. Those doctors and other castmembers are wonderful.

Frist I get to tour world showcase with you this morning and I think, oh how I would love to be walking there this morning. Then I get to walk around Animal Kingdom with you and think, oh I wish I were there! To have to choose between the two...:thumbsup2 Now THAT'S a good problem to have! 9 more months to dream about it I guess SIGH

Will have to live vicariously through Anita this week and you next week In the meantime, we are off to the science center today. Sue the dinosaur is in town and they are having a LEGO build weekend, my boys will be in heaven!

Dinosaurs and Legos - definitely boy heaven! :thumbsup2

Anita is not pleased with the view from the room, and she says it smells of smoke (or maybe Marc said that), so I suggested maybe they go ask if there was another place available. Using the smoke issue could get them a better view in the long run. As much as they stay at Beach Club, they should get some 'seniority' privileges, and they deserve a decent view where they can enjoy the balcony without a bunch of smoke.

Those darn cars. All of our cars (except Ryan's) needed work this year. Cody's needed $1,700.00!!!

LOVE the girls outfits. So cute!!

Wow that's great that you have 2 weeks off!! How long are you in Disney??

The temps down in Fl look great!!

I will be in Disney World from this Wednesday morning until next Wednesday evening. The temps do look good. It will be 50ish here all week - not bad, but not Florida, either. ;)

As for the car, I just keep telling myself I should be soooo happy to have one, so I have nothing to complain about.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The girls all look so cute in their matching outfits. Did the Friends family coordinate their outfits in advance?

Yes, they did coordinate. I don't remember where the got them - maybe Kohl's.

A lot of people at church had on their green, but I didn't even think about it. I was wearing black, white, and tan, but thankfully, nobody was doing any pinching. I talked to Carson and Parker for a few minutes, but they didn't notice and try to harm me.

Yay for being done with school for a while!! Do you teach in a year-round school? Your breaks are so much better than mine!

Great safari pictures...you got a great lion picture! I've yet to see him walking around, or even sitting up for that matter...he's been asleep on every safari I have ever been on. Last time I rode, they didn't do the whole "Simba 1...Simba 1...there are poachers...save the baby elephant" business. Did they do it when you were there, or have they stopped doing it?

Last time I went on safari, I took this for Poolrat and your pictures reminded me to post it!

We went to Rafiki's for the first time this January, and we liked it as well!! I would have never visited if it hadn't been for your last TR. I guess we just never thought it was worth it, but it totally is!! ::yes::

The girl's outfits are adorable!!!! Very appropriate for AK!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is the first year they have done a one week fall break and a two week spring break. Next year's schedule is supposed to include two weeks for both. They are experimenting to see what the parents like and what works well.

We have been fortunate enough to see lions up and walking around a few times, and we have heard them roaring, as well. It is very cool to see them doing something beside sitting or snoozing. The Little Red spiel is no more.

Glad you got over to see Rafiki. :)

Yay for packing!!! I love the AK pictures. I cannot wait to be back there. I saw the Magic Treehouse book in your pictures. Cooper just read that for AR. We love those books. He would be happy to see them in a store at AK. I have not even thought about packing but I have more time than you. I cannot believe Anita is already there! I love seeing her pictures on FB. Can you tell I am excited to go?

Brooklynn is reading Junie B. Jones books right now. I'll have to see if she has any Treehouse books.

I pretty much got my packing done yesterday. I have only the last minute things - hair stuff, what little make-up I wear, etc. - to put in. I have things ready to be put in the carry-on, too, so I am ahead of what I normally am.

Just read your intro and am so happy you made it through that scary ordeal. Subscribing to read all about your celebration!

Glad to have you here. I will probably put up one more set of pictures today, and then that will be it until I get back. Maybe you would enjoy pictures from one of the past trips while you wait. Just keep in mind, I sometimes take pictures of 'nothing' things, like doorknobs, statues, floors and ceilings, or things most people might think are odd. :upsidedow

I love your Animal Kingdom day! All the girls look so cute in their animal print finery - very adorable. :

The picture of all the girls turned out great, but I understand the fears with baby & the hard ground below! Looks like Brooklyn had her pretty tight.

I'm so excited your trip is THIS WEEK! You'll have such a great time! Mom and I drove to Chicago this weekend, and Caroline & Faith and my sister in law are here all week, so we have lots of fun things planned. Pedicures, lunches with the ladies, etc. We're looking forward to it!

I also have one (maybe two!) more people joining my group at New Year's Eve. My youngest brother is a definite in, and my sister thinks she'll be able to go. She graduates in December but doesn't think she starts her internship til later in January, so she should be able to come too! (MeMom and Jill, this is the same brother and sister you met a few Fourth of Julys ago, at OHana). I'm super pumped, it sounds like we'll have a nice group of folks for NYE festivities.

Have a great start to your (Disney!) week!

I think it makes the whole year happier knowing we have a big Disney finish to it! :cool1:

Have a fun week with your family! I know you are enjoying have the little girls there. princess: princess:

Yes, you will have to enlighten us on all of your Hilton Head fun! And now, you are back in the :cold:.

Those ears are awesome, aren't they? That creative little Miss Anita Wigd!

We have been lucky enough to see lions up and moving several times. It's way cool! ::yes::

This morning's procedure was on an opossum, or 'possum, as they say in the south.

I think Donald was a girl inside, because he/she went on and and on.... and on.... about the baby. A little too much for a guy, I'm thinking.

Great character pictures, they bring back great memories from my last Disney trip. We had lunch with Donald and we met him inside out of the rain. The lunch was one of the better meals at Disney. I love both the soups. I think lunch with the character is something they have just added to the mix at Tusker House.

What do you mean "Donald was a girl inside." What are you saying?? :rotfl2:

I mean a boy Donald would have waved at Sophie and maybe touched her little hands and then moved on, but this Donald was so into her that Jill had a hard time moving on, to be honest. It just screamed 'girlie' to me. ::yes::

In cash register conversation, we learned that this lady used to live in Nashville, and her husband taught school in the same district in which I teach.

Oct2012Middle221.jpg

We hooked up with Dave and Kathy at Rainforest Cafe. They had their granddaughter with them.

Oct2012Middle222.jpg

At this time, Brooklynn and I were going to stay to meet up with Brandy, Sloan, Carson, and Parker after a little while. The others were going back for a long afternoon rest, as this was our MNSSHP night.

So there are people in those outfits? ;)

Loving the Tusker House pictures....just what I needed after a wild morning.

Enjoy your trip!

Love AK & all the pics:thumbsup2

Have a wonderful time in Disney. I will be wearing my boots to work tomorrow as another foot of snow is headed our way.:( Enough already!!!!

Love the Tusker House pictures. We just booked a lunch there for next week. We have Chef Mickey breakfast and Tusker house lunch, so I am happy. I am also excited to eat at BOG and try Boma again. I need to start packing tonight. I am at lunch right now. I am supposed to be writing my patient notes.:rolleyes1
Have a great rainy Tennessee day!

We have a special request for good thoughts and prayers for stasieki tonight. She has pneumonia, and she is supposed to be at a family wedding tomorrow with daughter, Abby, as the flower girl. We need her to have a good night's rest and feel much better tomorrow! ::yes:: I am hoping she can at least go for some of the festivities and be able to enjoy the day to some degree.

We made it to my husbands step brothers wedding and Abby was an angel. I cried watching her walk down the aisle. My meds were working good. I paid for it a bit on Sunday but took off work today and seem to be turning the corner. Thank you all for the prayers:flower3:

These cookies are very large. You can nibble on them for 2-3 days.

Oct2012Middle046.jpg
Well you weren't supposed to buy the whole tray full................... :rotfl:

And that Apple Strudel in Germany sounds fantastic!!! Of course, when you add some Werther's Original caramel on top, how can you go wrong??? Always have to stop and check out the trains when I'm passing the Germany pavilion!

From Germany to Italy

Oct2012Middle054.jpg
Oh yes, the famous burro!!!

Love watching Sergio, but need to catch the whole show sometime. And the Voices of Liberty are so talented!

Can you smell the sweet funnel cakes?

Oct2012Middle067.jpg
Oh you just HAD to do that didn't you??? :faint:

As you may have heard, I will be here

Oct2012Middle069.jpg

at this time next week.
:woohoo: on your trip being so close!!! Almost time........... In case I don't make it back over before you leave, I hope you have a wonderful trip, even though I know you will feel like a part of you is missing!

I was pretty much moving on here only taking a couple of shots.

Oct2012Middle081.jpg
As empty as the place is, I can't understand why.............

Pretty day, huh?

Oct2012Middle085.jpg
Absolutely beautiful! I hope you have days just like that during your trip!

Browsing through shops.

Oct2012Middle089.jpg
Nice!

I had come to this place for one reason.

Oct2012Middle094.jpg

Oh, my goodness! This may not look like much, but it was melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. The mushrooms were perfect.

Oct2012Middle095.jpg
Great choice! I would love to take the opportunity to try the Cheddar Cheese soup some day if I make it to F&W!

Today was my last day of school for two full weeks, so that is good.

It cost $339 to get a bunch of things done to my old car, so that is not good.

I have a car, and it is paid for, so that is good.

Next week, I will be in Florida, and that is good.

I guess the goods outweigh that one bad, right?
You at least have to think so!!! And a definite :woohoo: for two weeks off!!! I think you should go to Disney World................

Safari first, as usual. I took very few pictures, because I never get good safari pictures.

Oct2012Middle109.jpg
Great job capturing a pic of that elusive stump-iraffe!!! :lmao:

Super picture of the Lion!!!

Well, sort of.

Oct2012Middle125.jpg
Nice Hippo shot...........and too funny about the birds turning him into their own private island!!!

Time for a little shopping.

Oct2012Middle137.jpg
This gives new meaning to the term camouflage......... ::yes::

Jambo is my favorite way to say hello.
Jambo MeMom!!! :wave2:

Some people never go back to this guy's place, but we really enjoy it.

Oct2012Middle157.jpg
Nice picture........the notes are "interesting."

I love the buffet at Tusker House, and you got some great pictures of the girls with the Character Meets!

Okay I admit it, you lost me a little with all the shopping!!! :rolleyes1 Can't wait to hear all about your trip though........

I have only had breakfast at Tusker House. I need to try lunch or dinner there. I have a half thought of trying to get into Yak & Yeti this time, as it is the only AK restaurant I have not tried.

So there are people in those outfits? ;)

Oops, sorry. I thought you knew. I did not want to be the one to spoil if for you. :flower3:

Loving the Tusker House pictures....just what I needed after a wild morning.

Enjoy your trip!

What kind of wild do you have going on at your house, pal?

I will enjoy. The temperatures look good - about 20 to 25 degrees warmer than her throughout the week.

Love AK & all the pics:thumbsup2

Have a wonderful time in Disney. I will be wearing my boots to work tomorrow as another foot of snow is headed our way.:( Enough already!!!!

I am going to try to get a BOG lunch. I am going more for pictures than for the food, although I am always up for new food choices, too.

I bought one cookie, and there was no ay I could have eaten that all at once!

I had the cheddar cheese soup when we ate at Le Cellier. It is so good when you dip the pretzel in it.

It looks like our temps will be in the 70's and 80's for highs with a couple of days of rain.

Disney World? I believe I will. :thumbsup2

Little late to the party, but I'm joining in now. :)

The door is always open. We are glad you are here. You have come at a place o stopping, as I doubt there will be much going on here for the next eight days while I am gone. Hang in there with us, though. I will try to do some live updates.

Brooklynn checked out the snakes, but I already knew that Jill had said no more snakes, so when she hugged one and smiled at me, I knew to remind her of that.

The sad thing was, the wait was too long, and I had promised Jill we would be back at the room in time for Brooklynn to get some rest, so we had to bow out.

We talked for a few minutes and then headed out. They talked about maybe getting Fastpasses for later, but I don't know if they did or not.

Oct2012Middle244.jpg

Oct2012Middle245.jpg

That's it for now, and for until I get back from this trip, unless Jill decides to put on some of her good safari pictures. I will try to put up some live updates from Disney World, and Kay's phone goes to FB, so I'll have her put up some and tag me in them. Also, I will send some pictures to Jill's phone and have her put them up, as well.

Oh, goodness, I can't believe it's that time already! Send some warmth up this way! We're supposed to be getting a nasty storm tonight into tomorrow - snow, rain, sleet. They keep changing the totals, but now we're kind of on the line of 4-7" and 6-10" (I'm located in a weird place...north of Boston, but not extremely north, so we're always on the line.) The morning commute is supposed to be horrible, so fingers are crossed!

Have a safe and wonderful trip!

I'm ashamed to admit how long it took me to realize that there was an 'O' at the beginning of opossum.

Love the matching out fits all the girls are wearing! So precious.

Have a wonderful trip! pixiedust:

I got the text - no work for me tomorrow, woohoo! I was really hoping for this, because the superintendent screwed up pretty badly not calling off school during the last storm about a week and a half ago. Are you sending pixie dust already? :goodvibes

Last time I went on safari, I took this for Poolrat and your pictures reminded me to post it!

I never did quote the pictures but a few comments:

Bella looks like she could jump in that bin of cheetahs or leopards? and disappear.

I heard Mickey and Minnie to the Adventurers Post, Donald and Goofy or Maybe Daisy? to the dock area where Pooh and friends were and then Pooh and friends are going to Camp Mickey Minnie.
