Wonderful trip to the zoo! Thanks for sharing
Oh I missed that one on my T shirt mission. I really really like it.
It does. It definitely does!
Oh those outfits, adorable! What a fun morning
We enjoy going to the zoo, and it was a perfect day for it.
I like buying resort t-shirts. I have Pop (from a hundred years ago), All-Stars (also from a hundred years ago), Beach Club, Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Old Key West, and Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I love looking at the Animal Kingdom shops. I never buy anything, but they have wonderful and different items.
The train station is one of my favorite places to just wonder around and read. The no cooking on the train is one of my favorite signs. People that don't take the time to catch the non-thrill attractions at the parks miss out on alot of the simple pleasures and fun of Disney.
You know I love the little things in Disney World!
I am okay with everyone else staying with the big attractions, though, so our 'secret' places stay uncrowded.
I like the jewelry made out of park maps! Very cute and it's a nice Disney touch that nobody has to know about because it doesn't scream Disney.
I love the girls' matching outfits!
Your trip is getting so close! My spring break starts Thursday, but sadly, I won't be going to Disney. I know Disney on Ice is coming next weekend, so maybe I'll go to that.
True about the jewelry. A nice little hidden Disney thing.
We have enjoyed several Disney on Ice shows. It is a very nice dose of Disney magic between trips.
I love the girls' outfits! So cute!
We've never made it back to Rafiki's area, but it looks really interesting!
We love reading and seeing things about animals, so it's a hit with us. The animal procedures are interesting. I have seen a tiny field mouse up to a huge tiger, and every animal was treated with the utmost care. Those doctors and other castmembers are wonderful.
Frist I get to tour world showcase with you this morning and I think, oh how I would love to be walking there this morning. Then I get to walk around Animal Kingdom with you and think, oh I wish I were there! To have to choose between the two...
Now THAT'S a good problem to have! 9 more months to dream about it I guess SIGH
Will have to live vicariously through Anita this week and you next week In the meantime, we are off to the science center today. Sue the dinosaur is in town and they are having a
LEGO build weekend, my boys will be in heaven!
Dinosaurs and Legos - definitely boy heaven!
Anita is not pleased with the view from the room, and she says it smells of smoke (or maybe Marc said that), so I suggested maybe they go ask if there was another place available. Using the smoke issue could get them a better view in the long run. As much as they stay at Beach Club, they should get some 'seniority' privileges, and they deserve a decent view where they can enjoy the balcony without a bunch of smoke.
Those darn cars. All of our cars (except Ryan's) needed work this year. Cody's needed $1,700.00!!!
LOVE the girls outfits. So cute!!
Wow that's great that you have 2 weeks off!! How long are you in Disney??
The temps down in Fl look great!!
I will be in Disney World from this Wednesday morning until next Wednesday evening. The temps do look good. It will be 50ish here all week - not bad, but not Florida, either.
As for the car, I just keep telling myself I should be soooo happy to have one, so I have nothing to complain about.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
The girls all look so cute in their matching outfits. Did the Friends family coordinate their outfits in advance?
Yes, they did coordinate. I don't remember where the got them - maybe Kohl's.
A lot of people at church had on their green, but I didn't even think about it. I was wearing black, white, and tan, but thankfully, nobody was doing any pinching. I talked to Carson and Parker for a few minutes, but they didn't notice and try to harm me.
Yay for being done with school for a while!! Do you teach in a year-round school? Your breaks are so much better than mine!
Great safari pictures...you got a great lion picture! I've yet to see him walking around, or even sitting up for that matter...he's been asleep on every safari I have ever been on. Last time I rode, they didn't do the whole "Simba 1...Simba 1...there are poachers...save the baby elephant" business. Did they do it when you were there, or have they stopped doing it?
Last time I went on safari, I took this for
Poolrat and your pictures reminded me to post it!
We went to Rafiki's for the first time this January, and we liked it as well!! I would have never visited if it hadn't been for your last TR. I guess we just never thought it was worth it, but it totally is!!
The girl's outfits are adorable!!!! Very appropriate for AK!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This is the first year they have done a one week fall break and a two week spring break. Next year's schedule is supposed to include two weeks for both. They are experimenting to see what the parents like and what works well.
We have been fortunate enough to see lions up and walking around a few times, and we have heard them roaring, as well. It is very cool to see them doing something beside sitting or snoozing. The Little Red spiel is no more.
Glad you got over to see Rafiki.
Yay for packing!!! I love the AK pictures. I cannot wait to be back there. I saw the Magic Treehouse book in your pictures. Cooper just read that for AR. We love those books. He would be happy to see them in a store at AK. I have not even thought about packing but I have more time than you. I cannot believe Anita is already there! I love seeing her pictures on FB. Can you tell I am excited to go?
Brooklynn is reading Junie B. Jones books right now. I'll have to see if she has any Treehouse books.
I pretty much got my packing done yesterday. I have only the last minute things - hair stuff, what little make-up I wear, etc. - to put in. I have things ready to be put in the carry-on, too, so I am ahead of what I normally am.
Just read your intro and am so happy you made it through that scary ordeal. Subscribing to read all about your celebration!
Glad to have you here. I will probably put up one more set of pictures today, and then that will be it until I get back. Maybe you would enjoy pictures from one of the past trips while you wait. Just keep in mind, I sometimes take pictures of 'nothing' things, like doorknobs, statues, floors and ceilings, or things most people might think are odd.
I love your Animal Kingdom day! All the girls look so cute in their animal print finery - very adorable. :
The picture of all the girls turned out great, but I understand the fears with baby & the hard ground below! Looks like Brooklyn had her pretty tight.
I'm so excited your trip is THIS WEEK! You'll have such a great time! Mom and I drove to Chicago this weekend, and Caroline & Faith and my sister in law are here all week, so we have lots of fun things planned. Pedicures, lunches with the ladies, etc. We're looking forward to it!
I also have one (maybe two!) more people joining my group at New Year's Eve. My youngest brother is a definite in, and my sister thinks she'll be able to go. She graduates in December but doesn't think she starts her internship til later in January, so she should be able to come too! (MeMom and Jill, this is the same brother and sister you met a few Fourth of Julys ago, at OHana). I'm super pumped, it sounds like we'll have a nice group of folks for NYE festivities.
Have a great start to your (Disney!) week!
I think it makes the whole year happier knowing we have a big Disney finish to it!
Have a fun week with your family! I know you are enjoying have the little girls there.
Hi there! I'm back from my FABULOUS trip to Hilton Head and glad I caught up here before you leave for your FABULOUS trip! In case I don't get back before you leave, I hope you and Kay have a great time and say hi to Anita and her gang for me!!
I saw a super cute picture of Harper on the plane with her bedazzled mickey ears!
Great pictures of those adorable girls and you got the lion in a good shot. I never see him up and around.
Yes, you will have to enlighten us on all of your Hilton Head fun! And now, you are back in the
.
Those ears are awesome, aren't they? That creative little
Miss Anita Wigd!
We have been lucky enough to see lions up and moving several times. It's way cool!
