Forecasts much beyond three days out are highly speculative and based on models that includes literally hundreds of variables.
The most recent tropical forecast I saw indicated that if the low forms (and the westerly winds are strong enough such that its formation is not given), it will send the worst rain across Florida on Thursday/Friday, and then be off the Carolina coast by Saturday, and the Atlantic seaboard around Sunday.
Other models show the system tracking just north/west of that path, while another goes just east/south of that path. The one common thread, though, is that the general path still puts the worst of the rain in Fla on Thu, maybe Fri.
So, with this info, what do you do about Florida plans on those days? Pack some rain gear, and just take things as they come. And that's about all you can do for Florida this time of year anyway.
We're supposed to be in there Saturday afternoon, so I'm hoping the models hold out and have the stuff pushed out by then. We'll see.
