So I am on my own with a houseful of 5 girls after school, a couple of playdates going on over here. They all have AG dolls, so it should be cute. And my fridge is pretty near empty!! Looks like a pizza night.:p WISH ME LUCK!!
Jen

Good luck!! I know it's cute when DD gets out her "babies" and bathes them and puts them to bed, etc.

I know isn't it sweet? Including mine these girls are 4 1/2, 5, 7, 8, 9!!

I guess playing with dolls really knows no age limits! Fine by me, I'd rather that then growing up too fast.:)

Change Alert!!!

So yesterday I booked a one way ticket to MCO for the Dec Granny trip .... which I knew I would have to change .... today SW came out with some good flight prices .... so I booked a round trip ticket. Only problem is I have to come in one day later but ...... with the money I saved on the flight and one less day at POP I was able to totally pay for a week in a 2 bedroom villa at Marriott's Cypress Harbour .... very beautiful resort! Now I'm on the lookout for a great car deal!!!

Janet if you'll please change the list:

Dec 4th - POP
Dec 5th - 12th Marriott's Villas

Now I have to decide should I book flights for Oct/Nov???? I'm pretty sure that trip will be canceled so I hate to tie up that much money. I might just hold out for SW birthday sale later this month .... maybe I'll even save a little more on the flights I booked today!!! :thumbsup2

Congrates on booking your flights today! Good Luck with the car rental :)

Visiting from the pre-trip board where I spend most of my time so I didn't know about this fabulous thread. I'm planning a big upcoming trip but it's hard to change things like I want to in my should because I am bringing my Dad and my sister and her family. It's also hard to book things with a newborn so I am stuck right now with a stay I don't 100% love. I missed the 7 month reservation window. Curses! I'll live vicariously through you all for now and dream about 2014 Star Wars weekend or a tower of terror run or maybe a summer getaway or perhaps a Christmas holiday with everyone I love again.

:welcome:
Warning - just need to vent...

So I have a TA for whatever reason...(I was pricing out different companies in comparison last year and since he ran all sorts of numbers and options for me, I went ahead and used him instead of booking it myself). Well, I used him this year too and generally he's on top of things and he's used to all my changes (although I tried to do some of my ADR changes myself this time). But I talked to him yesterday about the switch to CBR and he said he'd take care of it when he got home last night, but everything still says AKL online right now. No new email with the new requests listed and no ability to check in online yet then! :-/ I know it's not a huge deal because I'm fairly certain the pirate rooms are not going to sell out or anything, but still...I want to get everything squared away and paid for before he goes on his own trip to Disney next week!

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled programming... :-)

Krystal Hope your TA makes your changes soon.

Big news RCers: My DB is back on the WDW bandwagon. Yippee. We will go for sure for 2 days/1 night in July when he visits. Now to decide which resort... I do have Poly Lagoon View CL already booked from mom's cancellation for the exact night he will fly in from NJ... :scratchin It would make it soooo much easier if I just kept THAT one. ;) Hmmm, what park (s) to do? Where to eat? What pool in which to frolic? I just put my ears on and off to research I go. :earsboy:

That is great news that the DB is back on board.

It's pretty hard to stay caught up but I will say

I know, right? Some days it feels like an impossible task to stay caught up.

Morning...ugh, once again I am reminded why I post mainly on this thread. I replied to a post on the Disabilities board and am not happy with the semi-attack I got :( I need to reply but need to calm down and figure out a non-emotional reply. While I know everyone has an opinion, and I think special needs teachers are amazing, I really don't need a lecture on how letting Steven's Asperger's dictate our trip means I am raising him to be a mini tyrant. Okay vent over, going back to snuggling in bed with my mini tyrant ;)

 The main problem with these "experts" is that they may be a general expert in the field, but they are not an expert on your child. Being able to foresee situations that could cause Steven to have a meltdown isn't raising a mini tyrant, it's being an amazing mother.

Wookie-Im a toes in the sand girl, too. I love it even if its a fake beach&:beach:

On our way home from WDW last year, we spent the night at Pensacola Beach. Joey and I got up just as the sun was coming up and went down to the beach. We sat for the longest time, just looking out at the Gulf with our toes in the sand. It was total Heaven until this mom came down with her kids that thought every couple of seconds they needed to scream as loud as they could. When we got back to our room, I went to sit on the balcony of our 14th floor room, and their screaming was still so loud there I just went back to bed.

Got an email from Delta with flight changes, I called and got it arranged a bit better for us. We're leaving earlier, but we get to WDW before noon! :dance3::banana:

WOO HOO!! If they're going to change your flight at least it'll give you more time with the Mouse instead of less.

Wow lots of early bedtimes for RCers last night. Is 1:30 considered early? Then I'm in as well :rotfl:

If it is, then count me in as being early to bed. The first time I went to sleep was about 1:30-2-ish.

Okay, yesterday I was obsessed with getting us into WL but today I have moved over to being obsessed with a deluxe room at BWI. It would put all of us in one room and yes, we would lose one bed but in March the 8yo, 6yo and myself all slept in a double at AoA so all three in a queen would be heaven. Waiting to book is killing me but I want to wait until I have the cash in hand and not put it on my cc. I know I will be happy wherever we end up staying but it's going to be a long two weeks. The upside is more time to weigh pros and cons of each resort :)

I don't blame you. My DH is the same way with our night stay before we check into the AKL at the Swan. We could book the Swan now and just wait to pay off the extra night we added to the AKL, but the DH wants to pay off the AKL before booking the Swan. Since we'll have to pay for the night at the Swan in full when we book it, we'll have to wait a week or two to book it.

Melissa I know exactly what you meant by what you said. Some people choose to misinterpret just to stir the pot with someone. You can't win here, if you let your child meltdown in public you are horrible, if you read your childs cues and plan according to them you are horrible. Sometimes not even responding to these so-called experts is a better way of getting back at them. HUGS!! Don't let it get to you. :grouphug:

Or maybe they just really misinterpreted what you said. I know I did that one a thread and it got me points. I thought the person was justifying their position by saying "what if I lost a child". Well that is a touchy subject with you, as y'all recently found out, and I hate when people use that as a what if to excuse something. Turns out the person didn't mean, "what if I did lose one", but that they had lost one.

None of us are, and FWIW you do an amazing job with your kids.

:thumbsup2 I totally agree!! You are an amazing mother.

Sometime we get real chatty and other times a whole day goes by without any postings, you just never know ;)

Exactly. Some days it seems like 5 - 10 pages get added with chatting and other days it's like everyone has been kidnapped.

Sarah dragged me upstairs at 11pm because she couldn't sleep. I probably would have been up latter as well. I am always exhausted, my love when the house is quiet :ssst: and end up staying up way to late! I am guessing you are the same way :goodvibes

Me too!! I wanted to go to bed way earlier, but then the DH came to our room wanting to watch another episode of Continuum.

Oh, love the Epcot resort area! My kiddos wont stay at BWI because of the clown on the slide, but we walked through at Christmas time and I really did like it. I would think a queen size with the two little ones would be more than fine :thumbsup2

:grouphug:
Melissa

I would love to stay in a room at the BWI overlooking the boardwalk, but I just can't get over that creepy clown. Plus there is no way John Michael would use the pool, and the pool is the most important part of the resort to him. To him, having a bed to sleep in is just a bonus.

Jen

Good luck, I hope you make it through the night with your sanity in tact.

Well, as usually, it's been a very interesting day in the Swann house. I don't know if y'all remember, but all of the showers/bathtubs in the house are cracked (thanks to the people building this house being idiots). Anyway, a company was supposed to have come today to replace the bathtub that is in the bathroom in-between the room we sleep in and the one the boys sleep in. I had to get everything out of there last night, plungers, toiletries, everything. Well like I said earlier I went to bed at 1;30-2-ish AM. Then Joey was banging on our door (which for some reason the DH has locked) at 3:45 AM because he needed the plunger for the middle bathroom. It then took me a while to go back to sleep Then not long after 8 AM, the people were working in the middle bathroom and I swear if sounded like they had a jackhammer in there. Finally the noise stopped and I was able to go back off to sleep at about 11. When I got out of bed at 1PM, I found out why the noise had stopped. They had ordered the tub too big (which my fil told them it would be too big if they ordered the size they said they would). They won't be back until Wednesday this next week to put the new shower/tub in. Right now it's just exposed walls and floor in that bathroom. Luckily, the fil bought this stuff and used in the bathtub in their bathroom which has the leaking stopped in that one. The only problem is it only holds up to 300 lbs and the DH is over that, so everyone can use it but him. Luckily the bil only lives 5 minutes away, so the DH will go over there to shower until this one is fixed.

Now I'm off to get school work done.

Is it fixed yet? I sometimes use a TA too, but if she is away, my file gets temp. Transferred to another TA, and I'm given the contact info in case I need something. Hope it all works out.

 so sad that some people can be out right vicious on Dis :sad2: I got attacked by someone on something I didn't even say  I PMed the person and nicely said it wasn't me who said that. But they didn't have the class to apologize. No surprise!!

Another possible change: I'm thinking about canceling our Oct/Nov trip ... that way I don't have to worry about what the wedding dates are. And then booking a trip for Aug/Sept. I know it will be a lot hotter but probably less crowds. DD and I do love our pool time. :beach: I checked the DVC member site and I could still get AKV and OKW which are the resorts I wanted. The other positive is that there would be more time until the Dec Granny trip ..... :confused3

Thoughts? Ideas?????

Is anyone else totally frustrated that you can't register the new or renewed RFID AP's online? I hate calling in for rates & availability, I love to check online constantly. And I haven't been able to since March! I've called many, many times about it & each time they say "oh we're working on it, it will just be a few more days!" Grrrrrr........
I was just going to look up what AP renewal is for early renewal, but I also have a 1 day ticket I can use for renewal when I get there. Our APs exp I think on day 3. I heard they are giving a better discount on early renewal :confused3.
Maybe they are going to put APs on magic band? So have to iron out glitches? Or wishful thinking on my part!!

Truth be told I'd rather stay onsite .... who wouldn't??? :confused3 But to get a 2 bedroom villa for only $154 for the entire week .... I just couldn't pass it up! :rotfl2: Last time DD and I stayed offsite with a car we tried to see how many days we could go without riding a Disney bus .... monorail and boats didn't count .... I think we made it 6 out of 8 days! By the way, have I ever mentioned I love the boats!!! :boat:
I love the boats too!! That sure is a great deal you got!
Kook is gonna kill me :duck:

we are back to Poly CL

Be back soon, crazy busy day, BREE GREW 3 CMS !!!!!!! She passed 42in!!!!

Melissa  Love ya momma! You do awesome! I would be proud to be 1/2 as amazing as you....for the negative posters...GRRRR. You can always come home here...safe and loving :grouphug:
:banana::banana::banana:

 why did I think it would be a good idea to do a short ( is there such a thing) Costco shop today ????? A little too much me thinks! Leg now up resting. But on the bright side, I did get a new pr of Bermuda shorts, and cute pink zip up light weight jacket for August trip
Now my knee hurts!!!

:wave2: Yay, home from work...

Pas130 I only work to go to Disney...true! Well that and the health insurance...:rotfl2:

SueM...I'm a bit of a BJ's crazy person...that's a bit of an addiction...mmmm

So now that I think ;) that I have my resorts set....I will commence thinking of dining reservations...(that will probably change numerous times..:lmao:)...AK and BC...thoughts? Ideas anyone?? Help me choose...over and over again...:)

Time to rest!!! Do not over do it! But YAY for the shorts and jacket!!! :yay:

You've stayed there before, right Linda? I decided that we wanted to make it a non-MK trip and focus on F&W since it is for the hubs. Not my beloved BC but at least we'll be in the right area. :thumbsup2

I think you said you are staying in a villa ... right? If so it's a little longer walk to Epcot but I still don't think it's bad and of course you can always hop on the boat. I do like that you are right in the middle of the action but it's a short walk over to the beach at BC for a little relaxing on the sand. Of course for us it's nice and close to Jelly Rolls which is fun. If you can get it for F&W I'd grab it ... you can always change later!!! :rotfl2:
