Okay, this camp session is over. The kitchen has been cleared and cleaned, the last bathing suit has been taken from the porch rail where many laid out to dry, and all is quiet for the deer, racoons, and skunks to enjoy again. The campers have said their sweet goodbyes. They are nestled all snug in their own beds now, and many will sleep until noon to make up for the sleep they missed over the past six days. Precious memories were made, as they are every year. New friendships were formed, and old friendships were strengthened. We had one baptism. It was a good and happy week in my life.
My body may be screaming in pain, but my spirit keeps telling it to shut up.
And now, after the trip and camp and not doing proper responses or picture updates, I think I can get back to normal for a little while.
I think Lady and the Tramp are my favorite POP icons, oh and also Mowgli and Baloo.
I finally got to stay in the Mowgli & Baloo section on the March trip. I only have one section left - Lady. I have stayed multiple times in some of them, but I've not gotten Lady yet.
I am caught up and hope camp is going well.
I think .... I think things are beginning to normalize over here - Summer swim team is done and so are my duties as meet referee.
I hope when you get back we can do some July 6th planning for the Nashville meet-
Love the title of the new report.
We are ready for July 6th!
When are you going to get to Nashville?
Hope camp is going well Memom!! We had planned to try a new resort next year, but I have been looking at Pop pictures the last few days and kinda want to go back there. We loved it there, except I would beg for a king bed this time.
There's something about Pop that calls us 'home'.
We love staying at all the resorts and having the new experiences. Kidani was awesome, and Art of Animation was nice. It was great to have all that extra space for the girls. I could probably fall in love with the AoA suites, if they had balconies. As the dynamics of the family change, we may change our options. Those multi-bedroom places are definitely great!
Memom
I love that TR title, you are so clever, its now in my head to that tune
Have just got back from 3 weeks in DL. Had an absolute blast after 3 years of no Disney parks. The
ABD tour we did was just brilliant - a disney fans dream really. I met some lovely people who listen to the DIS podcast and Pete and some of the gang were with us as it was a podcast exclusive trip. Wonderful but a once in a life time trip as was very expensive but well worth it.
Bittersweet leaving disney again not knowing if and when I will be back - but I have your reports to keep me up with it all - so please dont stop.
Glad you had a lovely time on your latest trip and look forward to more reporting.
Hope you are all well and get some rest when camp finishes
Take care
Toni
I slept well last night.
How cool that you got to do an ABD trip! You will have to tell us about it.
And
for three weeks of Disney!!! My record is thirteen days, but I am all for breaking that record.
MeMom, I'm sad to say...I failed on the shopping pictures like you do.
Your pictures are wonderful! I am very much enjoying reading your report.
It's in my head too! I love it. It's perfect.
Thanks. We are on the last day of this one, so we'll start on the other one soon. I just wish I had the free time to be more consistent at updating. I will probably do okay through the rest of the summer, but then school will start and I will falter again.
