Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

I have an 8:05 THURSDAY June 12 SCI FI reservation, which we were told was a Character dinner with photo Darth and Boba and stormtroopers/Jawas. I'm hoping we can get in early and get my daughter signed up for JTA. Possible??? I asked the lady about the Thursday meeting and she assured me it was correct. I thought only on FRI,Sat,Sun for that. Does this sound right to you?

Yes, the Star Wars breakfast is held daily through June 15th. It is two dining credits if the CM didn't remind you.

Thanks. I was wondering what time should we be outside the turnstiles? We were planning on being there between 6:30-6:45. Is that early enough?

You should be fine...I would be at the entrance no later than 7, as you enter stay to your left hand side so you can go to the Indy theater to sign up as soon as it opens

For everyone coming to this thread for the first time. The first post of this thread has all the information, up to date. If after reading it you still have questions let us know.
I'm opening up Part II of this thread this evening and will put all of the same info from post 1 there.
I'll be gone (out of the house) most of the weekend, I'll try to check in as much as possible but if I might not be able to answer your questions right away.
Happy planning now that we have all the details for weekend I
And in case I forget, Happy Mother's Day weekend pixiedust:

Quick question to help me decide on Memory maker - do they take Photopass pictures during the PMC? We won't be signing DS up for JTA because we know he would get too scared and leave, but he would like to try PMC (we are going to watch on YouTube to make sure!).

I don't remember seeing a photopass photographer at PMC.

If you want to see the opening show be there by 7:20am. Darth's Mall should have LE merchandise for all weekends... some might sell out by weekend 3 but last year there was still some available weekend 4...I like going after 3pm it's more manageable

Ok, great!! Unfortunately, that's our only time for Darth Maul. We have a 12:30 D-Tech booked so figured we would shop around after that. Hopefully it won't be shoulder to shoulder.

And you think finding a spot at 10:30am for the parade is good?

Enjoy your weekend, Yulilin. Happy Mother's Day! Are you going to post the link here and in first post to your new thread?

You'll find a spot just not sure if there will be shady spots left. As you look toward the Hat down Hollywood Blvd. the left side stays shaded pretty much all the time while the right is directly in the sun

Both breakfast at sci fi and dinner at H&V are star wars related everyday until June 15. DHS is opening at 9 non sww days So you could go straight after breakfast to sign up for JTA.

We have a sci if breakfast on Wednesday at 8:05 with extra magic morning hours that day. How early will we be able to get into the park? Would my husband be able to take our son to JTA sign up and then meet us at sci-fi?

Thank you for posting this....I guess I wasn't paying attention since I didn't know any of the kids on stage :D

I think they let you in 20 minutes before your ADR. All of your payday has to be together to check in and be seated, I guess your husband could take him after you're seated it's very close

That's good to know. DS did it two years ago and I didn't remember seeing one.

I just updated my Star Wars Weekends character location map. Perhaps this could help with your planning.

Great! I have that bookmarked from last year and I see the app is updated too! Thanks.

Yes that's the plan

:thumbsup2:cool1:

Do they take any walk-ups for dtech?

I've tried so many times to get thru this week to make a dtech appt for my son. Always give up/ have to get off around 30 min mark.

Anyone know an alternate phone number or their hours?

with rope drop happening around 7;20 for Storm trooper show at 7:30 am will the rides be open or will that not open until 8 ????
