I love all the pictures around AKL. It is just so beautiful there (and can't wait to be back there in 70 days).

It really is a beautiful resort. I hope to stay there again one day.

I'm with your friend...high maitenance for me in the a.m. and why I get up before Mark every morning. I have to shower, blow dry my hair, use the curling iron, put on my make-up, etc.

I never got into all of that. I was a pure tomboy and my dad absolutely would NOT let me wear make-up so I am very easy to get out in the morning.

Breakfast looks really yummy. I'm not sure we'll have breakfast at Mara since we are using Garden Grocer, but if we do, I'm sure Mark will be ordering the same thing you had.

It really was. But to much food and I ate it all but the biscuit. I would like to stop and get some things next time we are down there. Since we drive most of the time now going to the store wouldn't be a big problem.

Hi Darla, glad to have you join in. How have you been? Your DD must be all grown up looking now. And how's your mom? I miss your TR's.

We did get a lot done that day in EPCOT. We knew it was going to be busy based on the arrival date. Thanks about the pics. I get very particular about them and wished more than once I had just brought the P&S but they were mostly good.

Thanks he is home and has taken over the house again as though he had never left. In fact he is curled up on DH right now sleeping.

I promise to have a new update soon. Life is more hectic in the summer with baseball and swimming.

The fun news -- Mom's going back to Disney!!! Actually, all of us are. The not-so-fun part - it's almost two years away. Yup - two years. We are going in May 2016, on an almost three-week trip to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We already have fairly firm dates, we're just saving up for it, so it can be fully paid for before we go (no credit card bills for this trip!).

I love AKL, we have stayed at Kidani 2x. The whole area is beautiful but very far from everything, I like staying there when we have a car.

She's not a little girl anymore. How old is she? I know she's around my DGS's age. He'll be 16 next month, is 6 feet tall and has a beard. Not my little guy anymore.

The 2 years will fly by but how awesome, an almost 3 week trip. We went on our 25th and took our DGS with us. It was more fun that way.

I love visiting the resort lobbies early in the morning. Seems almost eerily empty but fun watching them come awake.

I love AKL, we have stayed at Kidani 2x. The whole area is beautiful but very far from everything, I like staying there when we have a car.

Even with Kristel having a car we used the buses. It wasn't that bad, but it is far from some of the parks.

The topiaries amaze me. Seeing how plants are transformed into characters is amazing.

Working on the next updates. Summer has kept me busy but we are expecting heavy storms today so time for me to work on some updates.

That was actually Wishes by boat. We did that a few years ago and was an amazing treat. I didn't pay for it, thanks again Scott, but we all agreed it was definitely worth the money. The view from the boat, and the music piped in, it was awesome.

Day 2 Part 2

We had a short wait and the bus arrived. We reached our destination for the morning in about 5 minutes. Any guesses??? AKL and a 5 minute wait. Yep we headed to AK to start the day.

Then we came upon something that had me laughing. A confession here, I love some reality TV shows. One of my favorites has become Welcome to Myrtle Manor. I always joke that one day I’m selling my house and moving to a trailer park to get at my mom. Anyway this past season was stranger than normal. They lost their Silver Bullet – an old silver trailer. The security guard was convinced aliens took it. Anyway I found it


And based on the security guard this really made me laugh


We are getting closer


Then Kristel had to laugh. It was only 9:30 AM and this guy was taking a nap.


We could have saved a FP for the ride as standby was posted at 5 minutes. This is one ride I don’t usually try and take pics on. Darkness and bouncing are not easy. I did get the ride photo


Yes I was laughing. It was better than crying as I got off that one in pain and really feeling odd. I just did not feel good at all and that feeling lasted for a few hours.

Animal Kingdom is such a pretty park. I enjoy it ,ore each time we go. And there are so many little details so if you take your time to is very nice. usually I'm waiting for someone on some ride and have time to look around and explore. Sorry you were hurting, hope it got better as the say went on.

It really is a wonderful park and so many details that are easy to overlook rushing from place to place. I have issues with some rides at times. All will be revealed about how I felt soon.

I love to just wander around and look. The Oasis really has some hidden treasures. Dinosaur is one of those hit and miss rides for me. Most times I get off ad am fine, others times I have problems.

This is Chewbacca or Chewie as we have been calling her for short. Not the best choice for a name as she is chewing things despite all the toys we got her.

She's a 2 month old Pug mix we adopted from a rescue last week.

Molly is adorable and Chewie does look like her as a pup. Chewie goes to the vet tomorrow for her next round of shots so I'm hoping they can give me an idea of what her father might be. She isn't fuzzy.

I love your pictures of the toparys at Epcot. I just did not feel I had the time there that I wanted. I felt rushed and did not get to take my time and look at all the topary's. I totally missed the butterfly garden altogether. That will be first on my list when we go back, I would like to go around the same time so we can catch both the flower fest and star wars weekend.
