Man banned from Disney World for life.

I have been following Adam the Woo for a long time now and I am not surprised this happened to him. As much as I love seeing backstage its one thing to go back there and then another to record it and put it on youtube. If you are doing something you know you should not be doing then why show the world you are doing it.
What happened?

the only interesting thing i could say is worth the risk (if you don't care to get caught) is to see the warehouses that store the costumes (especially the character costumes/heads) - even as an employee of Disney and going into the "regular" CM costume retrieval warehouse, we were never allowed into the ones that stored character costumes. once, a door was open, and i saw a row of Mickey heads hanging on a bar -- holiday Mickey heads! One had a santa hat on, and others that were "special", or decorated somehow for a holiday or party. was probably the coolest thing I saw backstage as a CM (except seeing Aurora crying in the employee bathroom down near the employee cafeteria, that was interesting. and the time Snow White was backstage immediately after coming back from meet&greet, saying "Sometimes these children make me so angry, I want to feed them to a pack of wolves!")

Sorry off topic!

It seems like now the guy will raise his game to sneaking into the park.

In a way they've kinda upped the ante and made things even more exciting for him.

Well, in banning him for life from Disney, he can't go near the place. If he goes near the place and they catch him, it won't be reminding him that he is banned, it'll be him in a shiny pair of linked bracelets and an appearance before a judge.

And he'll get a a therapist to say he has a compulsion, and Disney won't want the bad PR from a trial...

That's when the videos come back out and Disney will say "yeah, I don't think so.". This guy knew what he was doing, knew it was wrong, and got caught. If he tries to go back, Disney's legal team is surely up to the task of taking on whatever "excuse" he could possibly dish out.

Cinderella in her underware in the utilidoors on my way to the mousecateria was one of my favorites.

The rack of Mickey heads was something that I one caught a glimpse of. that was cool.

At first I thought this was the fella from Dark Side of Disney, but apparently he's still up to his old tricks and still going to the parks.

From what I understand, he can go near the place all he likes -- he's only forbidden to actually cross the property line. And he's not banned from Disney, just WDW. He's still allowed to visit Disneyland, and he happily goes there.

No, but I think he is friends with him and his group.

How would Disney enforce the ban from WDW? They don't exactly ask for ID when you buy a ticket.

This guy was banned from a Vegas casino buffet for life and apparently committed suicide because of it:

Las Vegas man ousted from casino, shoots self at buffet

There are always a multitude of outcomes a company must consider when making potentially large public decisions, many of which are totally unimaginable.

And people are responsible for thier own.actions

As sad as a death is, it's the person's responsibility, not company properly protecting it's property and possibly the safety of its patrons.

AKK

Your statement at the end is correct, but the story involved does not fit it at all. A company must make reasonable rules and enforce them and an community must make reasonable laws and enforce them. They should not take into account the vast and terrible actions people may take in response because they are either insane or evil. If a business must take into account anything and everything people might do, they could have no rules and make no decisions.

Agreed, I don't think I worded that as I intended it to mean. Substitute "is compelled" for "must" as in: "There are always a multitude of outcomes a company is compelled to consider when making potentially large public decisions, many of which are totally unimaginable."

Meaning as diligent as they may try to be, there are situations one can never imagine.

I don't feel sorry for Adam at all. He was breaking the rules and flaunting it by posting videos on YouTube. It's a good lesson for all young people that there are consequences for actions and what you post on the Internet can come back to bite you.

As for his punishment being to harsh because he loves Disney World. What a crock. If he loved Disney World as much as he says he would value the privilege of being there so much that he would follow the rules as to not risk being kicked out.

Gotcha. Now I understand. I agree 100%. While you cannot foresee everything, it is still sad when a decision results in sad actions by others.
