Official ( No Spoiler) Bachelorette Thread ~Kaitlyn Gets The Vote!

This is my first season watching The Bachelorette. I don't find Kaitlin to be sincere. If I were her, I'd a dropped Shawn this week. He is way too needy & possessive. Obviously the drama is all for ratings but geez who wants to be portrayed like that.

Don't get all the slut shaming being thrown at Kaitlyn. Double standard there... if she wants to hook up with any/all of these guys, she can, it's not unnatural... but she only slept with Nick so it's really not even a thing. My issue isn't that she slept with someone, it's that it was Nick, and he's just insufferable. Don't know how somoene could have interest in both Shawn and Nick, as they seem like polar opposites. I thought Ben Z would make it further. Don't like Ben H, he seems like a bible salesman. DW and I couldn't stop laughing at Jared as soon as he came on screen in the pilot. Just his whole look, his job... we thought he was a filler joke contestant like Shawn E, but he's still there and Kaitlyn seems into him and he seems to be the closest thing to normal left.

I know the producers can probably pull some nasty tricks, but how do some of these guys go down the way they do? Chris held it together and just seemed like a model contestant all season, and then he goes nuts on the way out. Kupah had a meltdown. The guy who was calling Kaitlyn shallow, etc. You go on these shows with 3 objectives: further your career, don't ruin your reputation, maybe meet someone? Crazy how many can't avoid making themselves look awful.

I don't care who she slept with, but to hear her say she feels guilty? C'mon-she's just sorry she might get "caught" by the other guys because she did it with Nick, but not them. She could care less about what she did as long as no one knows! And whenever I see her saying how Nick makes her feel "like a desirable woman" and then gets all gigly. How old is she? This is just all about fun, fun, fun for her.

I think she wants to try the guys on for sexual technique. She is in a situation that is very manufactured. I can't imagine what goes through someone's mind with that many choices in so little time. If she tried on one guy...I guess she should try on the rest. Idk.....what is the right thing in this situation?

Absolutely NO double standard here, at all.

IMHO, what she did, even with camera's rolling, in this situation with other guys involved.
Yes, I will openly call her by what she is, based on her behaviors.
(Not based on any prude beliefs or double standards)

Feel the same way whether it is a guy or a girl.
Just different slang names seem to apply to each gender.

I really don't care to follow all the details, or all the social media...
But, have wondered if she is being called Kaitlin Brist-Ho.
There seem to be nicknames for these Bachelor/Bachelorettes.
And, while I do hate to admit it, that one did come to mind.

I think at this point, she should just announce that she slept with Nick and then offer to sleep with the rest of the guys to put everyone on a level playing field again.

Poor guy. I thought he was going to fling himself off the cliff for a moment there.

A non-watcher asked "why the heck are they showing the boom?".
I said, "I think they're scared not to have someone close to him right now - quite possibly being off shot isn't exactly the biggest priority at this point".

I thought the same thing!
I'm not sure what that little girl in the parka was supposed to do.
Maybe try to restrain him as he pulls her over the edge.

From the previews, it looks like she fesses up next week? Or maybe they're just stringing us along.

He should be! Kaitlyn asked him a question, something like, "What do you see happening in our future?" And instead of answering her, he moved in to kiss her. I could see that she braced herself for that kiss. She REALLY, REALLY didn't want it.

I said "Ick!" And I think that's how SHE felt.

And when he kept kissing her and telling her he's falling in love with her, she should have stopped it right away, instead of letting him go on like that. She knew as soon as he leaned in that he's not the one.

So I don't know why she went on with the charade that she cares about him. Or that she wanted a hug and was hoping they could end things on a good note.

Anyway, so did Joe break the whole contact off with her, or did she boot him? Because it seemed to me that he started to shut her down, and then cussed at her - and then she went back and told the other guys that she sent him home before the rose ceremony.

It's interesting that Shaun uses the exact same terminology that Chris Harrison & Kaitlyn used in referring to her having sex, that Kaitlyn had "off camera time" with Nick.
