Who's excited about their WDW trip this year?? Tell me about it!!

Only 45 days until my next Disney trip (lost count to the number of times I've gone - at least once a year since park opened in 71). This time it's with my DD, DSIL, DGS (2yrs) and DGD (4 1/2 mo) Sept 18-Sept 21. As the GK are young we take a midday break back at the hotel (staying at SoG as DSIL is in the AF).

Fri. - lunch will be counter service in MK (DGS getting first haircut @ Harmony Barber Shop); dinner at Nine Dragons (Epcot)
Sat. - lunch at Via Napoli (Epcot) and dinner at Garden Grill (Epcot)
Sun. - lunch 50's Prime Time (DHS) and dinner in Tokyo (Epcot)
Mon. - breakfast at BOG.... then I head home (to SoFL) DD, DSIL, DGS & DGD staying longer before heading south.

I'm doing a ton of "firsts" on my upcoming trip! First time at CRT, first time ordering the Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream, first time my DH will be going to a Disney water park, first time going to Yak & Yeti (table service) restaurant, first time doing the Behind The Seeds tour, finally going to ride Ellen's Energy Adventure, and first time trying out the Drink Around The World showcase at Epcot. All of this on top of my usual level of excitement for a Disney trip has me literally about to burst. Feeling so blessed for how much fun lays ahead of us. :yay:

We leave in 50 long and painful days! :-) We will be celebrating our 2nd anniversary. It'll be our first time staying at Coronado Springs. For whatever reason, that resort never interested me before. Now I am super excited for it, though! We are also planning to celebrate visiting 8th Disney Parks in a year! We did DL and DCA in January and Tokyo DL and DisneySea in April so the WDW parks will be numbers 5-8. Kind of an arbitrary thing to celebrate...but it'll give us a good record to break in the next few years!

We may be going to disneyland next month, but its a big maybe. My husband may have a convention in Santa Barbara and if he goes, we will head to CA a few days early and hit up DLR and then the babies and I will fly back when the convention starts. Me and infant twins on a 5 hour flight should be a hoot! (kidding obviously). They fly pretty well actually and did great in Disney World in June, so I actually hope we can make that trip work.

Our next definite trip is December though. Five adults, a then 5 year old and 3 babies (11 months and two 10 month olds) will fly to florida together. Three of the adults and the two older kids will head to legoland for 4 days while my husband and I and our twins (10 months during the trip) will be an Beach club. Then the others meet us at WDW for 4 days. We have a Grand Villa at AKL. It is all of their first times (well my brother in law went as a child, but not in nearly 30 years). I have a very basic outline drawn up for us, but all I know is that my core family will be going to 2 or 3 christmas parties while we are there. I have Boma booked for the first night since we are staying there and Chef Mickey's the next day. My sister has given me total control over the plans which is great to a point, but I know they will get overwhelmed by our pace so I am trying to build in options for them. One night my family is heading to a christmas party, I told her she can join us or head back to the hotel and swim. Since it will sell out I suspect, she will have to decide soon. We are having up to her house in two weeks so I plan on sitting her down and getting some thoughts from her. lol. I haven't been to WDW with a group since the 90's so this may be an awesome trip or a disaster!

We just made our 180+ dining reservations for our Jan 31-Feb 8 visit. Our kids (8 and 4 at the time) have not been, and we've not been in 15+ years, so this is our big trip (who knows when/if it'll happen again). My kids are intrigued and my wife is looking forward to it. I'm the grinch trying to get in the mood :)
We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas via points we bought off a DVC member.

We rented points for our stay at AKL as well! Super great deal and I am so excited we can stay at a place we thought otherwise not in our price range. Hope you have a great time!:tink:

Victoria & Albert's Chef table (YUM AGAIN) Food & Wine Fest. Can you tell we're FOODIES? lol. EEEEEK! I even want to start packing! my husband and I are celebrating BOTH of our birthdays and a little belated 35th anniversary too!:bday::yay:. Hope to see some of you there!:-):-)

This will be my first time for the MNSSHP, AK, and Typhoon Lagoon. :beach:
My husband has never been to DW at all! He is a chef so I'm most excited for him to see Epcot and experience the Food & Wine Festival.

I did a similar trip last year, first time at MNSSHP, F&W.. We loved the non-summer so much we came back 2 months later to check out the december setup and plan to do spring next year for the flower/garden and first spring/bday trips. We commonly talk about what holidays we might want to be at WDW or WDL for now.

The Chef's Table at Victoria & Albert's is incredible. My husband and I were able to snag a reservation last September. It was easily one of the best experiences I've had at Disney, and I think we would both do it again in a heartbear. I hope you have a wonderful time!

We're doing V&A's too, first time. I'm so excited! It's just DH and I too on this trip and we're trying to do as much as possible as this may be our last WDW without mini-me's! Hope you both enjoy your trip!

Thank you very much for the well wishes....we've been the V & A Chef's table every time we've gone and NEVER once had a bad time! The head Somallier (SP) is AMAZING...we've had him every time we've gone too. it's just an experience you have to try..don't you think? we always make reservations ahead to the minute in fear of missing it. Thanks again!

We are going Sept. 12-18th. This is our first time staying at POR we have stayed twice at AofA. The boys still don't know and I am not sure when we let them know. I think of this trip as all the things we haven't done.
:MNSSHP
: Port Orleans Riverside
:CP reservation
:Memory Maker
And all the attractions we have not made it to in past years like The Great Movie Ride, It's a Bugs Life, Country Bear Jamboree, Big Thunder Mountain railroad, etc. Now that my youngest is tall enough there are so many rides he is going to love going on!

So excited to go back and to enjoy every moment.

Your vacation is next week!! So excited for you! Have a blast!!

We are going for our annual December trip --- December 18-23. We booked a bounce-back offer and we're staying at the Contemporary Resort!

The best part about this trip is that we invited another couple to come with us, so now we'll experience things with a larger group. It's their first time to Disney World so I'm super excited :D

Our Plans
  • December 18 - Check into the resort (~4pm since we're coming from Anaheim)
  • December 19 - EPCOT -- all day adventure, with Candlelight Processional. We're eat at Marrakesh.
  • December 20 - MK half-day. We're spending the other half at the Senses Spa. Dinner for Hubs and I is at California Grill.
  • December 21 - AK half-day morning. MK at night.
  • December 22 - Typhoon Lagoon Morning. EPCOT evening
  • December 23 - MK morning, afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian, then boarding the Magical Depress Bus back to the airport.

We're trying to do a mix of familiar and new things. Super excited to see what our bounce back offer will be. We're hoping for another room-only reservation since we have the Premier AP and don't need to buy tickets.
