Man, my mind went in a completely different direction. Having intolerant beliefs generally doesn't get characterized as "a disgusting human being" since that in itself is extremely intolerant.

If being disgusted by hate and using "religious beliefs" as an excuse for that hate is intolerant, then I guess I am proudly extremely intolerant!

So basically "tolerance" only needs to be exercised by people that don't share your beliefs. Seems like a pretty easy way out.

No. His views on "legitimate" rape and how all gay people are going to hell clinched it for me. In my world, that's a disgusting person. There is no such thing as legitimate rape, and gay people can't control who they are, Kirk Cameron can control who he is. That's the difference. In addition, if disliking all groups of people who think this way makes me intolerant, then so be it. I dislike all groups of child molesters too, as well as people who commit crimes against children. I'm super intolerant.
