I personally would love them to make another park entrance which goes straight into Star Wars land from the parking lot if it's going to span behind there.

A reason to add new things that folks are excited about is to increase attendance at a park and hopefully keep guests in the park spending money throughout. Offering a straight in and straight out would defeat the whole purpose. Marketing 101 is to get you to have to go past all the other items before getting to the one you came for.

While they will probably have to add more parking and may put in a new entrance off Victory Drive to the parking .... I would be very surprised if there were any consideration for a Star Wars entrance.

Yes...but why would they staff an unnecessary gate 500 feet away?

They don't like having employees...it's done strategically to "limit loses"

The park seams poorly laid out as is. Unsure if part of the expansion goals are to rectify some of that, but we can hope. I could see them pushing the entrance back a bit, but then you don't have the grand entrance up the main drag looking at the theatre. Then again maybe that is a (one of many) reason why they ditched the hat.

They are supposed to fix some of the layout. That seems evident in the permit for the firework infrastructure as it doesn't line up with the Chinese theater. That means they may be considering a new focal point for the park.

This is more wish casting than anything. If they are expanding DHS, and the park truly ends up with larger guest capacity, and hopefully greater attendance. It's the only park without some sort of attached lodging. Can't help but think the theoretical phase 3/4 might have something with beds involved. Whether it be a DVC, or a partnered property.

Rteetz(or anyone). Question: The map you posted earlier in this thread. There is infrastructure indicated in purple, with a section across from World dr from the park. Any indication of what that is? employee parking? Overflow parking. Actual structures?

If we're talking across that giant red area in the currently wooded section, doubtful - unless they are going to be bussing cast members over as they do with Magic Kingdom, which isn't likely as this is all onstage.

They'll likely end up parking at Epcot as they did during Star Wars Weekend.

If we're talking across that giant red area in the currently wooded section, doubtful - unless they are going to be bussing cast members over as they do with Magic Kingdom, which isn't likely as this is all onstage.

They'll likely end up parking at Epcot as they did during Star Wars Weekend.

They could build a pedestrian walkway across the road.

Just so i can get an idea. Whats the total size of Wizarding World of Harry Potter? I assume it's not going to be anywhere near as big as that?

All of the Harry Potter stuff combined is about 20 acres.

Ah ok, so star wars will still quite sizable then. So maybe if you put the 2 areas together and got rid of the train station that may equate to 14 acres?

There is a lot to work with.

That blue area is a big question mark...because I don't think that echo lake or the stunt show are in play as it stands...
The Lower entrance to the parking lot is gone...we can all pretty much bank that.

The purple and red areas are most intriguing...as they are the graveyard of the studios and continue to be just a lazy mothballing effort.

I've wondered about if they'd ever make something of that park since the first time I saw it - 1990...
...here's hoping nothing gets derailed or down scaled.

The backlot area is phase 3 from every indication I have seen.

Look it up dude, martin smith, like all the other presumed experts on wdwmagic, doesn't know anything, or won't admit to knowing anything, until "after it happens", because the guys on wdwmagic are more interested in page views and ad revenues than being helpful. That's why their forum is a free for all of cynical nonsense, they don't care what gets posted on their boards as long as they keep driving up page views

This map that I made is more up to date than the one you are so in love with, that one is from early august and it doesn't show the South wetlands area that is going to used to expand the south edge of the park, Look and see for yourself
