Does anyone know when a refurb is scheduled for yacht club guest rooms and how long will it take? TX
If you do decide to postpone your return by a day or two and want to keep costs down, Orbitz has the promo code "bestvacay" right now, which can be applied toward a Disney resort booking. Both BC and YC have Standard View rooms available. Just think, if you stay an extra day, you could see Teena, one last time, before you both depart WDW.
Flight cancelled. Van booked. DD12 just started singing "Jesus, Take the Wheel."
Shoreward - that's awesome. I'm hoping to sneak in a visit to see Teena on Sunday.
The majority of the standard view rooms are on the third and fourth floors facing the parking lot. I would request a room close to the elevator in your situation. It would also be central to the lobby, transportation and restaurants.Staying at Beach Club for a work conference next month. I'm bringing my 75 year old mom who has not been to Disney in decades. Any room request suggestions? (we are booked as standard view) Does the room have robes? Thanks!
That works. Thanks for the list.Let's see if this upload works - here is the DVC Grocery Order Form dated July 2015...

I think that Ninja Mom has some good advice.
Here is the weather advisory from JetBlue, with a link to change flights:

I was once at the BC, when my return flight was delayed a day, due to WX back home. I spoke with someone in the back office at the BC, and they extended my reservation, at the originally booked room rate.
Hope that everything works out well. I imagine the kids won't mind an extra day down there!

Does anyone know what kind of mattresses are on the sleeper sofas at Beach Club Villa? I want to get a sofa bed for a guest room and theirs was so comfortable!
Thank you! I thought the same thing when I saw the refurbished lounge photos. I figured they would start on the lounge floor and work their way down . Maybe they are waiting till all the work is done over on the BC side. I think I read that they are refurbishing the villas???? Either that or all the different resorts are melting into one in my mindWe were at BC last June and the rooms looked really nice there. Cant wait to see YC if and when they are done.to the thread.
No, we don't.
I had assumed that the refurb would be starting soon after the lounge was completed, but it doesn't appear that folks with YC club level reservations have been given notice about work going on.
One poster said last week that she thought the work wouldn't be started until August based on info from a friend of hers, but we have received no info or timeline from anyone at the resort or Disney.
Yes it works ! Thank you so muchLet's see if this upload works - here is the DVC Grocery Order Form dated July 2015...
Hello folks! I'm new to this thread and haven't read all of it, but hoping I am coming to the right group of experts!
We are staying at BCV May 14-18 (we have a triple split stay over SW Race Wknd - crazy!).
I am wondering how long it is to walk between BC and DHS?
And how long is the friendship boat ride? (I seem to remember this being a 30-40 min process but my memory is very foggy about this!)
Thanks! Feel free to point me to somewhere else!
