Alcohol in the Magic Kingdom

Actually Epoct is not even close to the Magic Kingdom. If you have been in Epcot during f and W and many ween end nights you would see the drunks and problems with the amount of alcohol .

I don't see any poems with the AK or HS.

However for all the resins I have mentioneded before there just is not need to have alcohol in the MK. There are a hundred other places to enjoy a drink. My wife and I do.

Keeping the MK specail andmagical as it is , not to mention WALT'S original wishes, areore then enough reasons to keep alcohol out of the M K.

Please if you need or want a frinks, go enjoy them outside the MK. We do as well.

Maybe people who would like a drink with their steak or pasta see a need for alcohol to be served. Alcohol is not a necessity, but then, it never is. I fail to see how it is offensive at one Disney park, but not the others.

We can go back and forth on this over and over, the MK is specail, there plainly is no reason or need for.alcohol in this one place in massive WDW.

If someone needs aDrink it's a 10 minute walk to CR and a few minutes longer to a dozen other bars and restaurants.

Is it so terrible to keep the MK specail? To respect Walt's wishs? To let family families come to just this 1 park and not have a alcohol around them and the little kids?...specially when 90% of the rest of WDW provides excellent drink sevice?

I enjoy a drink as well as anyone, but when I walk onto Mainstreet USA, the magic just sweeps me and my family into the pixie dust. It's just so specail.

Just keeping this one magical park so specail is not a big thing to ask.

Again, to you there may be no need. Others may feel differently. It is only our own opinion. I don't see how having alcohol around families is such an awful thing. If people have drinks in a restaurant in the Magic Kingdom it will in no way affect what happens when you walk down Main Street USA. It is not the lack of alcohol that makes MK special.

Well to many the lack of alcohol does make the MK more special. Especailly since Disney has proven they cannot control it at Epcot, especially on weekends and f and W.

So I pose my point again....Is it so bad to keep this 1 .magical park extra special for so.many? When others can have a drink in so many other places in WDW?....is it such a.big thing to ask?

Epcot is different. There people can buy alcohol at kiosks and walk around with it. Again, I don't see how not having alcohol makes a park somehow special. No one has suggested Food and Wine The Continuation at MK. Having a drink with dinner is very different than buying it at a kiosk and walking around with it, and very different from an event dedicated to drinking.

To many having a drink with dinner makes the meal more special.

On the flipside, one could say that Disney has proven they can control it very well, as evidenced by AK, DHS, and anytime at Epcot that isn't F&W or certain weekend nights.

Well the point is....they cannot.control it when chanelledged for those times (and you can add parts of DisneySprings.,Broardwalk, Etc) I don't think the risk to the MK is worth it.

Again is it asking so.much to.keep the MK so specail?....and keeping tje.alcohol out?

But...as many have pointed out...there IS alcohol at MK! Yes, it's only in one place, but it's there. Did MK become less special to you when beer and wine was added to BOG?

I must be missing something, I just don't see how MK is more magical because there is no alcohol.

How would you feel if alcohol was served with dinner at most table service restaurants in the Magic Kingdom (excluding Crystal Palace and CRT)?

I love a good glass of wine. that being said, i tend to NOT drink as much while at Disney since it is far easier to get dehydrated. I would be far less likely to order alcohol while in the parks, although I will indulge at Jiko, Sanaa and V&A.

even during Food and Wine we might only grab 2 tastings a day.

so how would I feel? indifferent. my habits would not change. of course MK is my least favorite park and we tend to not stay all day

It's there for.now yes and yes for.us and many other people as has been posted it did change in prospective, a.little of the specail magic was gone.

By not having the alcohol around.us and.others.made the MK just a.bit more.special.

Again I ask...is it.such a.big.deal.to.keep.the MK just a.little.bit more.specail?

Alcohol sales are down at BOG, and yet, still, MK has lost some of its magic?

is it asking so much to see THE OTHER POINT OF VIEW?! disagree all you want. but not everyone thinks the magic of MK will be ruined if they serve booze in a TS venue.

we used to think it would ruin society if *gasp* Negroes were allowed to sip at the same water fountains. we also used to think the world would end if smoking was banned from restaurants. old ways of thinking made way for new.

I guess because everyone's opinion of "special" is different.

Yes. It. Is. A. Big. Deal. Apparently. And to be honest I think it is more of a flaw in the people who find what others do at one restaurant affects them so much. Someone having a glass of wine with dinner affects you not one bit more than someone having dessert.

I have many times and have yet to see any falling down drunk or even close to that

But not everyone agrees that MK is more special because of limited alcohol. Most seem to think it doesn't make a difference, and obviously a few prefer alcohol in BOG. So to counter your question, is it such a big deal that the park does have alcohol?

That is what I would really like explained. How someone having a glass of wine with their meal affects someone walking up Main Street, which is the claim that was made.

Yes it does, becuase it is the MK , very specail.standing on its.own and.more.specail without the alcohol.

And that it's the ONLY place that would be without alcohol and it keeps it's specail magic for many many people that way that way.

I ask again...is it asking so.much to keep it ( return it to) being alcohol free for.all the many reasons listed before?

Please explain how someone having a drink with dinner affects you. And don't say because it is in the Magic Kingdom, because that is nonsense. How does it truly affect you?

It's not worth the risk of.losing all that specail magic. As noted before Disney had proven inany plaxes.they cannot control the heavy drinkers.
