\This is my first time cruising to Alaska and our second time on a disney cruise. this is my inlaws first time on Disney and we're sooooo excited!!!!

Welcome! I'll add you to the FE list. I keep watching the dollar too, it really hurts to think of the exchange

Unfortunately hubby and I have decided to put off our Alaskan cruise at least a year due to the poor dollar. I'm so bummed! Hope you all have a great cruise - we're hoping to head to Disneyland for a couple days instead for our first anniversary.

I know how you feel! Usually we take more frequent vacations but this one is it for us for at least 2 years…

Hmm, anyone considering a back to back? :sunny: There's a 4 night cruise from Vancouver to San Diego right after ours!

Wouldn't that be wonderful! Our family actually crunched the numbers but it was going to turn into too many days off of work... As is we are planning on taking Friday 8/12 through Tuesday 8/23 off. Besides if we ended in in San Diego we would need to stay longer to enjoy Disney Land :rolleyes1

Hello all. Sorry I am just getting around to posting here. My wife, daugher (8), and I have had this trip booked since the day the itinerary became available. We will be traveling with my both my parents (who have their own stateroom) as well. We are all very much looking forward to this once in a lifetime trip!

We can't wait to get to know everyone a bit more before the cruise get here - which can't come soon enough!

It sucks I know, that's why we had to pull out of this cruise as well :( but we're hoping to do Alaska in 2018 (probably not 2017 since we switched this cruise to a Bahamas Jan 2017 cruise). More incentive to make a placeholder though on that cruise ;-)

We would like to join up with y'all. This is our first Disney cruise. I will be traveling with my daughter (age 5) and my mother - turning 84 on the trip. The FE concept sounds like a lot of fun. We are flying in from the DC area a couple of days early to visit Vancouver and haven't made any excursion plans yet. The suggestions on the list sound great.

For those who have done this trip before I would like advice on the mobility requirements for the excursions. My mother loves wolves, bears and whales so the nature trips are of high interest but she isn't the most mobile person ( sometimes needs a cane and tires easily). Any thoughts or advice?

Let's use this thread to discuss our amazing trip of a lifetime, join FE groups if desired, and share our excitement as the date grows nearer :flower1:

hi Tiffany -
I don't know if the new posts pop up for you but my family would like to FE for the August 16 cruise. Granny, Mom and 7 year old girl.

Thanks!

Welcome! I've added you to the FE list :)

We're actually heading to Vancouver for a few days to check it out during our Spring Break (it's only a 4 hour drive for us). We've never been there but want to know where we're going when we get to port! Let me know if there is anything we can find out for you...

Hi there! My Husband and I from Southern California, Disneyland Annual Passholders and love all things Disney. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo This will be our first time on a cruise, let alone a Disney Cruise. DH doesn't know yet. He has always wanted to go to Alaska and I decided to book this trip as a surprise for his upcoming 40th Birthday... DH surprised me with a trip to Hawaii and we stayed at Aulani for mine. I'm usually a lurker on discussion boards, but I joined to gather more information and to ask occasional questions/get advice from the "Disney Cruise Pros" around here. We will be staying in Stateroom 6134. Please add us to the Fish Extender list. Can't wait to sail! :boat:

Once you have a certain number of posts on the board (I think it's 10), you'll be able to PM (also called a conversation). I won't be putting groups together until after the PIF date, so hopefully we'll be able to message by then. I'll add you to the list now though :)

Welcome! I'll add you to the FE list. We're hoping to head to DL for the first time next year, we recently moved to the West Coast so DW was the easier park for us before that!

Hi there. I'm late to join, although we did book this cruise way back on Opening Day. With the Canadian dollar collapse, we had been rethinking what to do, whether to still go... and we've decided we're still going! We did change rooms from a Verandah to and Oceanview, which will save us enough money to make up for the poor exchange rate. (My MIL and FIL however decided to cancel)
It is myself, DH, DS age 6, and DS age 4, travelling from Toronto. Also joining us will be my BIL, his significant other, and his 2 kids aged 10 and 11, travelling from the Boston area.
we are not going to do the FE. Just wanted to say hi.

Thanks! Perhaps we'll get a chance to meet up during the cruise and when you make it out to DLR. Hope to meet others who will be joining us on this trip also. :)

Welcome! We moved from Guelph, ON to BC last year, so I know where you're from :)

The dollar is killing us too, when we booked this cruise it was so minimal we didn't even think about it, but now! We even explained it to the kids that we could go to Disneyland twice for the same cost, but everyone voted to keep the cruise. The last time we spent that kind of money on a vacation was for 6 weeks in the UK

So, Where are we at with our FE? I know we can't do external links anymore so I"m not sure how we all get the details on who we are giving to anymore. Just keep me posted! Now that PIF is coming up, the cruise is starting to feel "real"!!
