Official Wine and Dine 2016 thread

Decides to run at the gym today because the weatherman couldn't say whether it would rain or not, thanks seattle. Ran 4 miles in a steady rain last week and am not in the mood this week. Realized on the way here I forgot my fuel, got here and oh no ipod it's with my outside run stuff, its Florida warm and muggy in the gym cause the workers get cold, but I will do 6 miles. Surfing the dis on my walk intervals to pass the time faster

I saw an ad in us weekly yesterday, propel by Gatorade has a flavorless electrolyte water. I'm excited to find it and try tin

4 miles to go :rotfl:

Yes! I was able to find the Propel water at my local Weis supermarket up here in PA. It's awesome. I'm trying to find it and hoard it! I don't normally consume much with sugar unless it's already really naturally in it like fruits vegetables etc. and I've noticed that if I drink regular Gatorade or Powerade I feel dreadful afterwards when I'm running. G2 is a bit better, but the Propel flavorless I love!!

Now I'm just hoping I can find it when I get back to Florida.

Awesome! That's great to know. I forgot to look when I was at Target the other day, I'll have to go today after the gym, as soon as I get moving. Almost 9, time to get going.

I switched to Propel years ago.. I use the powdered sticks more than the bottled version but it's easily available around me in central Florida..

Working on my itinerary for race weekend. There are so many new things that should be open by then that were not ready in April.

Wednesday - afternoon arrival - DHS evening for SW fireworks

Thursday - Expo early for opening - I don't want to miss out on any Lumiere themed merch!
Thursday evening - AK - night safari, Nomad Lounge, and Rivers of Light

Friday morning - EP - Soarin and new Frozen ride
Friday afternoon - Disney Springs for a little shopping and dinner (not sure where yet) early to bed

Saturday morning - 10K
Saturday afternoon - MK then early to bed

Sunday morning - Half then nap
Sunday night - EP for party

Monday morning departure

I'm pretty sure that I am going to be solo for this whole weekend so although I have a lot planned I should be able to get plenty of rest too.

Anyone booked flights yet? I got a great deal for me on American, but the flights I'm looking at for my husband are SO expensive. I guess him flying back on Sunday vs. me flying back on Monday makes a big difference...like, a $200 difference. :headache:

Yikes! I booked with SW. I'm pretty happy with the rates. Flying down Wed and back Monday. I'm a bit worried that some member of my family is going to decide to go last minute and that the flights will be crazy then!

I'm happy with what I got from American (though I guess I should add bag check fees to get a *real* comparison), but my husband flying back on Sunday is making stuff skyrocket!! :( That's going to eat (pun!) into our Food & Wine fund.

That is exactly what I am worried about. I'm a little on the fence about going solo for the weekend, but I have been trying to talk him out of the idea of going. I'm going to be up crazy early both days on the weekend which really cuts into spending time with him anyway.

Don't they say to wait to book flights...like 6 weeks out? Maybe we'll get lucky...??

I'm such an OCD planner, I hate waiting.

It seems that either if you book really early or book really close to the date you get good rates. That's not always the case but it tends to happen.

I have price alerts set but haven't booked yet. Prices are just way too high for me right now. But I figure there's plenty of time so I'm not too worried.

I need to adopt this attitude. I get anxious because I want specific times or whatever - I'm sure if I waited I'd get a better fare. :confused3

I'm pretty specific about times, which is why I'm willing to wait. I hate going late at night and leaving early when I'm staying at a hotel because I feel like I'm wasting money just sleeping. So if it's going to cost me $30 more to fly in early, that's still saving me $100ish from flying in the night before.

But trust me - I'll start freaking out at some point! And start yelling at my computer/American for not dropping prices. Well, I did that already when I saw that there were no direct flights I could book with miles. Jerks!! >:(

Yeah, seriously - where have all the direct flights gone?! The only airline I can see where I could fly direct to Orlando is United, and they have 1 option each day. :(

That's so annoying. There are a lot of direct flights here (I'm flying from Philly), but I have a ton of American miles and no direct flights to use them on! :guilty:

I've got both our flight legs booked through Southwest. We don't get direct and I prefer going through St. Louis instead of Chicago so booked to make sure I get the times & connecting city I want. The price going out went down after I booked so I had a credit to use so it made the return trip not bad. We're going Tue-Wed which are usually the better priced dates anyway.

And 5 months till we fly out so yay! Hope everyone's training is going good, I love summer running (in Nebraska).

I'm an early booker as in the date Alaska and delta put the flights up I got them. Delta had added nonstops from Seattle, booked one, now I change in ATL not my favorite but they got rid of the ns. Also got the ns on Alaska back and it went up shortly after I booked because of people booking. I'm used to getting flights early when I fly across country on smaller served ns routes. If I fly to CA I don't worry as much.

I haven't booked flights yet. I checked Southwest, but I have to travel over an hour to an airport that Southwest serves, and surprisingly the price is about the same from a smaller airport as it is from Baltimore or Philly. So I might as well travel half an hour vice 2ish. Oh how I miss living realistically near a major airport.
