Amazon Prime Now

Reporting back, we placed an order Wednesday night around 6, it was not delivered until 9. Almost 9:45 by the time bell services got it to us. The selection was ok, but pricing was wonky. We ordered 2 types of pop tarts, for example. One was $2.50, the other $3.75. If they have what you want, the service is great. If you're going to order, do so early and select your delivery time. I wish I had known this, so I could have scheduled for after I arrived.

Thank you for your feedback. Is it clear at checkout how to choose a time frame? I've browsed the products and have decided it is sufficient for our needs but have not gone through the placing of an order. I plan to order from the airport in Philadelphia while waiting for our flight.

Yes, you choose a 2 hour time frame. I ordered at 6pm and could have chosen 8-10pm or 8-10 am the next day

FYI, that the address took a few tries to validate for me. I ended up having to use Bay Lake as the city, versus Lake Buena Vista.

Prime Now delivers within specific time blocks. If you ordered at around 6pm, your 9ish delivery time was 100% accurate and what I would expect. Here's the delivery schedule:

8-10am ~ order by 7:45am
10-12pm ~ order by 9:45am
12-2pm ~ order by 11:45am
2-4pm ~ order by 1:45pm
4-6pm ~ order by 2:45pm
6-8pm ~ order by 5:45pm
8-10pm ~ order by 7:45pm
10pm-12am ~ order by 9:45pm

Instead of 15 minutes, I would do 20 just to be safe. I've gotten held up at checkout once because I was adding a new payment method. This caused me to miss my delivery window. I hope this helps with planning.

If delivering at BWV, do they deliver to front desk, bell services, or convention center? What about OKW, is it to the front desk or your building?

Same question for BCV - Convention center or front desk?

Since Prime Now packages are hand delivered, you give instructions to the driver. You can meet them out front and pick it up yourself, or instruct them to leave with bell services. I doubt seriously any driver will walk in to the resort to drop at the front desk. More likely Bell Services since they will take a package from the drive-up/portico entrance.

OOOOOOH, I want to try this. We live in a rural area at home, so no experience with it yet. My concern is that we're at Tree House Villas for our next trip. If I have to get into the van and drive out of the tree house area to the main SSR area and pick it up at Carriage House, then I might as well just go to the grocery store myself. The more spread out resorts may not be as good a deal as compact resorts. Now, if the driver will come to the tree house for a large enough tip; we can work something out...
Has anyone ordered Garden Grocer or Amazon from the Tree House Villas or other resort (Fort Wilderness) where you don't go near the "check-in" area except when you actually checked-in?

That isn't always the case. IT is quite possible to get 1 hour delivery or schedule a later delivery time even early in the morning. It is also possible to log in at 1 and not see any availability until 8-10. IT all depends on how many delivery workers they have that day.

Yes, you can change your delivery window to a later time OR order in advance. One hour delivery is $7.99. I've ordered using Prime Now AT LEAST 2x per week since the service launched,,and I've never had any issues with delivery times. I am in love with Prime Now. Their customer service is Grade A, and the delivery drivers are always on time and courteous.

I was just clarifying that their times aren't guaranteed. It is still new to Orlando and I see you are in Houston but I use it almost daily in NYC and it isn't uncommon here to log in at 1 pm and not see 1 hour available and windows aren't open until 6pm or later. When it first launched in NYC you almost always got less than 1 hour delivery paid or not and then slowly it has been harder and harder to get a delivery time if you log in after 5pm. Same with instacart and other "same day" delivery services.

Oh wow. How disappointing! I used it in New York quite a bit with no issues. I think I would probably call customer service and complain

We did when it first started. They said they can't keep up with the demand. So slots are filled first come first serve style.

That's an awesome idea. I use two day shipping at home all the time but have not used Prime Now. I would like to see if it works at the resorts as well.

I actually work as an Independent Contractor for Amazon Flex and I deliver both one hour and two hour deliveries for Amazon Prime Now.

I am not soliciting business here but I wanted to provide answers to your questions.

There are tens of thousands of items you are able to order and the selection changes daily. Many of the prices are better than you are able to find at the local big box stores. Deliveries are made to the Front Desk and cold purchases are stored for you. You are able to order in advance and set up a two hour window for delivery to your Resort. Also you would use the physical address for the Resort. There is a separate Amazon Prime Now app you download or you may also use the website and place your order that way. Delivery drivers are not allowed to take cash tips and you are able to adjust the tip amount up to 48 hours after delivery. I personally worked at WDW for over 18 years and love that I'm able to still deliver Smiles every day to Amazon Prime Customers!

I placed an order today and received a text at 8:30 pm that my order had been delivered. I put a note to leave with bell services at ASMovies. When we returned at 9:30 pm, bell services could not locate our delivery. I called the "contact us" number at Amazon and they are trying to figure out where the delivery went instead. That's been ongoing for 30 minutes. Do you have any advice for me at this point to help locate my delivery? I am NOT happy with this service at this time.

Did they find your order? I wonder if it got delivered to ASMusic or ASSports???

What address did you put in? Perhaps they left it at one of the All Stars?

That's what I wondered too. I gave up to go to bed at 11:30 pm and asked for bell services to leave me a voicemail when they either found the order or were sure it was not here. At 2 am a message was left saying the order was found. When I went to get it at 7 am, it was a new shift so the CM didn't know the back story of whether it was Disney's mistake or delivery to the wrong All Star. I had put both "All Star Movies" and the address on the order so it should have been clear. The Amazon rep on customer service saw that as well.

I was happy that the delivery person even had the name of the person at bell services who took the order. I'm sure that helped Disneu to find the order. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Disney mistake because after walking up to get the order this morning in the pouring rain (wasn't trusting delivery at that point), after asking that they gave us everything, we got back to the room and had no refrigerated items. So back to bell services.

So in the end, it all worked out okay but I lost 2 hours of sleep over it. Amazon did give us a $10 account credit as well.

I don't get why it took Disney so long. You would think they could have simply called the other All Stars and had someone check instead. Do you know where it was found or just that it was found and brought to the right resort?
