Confirmed MSEP to stop and move to DL Oct. 9th

So confirmed nighttime entertainment for our October trip:
CtM/Wishes
Fantasmic
Illuminations

Probable - Star Wars Fireworks/Show (they don't have this yet included in October entertainment schedule)

Who the heck knows - Rivers of Light



It would just make too much sense for them to be prepared to answer what/if something is replacing MSEP when they make the announcement it is leaving...

Ok, so does ''limited time'' truly means limited time? That sounds to me like they pretend to make PTN a seasonal parade at DL.

It's strange that they are being so vague about the plans they have for this parade. I'm starting to consider seriously the possibility of PTN going to Paris for the 25th anniversary.

There are some rumors flying around that PTN is going to Tokyo and WDW is getting DreamLigts, but like others have said I just can't see TDL giving up DreamLights. They love it and no one would take care of it the way they do.

I've always loved the night parades (MSEP and Spectro) at MK. I prefer then to Fantasmic, IllumiNations and even World of Colour and Galactic Spectacular.

Ironically, my trip last week is the only time in 13 trips that I missed out on seeing it.

I really hope MK does get a replacement night parade (sooner rather than later). Apologies in advance for the cliche, but without one, a bit of the "magic" will be lost for me.

I too love Disney parades and wouldn't be the same to me without one. Fireworks, Fantasmic , etc are all things our family usually skip. I feel fortunate that I still have a chance to catch MSEP one more time next month. It's my favorite parade for nostalgic reasons.

Im still on the fence of doing this or not. When the rumors started flying I was able to get a better time for the Tony package that I was hoping for, so glad I was able to get that...if I use it at all.

I don't know if they have made up their mind with what to do with PTN.

Only one person said that. Photodave on wdwmagic said he heard that two months ago but I can't imagine Tokyo giving that parade up. Dreamlights is longer and bigger than PTN.

I agree - I don't see TDL giving it up. This just screams cheap budget cut. TDO probably convinced TDA to pay to send the parade back. I saw on WDWMagic one poster said he was told they're going to run Boo To You/Christmas Parade nightly until the beginning of the year but as that's a draw for the parties, I can't see them giving up that exclusivity.

Don't count on PTN coming to WDW. You likely wouldn't be seeing it even if your trip was a month or two later. It's staying in DL at least through the end of 2016 based on what is being said. Of course, that could all change again.

Yeah, I agree with you. Tokyo updates DreamLights too frequently to give it up just like that. If they wanted a new parade they would simply get one of their own. I doubt Tokyo likes second-hand stuff.

Disney's going to be pissing off one park, no matter what decision they make. Really is going to depend on which group will raise the most hellfire.

The good thing is Toyo doesn't have to do what Disney says they can do what they want.

You know what's REALLY going to suck? When DL gives MSEP the DreamLights treatment and it's the best thing this side of TDL and we're stuck with a few CM's running down main street at night selling glow bracelets to music as the "parade." Part of me feels like DL has BIG plans for MSEP. Why would they agree to take it back if they didn't? A rehab for a final limited time run just doesn't make financial sense, especially with the way the company is being run these days.
