It's really not difficult to "force" guests to move along. Just put a Cast Member at the back of the group and introduce the suggestion that there is a threat coming. That and lighting would keep anyone from becoming a straggler.

If you're unfamiliar, the Borg Invasion attraction at "Star Trek: The Experience" in Las Vegas had this exact scenario. It seemed to work well for them.
 
Ok. Hurricane sucks.

On a lighter note the past two days the changes seem to have settled. Trash is back to relative normal. Party was good. Muppets are absolutely one of the best additions to have been done in years (surprised to say that but true). Amazing how Kermit and Miss Piggy get massive applause and yet as a franchise the muppets just can't seem to stick..

I hate to be *that guy*, but can someone let me know if there are any dates listed in the article? Sites blocked on work network. As long as it closes after June 27th, 2017 I don't care. I really don't want to have to figure out a new location for our wedding reception. This location allows us to not pay for transportation as we can walk right from Sea Breeze Point to Atlantic Dance Hall. Also, my grandfather is a HUGE jazz/big band fan (he played jazz accordion for many years) and we were very excited for him to experience this venue.

The article does say that the contract is up "this coming year" which implies that the contract isn't up until sometime in 2017. It also only says that the contract is up and won't be renewed - it is only hypothesizing that if the contract isn't renewed that that means ADH will close - there is no definitives in the article at all.

If you have an event BOOKED (which it sounds like you do) at Atlantic Dance Hall - I am sure Disney will honor that event.
 
I had never heard that ADH was connected with swan and dolphin since it was built as part of the boardwalk resort area several years after swan and dolphin was finished. I do know that it's run by a third party that also runs jelly rolls. It could be that the contract is up and the managment has decided it's not worth either a rent increase or the demands that disney is making. and House of blues isnt the only restaurant thinking of leaving. Disney is making demands on bongos and wolfgang pucks on updating kitchens and changing to fit the new theme and rumor is both of those restaurants will be closing. Not much of a loss considering all the new ones. and house of blues might not like the competition

It's not so much about them honoring the event as an event (which I mean...we are paying for a wedding reception so we are obviously going to get one) it's more about the location. I do know that there was verbiage stating that no location is guaranteed. I'm just hoping if this place is to close it's after our wedding reception. I believe the backup would be just one of the Convention Rooms in Boardwalk, which would kind of suck. Atlantic Dance Hall is already kind of dressed up (saving us money on decorations), but we will see what happens.

I hope you're referring to just the regular restaurant and not the Express location. We love the Express for a good, somewhat healthy and reasonably priced meal. Our trips aren't complete without a visit to the one in the marketplace.

Yes this would be the table service location not express.
