Is anyone else crazy and love it?

We are going on our trip in 51 weeks and I am already playing and planning. I LOVE excel, so I have a multi-tab spread sheet going. This includes budgets, QS locations/avoid, my gift card earning plan, everything.

I also have an awesome color-coded spread sheet going that is making me super happy.

I know things are going to change, especially with Avatar opening, but I love it! I am especially excited because this is going to be a more relaxed trip, without my in-laws or too many ADRs (They liked to sit-down almost every meal, I am limiting to a few faves).

So EXCITING!!!

What is your question? Your color coded spreadsheet- no I have my own.
Planning our WDW vacations. Yes that is why we are all here.

My question is the title.... "Is anyone else crazy and love it?". Sorry if my post annoyed you.

It happens on here...LOL

Yes i think we all are a little crazy with our Disney trips. I too use a spreadsheet but no colors...I may have to update mine. :D:D

My boss insists on colors in every spread sheet (we are librarians, so not totally business-professional), so now I am in the habit. It makes things more fun!

Oh I have never done a spreadsheet..I am old school pen to paper. I know you must be very excited!! I don't plan that far out though because Disney changes park hours and emh so much. HAVE FUN PLANNING!!! We all love Disney and are crazy about it or we wouldn't be here...so yes we all love planning...... so do it the way you want and what makes you happy. :)

OMG, no. Glad it's exciting for you (not being sarcastic), a lot of people here like to plan similar to this. But for me, that would make it feel like a business trip/convention, not vacation.

Did my FP's this morning so my spreadsheet needs an update when I get to work tomorrow. I'll have to refresh the look it has. I just list mine to include where we are going, park hours, FP times and ADR's with confirmation numbers. I don't go quite as far as to break down the day ay further.

Well that just made my head hurt. I'm a bookkeeper so spreadsheets are my business, I don't plan on vacation. Sounds like you are having fun though and that's all that matters.

This is actually a step down for me. I am trying very hard not to make touring plans at all. I do feel like I need some sort of plan, but I will also be willing to toss any plans away if it make the kids happy.

Awesome spreadsheet! I have an old fashioned note book. By the time our vacation begins, I have rewritten our plans so many times that I actually have our entire agenda memorized.
"We're all mad here", said the Cat.
" How do you know I'm mad?", said Alice.
" You must be", said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come
here". ;)
Happy planning!

I love your spreadsheet! It will be nice to show my husband that I'm not the only crazy one out there ;). Our trip is in June 2018 and we are going for 11 nights. My mom asked me the other day if I had graphed some information yet and I said no, but that's a great idea.

What I have learned is that I plan certain blocks of time and leave other blocks open to do whatever comes up - I have 3 kids and have learned to try to let somethings go when they don't go according to my plans, otherwise I will be stressing all the time. I plan on scheduling only about 6 ADR and letting each of my 3 kids plan a day (of course with my guidance and some input).

Love the spreadsheet but I use them so much at work that I can't seem to get myself to that level of planning for my WDW trips. :) I have tried but it just reminds me so much of work. But I applaud anyone who is so organized and resourceful with their palnning.

I use a trusty old fashioned notebook to plan. It is less stressful for me. I go in October and already have about 6 pages full of ideas for dining, extras, etc. Heck I am even thinking about my 2018 trip and have started preliminary entries in my notebook for that. :)

Have fun planning!! It is one of my most favorite parts of any vacation. my family calls me the "planner".

And yes I am little, as I like to call it (instead of crazy) mad!! And I love it!!
