Here is the one I found and am thinking of buying for him. We will have a stroller but when he is not in it is what I am worried about. He now likes to think he is independent and do what he wants.
If he is very independent I say go for it. In a previous life I HATED leases and swore I'd never use one. With kid one, that was fine.... then along came kid 2 who could climb up a full set of stairs at 6 mo old and as soon as you looked away for a second would be climbing on something she wasn't supposed to. Needless to say for her I gave in and tried the leash when we went to crowded, busy places and never regretted it. We always kept a very close eye on her but it was still worthwhile to have.

Need advice. We have a ressie with our Disney TA right now for POR for November. We know adjustments will need to be made. If mods get qs, then we really want a standard room at AKL or WL. I am hearing this will be tough to get. Our TA said he will be active at 7:00. Should I try at 4:00 to get that ressie and then cancel it needed. Really want to end up at AKL!! Help!!

Is standard at AKL going to be hard to get? That's what I have booked right now for September. Now I'm nervous! Not like I wasn't before :scared:

I've known many that have used them. Great for the littles that want to be independent and not held, and great for your back so that you don't have to walk bent over holding his hand. And, the Mickey is adorable. More likely that he'll like it.

Well deserved! I don't think anyone sane would begrudge your discount.

Can I ask if it's a discount on any resort of if it at the dedicated Military one (name is something Green from memory)?

Disney gives us a room discount on any resort, but like free dining, there are a limited number allocated at each. Then there are the Salute Tickets that run from year-to-year. Just like free dining, these discounts could go away at anytime, so we're taking advantage while we can.

The Green thing you're thinking of is Shades of Green which is the dedicated resort. They do have some great deals, prices there are in the same range as Mods (depending on rank in the service), but are bigger than Deluxe rooms. There are some drawbacks: FP+ is 30 days, no MDE, you have to pay to park both at the resort and in the parks. There is a shuttle to the parks, but I'm not sure it's as easy and as good as Disney's park transportation. If the room discounts at Disney resorts go away, we will definitely be looking here, though.

May I ask which section you were placed in? I have heard that Jazz became preferred last year. Jazz used to be a reasonable walk to the main bldg/bus. What section or bldg would you recommend?
We were in a Standard Room in the Rock and Roll section. It was a bit of walk from the bus stop/main building, but we didn't mind it so much. We enjoy walking. I thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas music that was piped all around the resort. Made the walk so much fun!

Not sure what I'd recommend. It all depends on what your preferences are. We also didn't mind being "in the back" because it meant it was a little quieter. We'll always choose quiet over being close to the food court. But then, we don't have children to worry about. :)

Has anyone gone the weekend and week leading up to Thanksgiving? (Thursday week before/ leave the day before). We are booked 11/16-11/22. I was trying to get an idea of what crowds may be like.

These are the dates we are looking at this year. Last year was our first WDW trip and we did 12/17-23. I didn't think the crowds were too bad. Started picking up towards the end of the trip. I expect this November trip to be similar. But, warmer weather.

We have only been once before. Two years ago, but January- MLK weekend. I'm trying to find out how much busier it would be this time in November compared to how it was in January.

Stroller Question:
DD 4. DS turns 7 there.
Does anyone know of a good lightweight double stroller with a high weight capacity. We don't even own one now, but I know we will need one. I figured if I have to push something, it might as well be one that can hold all of our stuff (not sure the park ones have an storage) DD son will probably be the one that wants a break more even though he is older. I know they are to old in normal circumstances, but I am really worried about the amount of walking, and crankiness= no fun.

Alright I wasn't on today and ain't nobody got time to read through the 1398420938 pages that got racked up... any new intel since black's original info last week about the 24th? Are we confirmed that mods get QS?

Hang on to your seat. Somebody (RonDisney?) stopped in this morning and said FD would be dropping on the 24th, values and mods were definitely getting QS, POR was definitely being included but didn't know for how much of it, and - here's the big bombshell - PH and/or PH+ might not be required. He didn't have any dates or what resorts would or wouldn't be included other than POR. He said more info would be coming but we haven't heard from him since. Dirty Steve is being disturbingly quiet about the whole thing.
