So if I end up booking FD and then discussing it with my sister later in the day and we decide not to go how long does the $200 deposit refund take?

You could always book it with the 3 day hold instead of putting your deposit down. Then you can discuss & apply your deposit after you are sure.

13 hours to go, and I'm nervous. My TA will be waking at 4:30. She knows my plan A and plan B. So I'll be waking at 4:30 and going for my plan B, then plan C(just gotta figure out what my plan c is...)

So, with that being said, Plan A and Plan B are for the second part of our split stay to be a beach club. Plan C will likely put the second part of our split stay at either Saratoga Springs or BWV? Any opinions?

Lurking for years but first time posting -- how does everyone feel about modifying a CBR res with GC online? (Sorry if this has already been covered, this thread is hard to keep up with.) Don't to wait til the phones open but don't want to risk losing the GC if CBR rooms are available either. Should I just book a new res and call later to have it switched to my original reservation or do you think I'll be able to modify my res to the free dining offer?

I also have a reservation at CBR with the GC. I'm going to attempt to modify/change my reservation online first. It sounds like if you do that, you won't lose the GC.

Can you combine QS credits to equal a TS credit? We aren't big lunch eaters so we usually just snack or split lunch. Also, we get yogurt and granola bars delivered to the room for breakfast from amazon. I was thinking we could do table service dinners each night with the quick service dinning plan.

I tried to modify my reservation yesterday to add PH. in order to make the change, I had to "check out" i.e. purchase the items in my cart for the balance of what I owe for the package. The prompt said my credit card would be charged for the full amount. I am not prepared for that yet. I'm concerned that when I go to modify for free dining online, I will get the same prompt and be expected to PIF.

And I think my numbers finally take me out of the FD hunt. I am coming up $1600 to $2200 ahead without all the extras I'd need for FD so it's definitely RO for our trip. Good luck to all!

All the built up anticipation and not much longer to wait. My TA has all our information and knows what she can adjust on our reservation. I know I have seen conflicting reports about FD starting on either August 13th or 21st. We check in on the 19th but do have a Disney Visa so if the DV gets the earlier start date then that is fine. If not then we will stick with the Summer Savory offer we have now. I checked what it would cost to do a RO ressie for the first two days and then FD for the rest of the week and that did not work for us.
I have been crunching numbers for a while and several times almost e-mailed our TA and told her don't worry about FD because with the heat and humidity of August I was not sure how much we would really want to eat and figured the one QS a day would be used for dinner and just snack oop around lunchtime, or we could bring our own snacks or light lunch with us, but then I thought again and figured if we could get FD then we did not have to worry about paying for food no matter we wanted. I finally decided to stop driving myself crazy and decided if we get FD great if we don't that is fine too.
It is all in the TA's hands now, so while I will not be up at 4AM I will be checking my e-mail constantly to see what the final outcome was.

That's my plan as well. I've spoken to a lot of CMs over the past few weeks and surprisingly, I kept getting the same answers. THey all say that you can change anything except the resort without losing the gift card. If your reservation number changes, you will lose it. I'm not 100% on the date change because I'm not sure if the reservation number would change or not.

So as so many people are saying POP sells out fast for FD, and there's more availability at the All Stars, I am checking out reviews for All Star Sports. Looking at pics people have posted, I see there is Mello Yello at the food court soda dispenser. Is it wrong to actually be excited about that? I think maybe I'm a weirdo. LOL.

I'm with you but it doesn't bother me much. For us it's a difference of 300 for a trip that's 4500. If we get it we're saving 970 if we don't we're still saving 675. So really nbd

No, last year you could book at the same time as GP but we had more available dates. They sent me an email 4pm EST. Ugh little late Disney

Lol. We stayed at Pop 2 years ago and Sports last year. We liked them both. Sports seemed more cramped at Dining, but nothing major. I was nervous about Sports, but it was good! We were in the basketball section, quiet and close
