For all of you worried that Happily Ever After won't be a good replacement for Wishes

I watched the Disney blog stream and as a long time Wishes fan, I got to say this is a worthy successor to the throne. I think the projection is a worthwhile addition and the fireworks were just as good as Wishes. I do think that Wishes has a bit more of a cohesive theme which I liked more but this show incorporates a lot more characters and is longer (I think?).

Overall, it's an amazing show. Looking forward to seeing it in person soon!

This was our first Disney trip. We didn't have the emotional ties to wishes. We saw wishes Tuesday. And the new show tonight (our last night). It far exceeded wishes to us. It was amazing. Seriously. Wait until you see it in person to judge too much. There is so much going on that you can't even get it all in.

That is a good point and perspective. What is lacking is that many have an emotional connection to Wishes that those who haven't observed it during past trips can't appreciate.

I think wishes meant something because it was tied to your own memories somehow. Watching my six year old watch this show... I can't even explain. This will be a core (hah) memory for her. She will get the connection there. Give it time. We watched with a group of die hard wishes fans. They all said if they took away the emotional attachment this was better. We all got teared up. We clapped and screamed. There were so many fireworks. It was all a lot to take in. But we really enjoyed it. And now have to drive home to reality tomorrow.

Not enough classics for me. Nothing before little mermaid (I think). To each their own, this won't be a must watch each trip like wishes was for us.
Can't recall the entire soundtrack but You Can Fly with Tinkerbell flying might qualify.

Tink did fly. Close to the end when the song mentioned flying. I was there, the show is overwhelming to take in. Maybe the video feed didn't catch Tink very well.
You must not have read the entire post as I did say "Finally TInk flies out"

Overall it looks good. Not sure about the wow factor yet haven't seen it in person. I don't care for the music except for the POC piece and some other classics that were briefly highlighted.

I just watched the disney blog version. nice broadcast, they didn't even have a camera setup to get all the high altitude.. someone forget to the tell them that this is much higher in the air show. I wouldn't be surprised if you can watch it from universal or at least in a resort pointing at disney.

I love this theme park war.. I'm very happy...

Watched video on another site with a full view of everything.

I'm in awe. That was amazing just on my monitor. I'm always the one who doesn't really care about the nighttime shows and goes on rides during them.

I am beside myself at this point trying to make sure we see this in October!!!

I really like this!

We were on the tail end of a very long, stressful day of road tripping when we caught the live feed on my iPhone (plus size). When the show finished hubby said, "Well, that was like watching a commercial." LOL! I'm hoping we are completely wow'ed in person when we get there. We were wow'ed by World of Color and that was very similar in it was a series of animated snippets woven together with neat effects and music. Where we feel HEA lacks is story & soul. But like I said, hopefully the in-person will be impressive enough to overcome that.

I would like to book the Happily ever after package with the dessert party and magic bands but I can't find it online. Do I have to call??

you might.. it's not uncommon for something new to be a call in at first.

I was worried the out-of-park resort/TPV room viewing experience would be diminished with the new show. I was very wrong. Watched from our Poly TPV room last night and was impressed. It was a very good show from this vantage point. The audio could have been a touch louder from this spot, but it was OK (it was like that for Wishes too, FWIW). Tons of pyro, some new/interesting shapes, lots of mega bursts it seemed. A few choppy parts I guess but that's OK. DS6 perked up big time when he heard things like Moana that he recognizes. He woke up this morning asking if we could see it again tonight. So the magic worked on him! :thumbsup2

Some (rough iphone) photos of our view...for reference, this is from the second floor of the Hawaii longhouse.
