Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Page 2 Rescue...

I'm back for one last update from my Poly CL trip from two weeks ago, this time I'll focus on the room and room view. Apologies in advance for photo bombing the thread.

Most of my prior Poly CL trips have been TPV reservations but I've done GV and LV as well. For my TPV stays, I've requested and fortunately received a third floor room each time. I knew someday my luck would run out and I'd get the second floor, and sure enough, this was the trip.

I figured this trip might be the one - at two nights it was by far my shortest Poly CL trip and I'm assuming it's much easier for the room assignors to slot in a two nighter in a less requested room type.

So yes, the 'dreaded' no balcony second floor! I have to admit, it really wasn't that bad at all. I mean sure, it's not ideal - we just tend to really enjoy our balcony time - but it wasn't nearly the detriment that I had built it up in my head to be, perhaps perpetuated in some way by the comments you read around these boards. I might have been more bummed if it were a longer trip, but for a short trip, not a problem at all.

As a side note, unsolicited by me Disney did acknowledge the fact that they couldn't accommodate my room request. I didn't ask or even mention it, I was surprised they did.

So anyway...I was in Room 2505. I like being on the lounge side of the building, so this room was PERFECT for that. Not right by the elevator but a few doors down. I have had third floors rooms in the xx04-xx08ish range and those have been my favorites by far.

Here's a map...

Room was in good shape, but perhaps not totally immaculate. Just a bit of wear and tear. Nothing bad at all though. I'm talking small things like the carpet could maybe need replacing in another year, some bathroom wallpaper curling up ever so slightly at the bottom. I'm nitpicking for sure. The rooms here wear incredibly well but are roughly 4 years from the last refurb, if I'm not mistaken.

If you look close enough at my photos you're sure to find a Longboard somewhere...

The view...this was sunrise one morning. The room is not really as dark as the photo makes it look.

You can be in bed and see the GF. Not too shabby in my book.

At least they still do a personalized welcome card. Some other CLs don't do that anymore.

Not sure how long this will be going on... it's one of our favorite activities....

Love this addition. If you can't see the card, it says it's complimentary. Wonder if they will start charging someday like most hotels...

Continuing the in-room tour... these are somewhat random but maybe helpful to those not familiar with Poly...

I had never actually looked in this cabinet before. To go cups and coffee supplies.

People often ask if there is a freezer in the fridge... nope.

I love the bathrooms here....

I guess when you notice the remote is new, it means you've been staying at Poly too much. :-(

Something not quite right about these.... :confused3

Continued from Poly CL Room 2505...

Loved the view. Maybe it's just me but I can never get enough of these pics...

Straight ahead view.... honk, honk.

To the right. Only nit about this particular room is that dang palm tree is blocking a view of my beloved CR.

A bit of fog this morning...

This was sometime in the morning. I like stealing a glimpse over at the boat dock to see the line if I'm heading to MK. This line = monorail for me. :-)

Ducks and a good glimpse of the first floor patios...

Always love the late afternoon clouds over the 7 Seas Lagoon/MK area.

Just about done.... again, these are from Poly CL Room 2505, which is a TPV room.

Can't forget about the EWP. When I was here in Feb, the EWP and Wishes were both at 9PM. They'd run EWP during Wishes, but just no sound from EWP. It was the dumbest show ever. This time, they ran EWP around 8:45ish, so no overlap. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 EWP followed by the new fireworks show is good entertainment in my book and continues to reinforce why I love places like Poly CL.

I posted a few weeks ago that I was worried about what the new show would be like from the out-of-park viewing areas, especially with all the talk of projections, lasers, lights, etc. I was pleasantly surprised how great this show was from here. There was TONS of pyro. I wanted the music to be louder, just because it was my first time hearing the soundtrack... but it was just loud enough (not great though).

I did watch the next night from in the MK which is now a borderline must-do in my book with the castle experience, but both viewing options seem totally valid to me - just like Wishes has always been.

I didn't take many photos because I was into the show, but these should help give a decent perspective of how the view is from here.

That's all I have - thanks for following along. And thanks for putting up with these photo essays. It's post trip healing for me.
I loved the night pix!::yes::

How did you get cruise line chocolates:scratchin

Dd and I stayed there the end of march 2013 as a 18 bday/grad gift. The Hawaii building was only 2 weeks old with its refurbishment so only 4 years old. Disney resorts just get booked for far more often than other resorts.

Thanks for all the great pix:wave2:

Love the review with pics. Thanks for taking the time out of your trip to take pics and come back and share them :).

This will be our first time at Poly. Is it easy to find space to watch the fireworks and the EWP?
Yep!

Also something to keep in mind is that all the buildings have both interior and exterior staircases. You can access any exterior staircase(no key needed). So either your building or another is fun to climb up and check out the view. Tokelau has some nice views and I am sure others do as well.

Following up on my prior update that United changed our flight time by hours on arrival day, we decided to change flights and fly in the night prior and stay in ASMo (flight doesn't arrive until 10:33 pm and by the time we get to the resort it'll likely be close to midnight - plus after getting up early for work and school that morning we're just looking for a crash pad for the night, wake up and head right to the Poly) . :)

Question though: what is the best way to transfer from AsMo to Poly in the morning? I know AsMo bellhop can probably move our luggage from one resort to the next, but if we take a cab or Uber can we just load that up and go and leave our luggage with Poly bellhop until our room is ready? Will they then deliver our luggage to the room at that point, or will we need to pick it up from bellhop and take it to our room? Also how early will we be able to check-in? I know the room will most likely not be ready - but if we want to grab a quick breakfast bite in the club, can we do this?

TIA :)

When we did a split between AoA and Poly last year, we had Bell Services transfer our luggage and we took a bus to MK for the morning. That afternoon, we took a boat from MK to Poly once we got our "room ready" text. We called Bell Services to have them deliver our luggage, and it took several hours because it hadn't arrived from AoA yet. I'd recommend that if you're already going to pay for your own transportation there in the AM, just bring your bags and check them with Bell Services when you arrive so you know you won't have to wait for a transfer to complete later on. Note that you do need to be in your room for Bell Services to deliver luggage to you. Alternatively, you can go back and pick it up to take it to your room when you're ready.

You can check in as early as 6:00am and start using the lounge as soon as it opens.
