Brazil - the next likely pavilion

I think Epcot and AK could work together here. AK already has (some of) Africa represented, and kind of India too. I'd love to see Australia at AK; culturally, it's so similar to UK and USA that I think the wildlife and landscape is what really sets it apart, and AK would be such a good fit for it.

For Epcot, I think Brazil could be interesting. For all the stereotyping there is around tour groups and what not, I still don't know much about the country....

Brazil is on my bucket list- it's gorgeous, has an interesting culture, and the people are a lot of fun. And a pavilion would be good too because I think a lot of people would find it educational and interesting. I know a lot about culture and economics but I wasn't really aware that they are Portuguese speakers or how different the language is from Spanish until I had a few Brazilian roommates at a hostel.

The tour groups- you know, as much as people crab about them, I was kind of surprised. People single them out as Brazilian, but I don't really think massive groups of American kids would be any better behaved or supervised. It's a bummer to get in line behind them, but it's also a bummer to get in line behind a massive family reunion too. They cut, sure, but so do a lot of unsupervised kids. I think a lot of the annoyance is due to the fact they're a tour group. I felt the same annoyance at the huge Chinese tour groups in Italy. They probably aren't worse behaved than the other tourists but they travel in packs which magnifies their annoying behavior.

Sounds like a nice list of announcements are coming at D23 for Epcot.

Rat in France, Gondola and Brazil is all in world showcase, so I can imagine whatever is happening in future world is going to be huge

Since DAK...still...struggles to find its audience/identity...there would be no reason to undercut it by putting things that more naturally fit in there in Epcot.

Remember: AK was considered a risk for many reasons by the disney board when it was built...I'm fairly certain one of those reasons is the potential confusion regarding the scenario we are talking about here...

If they are gonna build countries - which honestly is perhaps the most far fetched idea that gets repeatedly around here - it makes no sense to put Brazil and austrailia in there with animal kingdom down the road. Other countries have fewer animals to use.

Portions of Saludos Amigos and The Three Caballeros are set in Brazil. Jose Carioca is Brazillian.

That's true, but I don't think they'd put Jose in another ride. If we asked Disney about it I think they would say "No way Jose"... I had to say it.. I had to.

To make it feel more like Brazil, Disney will have to hire some new cast members to abduct people. Then force the remaining family members to pay a ransom... after they used all their fastpasses of course.

Judging from our local news, this is similar to Mexico as well. :P

What? I was told they would never add any more countries. :scratchin

Oh well its been a few days since anything new was being added for my vacations, hoping its true. Loving it. :wizard:

Well now that Epcot = Lets squeeze as much IP into it as possible because we need to sell more merch #theprototypefailed..........the new concept art looks like this for Africa:

Which, to be fair, would be freaking awesome

Not an Australian thing at all.

Beet on hamburgers, vegemite, tim tams, and pavlova. Australia would fit better into AK anyways.

Oh I know, it's just that I figured they could put an Outback in the pavilion and make a bunch of money with it. There's the equivalent of a Panda express in the China pavilion, I was just going with that idea. And I'll admit when I thought of Australia, I did think of AK (Kangaroos, Koalas, etc.) Would be nice addition to AK.

Hey it matches with Rainforst Cafe in AK!

Speaking of Panda Express....we have one in our local Six Flags......in the old west portion!!!

Do people still think that's the case and Animal Kingdom struggles with its Identity ?

I would have said Epcot and Easily Hollywood Studios suffer far worse with an identity crisis.

I haven't been to Pandora yet but with what's been added to AK in the last year, I feel that all they really need to do now is bulldoze Dinoland and do something in that area. I feel there's enough rides and shows to make it a full day park
