So do we think some rooms will be like regular deluxe rooms?
(not all-inclusive)

No way. It's not all inclusive more like all immersion. You are going to go to the hotel and become a Star Wars "character". You aren't going to be leaving to rope drop Pandora at AK or watch the fireworks at the MK. To me $650 a night seems low because unlike someone at the GF hotel, they would not be leaving and spending time and more importantly their money in the parks. Perhaps 650 is only for the room and then they will charge for various missions experiences. You will need to be able do something once you get in character. You aren't going to be hanging by the pool like a regular hotel.

I am a huge star wars fan, and I wont. That is crazy crazy cash.

Vacations are no fun when you have to think more about the cost that what you're seeing...

...therefore, it's a No. I'll watch closely to see what they actually build though...
...like how you manage to cut people off from sunlight? That isn't healthy and it's weird to do it intentionally for entire sleep cycles.

If something of this magnitude was being done for Star Trek, I'd be absolutely dying. Unfortunately I know deep down that it'll never happen :(

Did you ever do the Star Trek experience at the Las Vegas Hilton? The final version of it with the transporter room, bridge and Borg attack was amazing and as close to this as I think we will ever get. :worried:

No doubt I will pay it for two nights. Of course not sure if kids will come. I'll park my kids in pop century and me and wife will meet them at the beach club. Lol

Exactly. Its funny how I bet the same people who talk about how their minds are at ease with the meal plan being prepaid so they don't have to sit there and worry about the cost of food, will probably be perfectly fine forking out $1250 a night for this without worry about the cost they are paying ...

Anyway, I am going to watch what they build as well, and watch it closely. I hope that its awesome, and I hope that after an initial surge and demand, prices drop off significantly.

We (wife and I) were discussing the sunlight thing last night actually, it does happen in casinos. I wonder to what extent this is why they are talking about booking 2 night stays. I was one of the individuals who got to take the survey about this when it was circulating, and if I remember correctly they were asking if I would stay at such a hotel for 2,3,4, or 5 nights. I also imagine that in some way they will still simulate a day / night cycle.

Well pooh. I was hoping for a ToT themed resort, cobwebs and all. Not for us but I can see a lot of people enjoying the whole immersion thing.

I thought about this too-- suppose they build the resort like the pentagon---- all rooms have an exterior wall and an interior wall, with a balcony. Although the center would have to be covered because you are in space..... nevermind...

Maybe during your trip to the GE, you have a stop or two on the way....(Cast away asteroid?) where they will let you out into the yard for some exercise and radiation......have a themed courtyard that you are ushered in to as though you are leaving the ship at a port.... think of the souvenir opportunities!......
Starting to sound like vacation prison..... I'm in...

OK-- a circular resort, all the rooms in a ring. could be multi floor.

the exterior of the ring has a barrier wall maybe 20 feet outside, or further, that is a projection screen for space projections. all the rooms have windows facing the wall. there is a central area acting as the lobby, dinning, shopping, etc.

The central courtyard is themed to some planet environment or port where you can stop on the way to TGE..... where portions of your immersive trip are played out....... sounds good to me....

Les Testa (I know I know) is reporting that he's hearing 650 a night plus 200 per addition person per night. 2 night minimum. I really hope this is closer to the truth than 1k per person per night.

That's not high enough (yes, I said it). 4 people would put that at $1,250/night total. Our DVC rooms are more than that rack rate with no immersive experience.

At this price I could see them developing a waiting list that wouldn't make them (or many consumers) happy. They can extract more, so I'd expect them to. The amounts tested in the survey seem closer to the mark to me, personally.
