Is FOP still a tough FP at 60 days?

Newbie Question:

We have a one night reservation booked for Nov29-30 We have a 4day ticket and plan to use 2 of the days on Nov29 and Nov 30 Then we are moving off property for the remainder of the trip.

We plan to use the other 2 days left on our ticket after the weekend on Dec 4 and Dec 5.

Will I be able to make fast pass reservations for these 2 days at the same time I make FP reservations for the first 2 days?

Thanks for specific help. Group of nine.

Great stuff about this on the main FastPass thread at the top of this forum.

I'd go for day 5 first. You shouldn't have a problem getting them.

I was shocked that not only did we get 4 FP+ for day 64 of our Jersey Week trip, but there was plenty of availability the rest of the day (for our day 64) and the next day (I kept checking to see if I could change our time).

Thank you for responding!! We're going to go ahead and plan on day 5 as our AK day and hope for the best.

Hi, I am new to all things Disney but I have been reading intently and wanting to wrap my head around this.... we are taking our kids (11yr boy and 8yr girl) for their first trip to Disney. We are staying at CSR 12/18-12/22, this is a 5 night trip but only 3 park days. We are planning to do MK all day (including MVMCP on Tuesday 12/19, yes I know long day but they are troopers!), so I would only have Wednesday 12/20 or Thursday 12/21 for FOP. I know this is our first trip but our son's friend told him about the ride and he really wants to go on it. Do I have any shot of getting either of those two days given I have a short trip? If I understand this right, by checking in on 12/18 my window to book will be 10/19 morning, is that correct? Would I have better odds if I shoot for Thursday first then Wednesday? I'd prefer Wednesday with our schedule, but if it would improve my odds I'd be ok with Thursday. I know Disney is very busy at that time of year so concerned we won't be able to get a FP and we can't afford to wait in line FOREVER since this is our first trip. Thank you!!

I would encourage you to use two computers/browsers, and try to book both days at the same time. Be willing to break your group into smaller numbers, with overlapping return-window-hours. And then, never give up, even if you don't get exactly what you want at the beginning.

If two browsers is too much for you, I'd book Thursday first exactly at 7am. Be logged in and ready to go, have the page loaded, etc. Be prepared for the site to crash. Have the MDE app loaded and ready to book just in case. That happened to me recently. I had to book all FP on my phone because the site wasn't working.

When I go to my AK day on the FP site and click on Modify one of my existing reservations, shouldn't I see FoP on the list even if it's not available? On the page it isn't even listed down at the bottom for the "No more FastPass Reservations"

Am I doing something wrong or do you only see the ones that you can book and not the ones you cant?

:dogdance:We booked fastpasses for FOP 60 Days befor but if your on a short trip it may be hard cause that you get FOP FP easyer when you book them at the end of the trip ..

If you have Na'vi as one of your FP for that day, you need to go into that FP and try to modify in order to see FoP. As long as you don't change it, you'll still have your Na'vi FP+. Just follow the prompts.

Just listened to my favorite Disney podcast, and their research is indicating basically the same as what we have concluded from your posts here - no FOP FPs until middle of day 4 to day 5 (60+4 to 60+5). It will be interesting to see if any of you who try to book for vacations during the off season have any better luck (since I've heard there are fewer FPs available during that time).

The podcast also mentioned that it seems FOP is usually the only attraction now with this issue - 7DMT and FEA are usually available 60 days out.

60 days today! My TA was able to get FOP for perfect time in the afternoon of day 65 for us! In fact all FPs for every day are perfect. She did an amazing job!!

My 60 days was yesterday and I was able to get FOP on day 63 for two at 5:40 p.m. There were a few times to choose from, I chose the earliest. All day I felt like I won some sort of lottery! Good luck to you!

60 days for us today (checkin on November 11). Was online promptly at 7am EDT and was able to get 4 FOP FP for late afternoon on Day 63 (November 14).

Really hoping that everyones insight is correct.... our 60 day fast pass window for our one day All Star reservation is this Friday and then we move on to WL the next day. According to fellow Diser's, I should be able to make fast pass reservations for the entire trip since my reservations are back to back! I've even adjusted my work schedule in order to make them. Let the pixie dust be in my favor!

I was wondering about this. Is this a new policy? I read on another website that Disney sees a split stay as two different reservations. I would love to hear if it works for you! Thanks!

I believe Dining is viewed as two different reservations but FP is not.

I live here so I would never be able to book one 60 days out. I was able to book for a party of 3, 10 days out a couple days ago
