“Mom, it’s the plague and on my Birthday!” 11/21-11/27/17 trip. Complete 2/26. New TR link!

It was now time for my favorite ride Peter Pan,

Peter Pan is great, but I would also love to be evacuated off it! I hear they have to use ladders, which sounds fun!

This looks so yummy!

Place of dreams!

My thoughts of our room at FQ, it was a little dated and worn

I had those same thoughts! It was comfortable and perfectly adequate, but the soft goods refurb is definitely needed.

That tree is so pretty! I wish we had see FQ at Christmas!

It is going to be 20 below zero with the windchill.

:scared1:
We're actually supposed to get some snow tomorrow which would be awesome because I love a white Christmas :goodvibes As long everyone can still get here!
Very nice picture of FQ, it's been a few years since we've been there. The tree and lobby look very festive!
A very Merry Christmas to you and your family! :santa:

I am all caught up now! Great start!
That sucks your luggage came so late but that's nice they rectified it with the free FPs.
Love your lunch at Morimoto! We ate there twice this year and we enjoyed it. Last week we went for the omakase meal and it was delicious. I agree it is by far not the best sushi (although the ones in the omakase were better) so I definitely would stick with the other fusion style dishes. I can't help it though as sometimes I really just want some sushi since I like it so much and there seems to be a dearth of it at Disney.

Beautiful pics of POFQ. We stopped by this past weekend so that I could get some beignets - although they are different from what I remembered them to be (they seemed more dense on this trip, when I had them before they were lighter and pillow-y).

Looking forward to more!
I have heard about the Omakase meal, I hope you write a review!
Andi is not real adventurous so our food was pretty mainstream there but we really enjoyed it.
I was surprised the sushi wasn’t that good, oh well!
The FQ was a really nice stay for us.

we went to Phoenix last may and could only carry on, and I did really good, I over packed us all BUT I also knew we had a washer/dryer lol. It also helped that I knew I was packing for HOT, the weather at Disney in Feb seems to be all over the place so I really don't know what to even think about packing yet.
I hear you! We were at Disney last February and it was freezing at night! I needed to dress in layers. I was so glad I brought a few warm clothe.

Love Peter Pan! We really enjoyed our lunch.
FQ was decorated very nice for the Holidays, I enjoy the calm vibe at this resort.

I hope you had your white Christmas, we had a freezing one!
I think we maybe staying at FQ again in April. I had to change our dates and the WL is not available so our choices include FQ for a great price so I think we will stay there. I think they will be in the middle of a soft refurb but that should be fine!

Hello! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We enjoyed the long weekend with family and despite the bitter cold it was wonderful!:santa:

It is time to continue on with Day 2, Part 2. A crowded MK!

After a nice little rest at FQ, we headed out to MK around 4:00pm. We had really good bus mojo the majority of the time so this was good. FQ is centrally located so not a long bus ride to any of the parks so this is a plus as well. FQ has its own bus system, this is really nice because Riverside has multiple stops. It is nice not to have to do all the stops there. The digital wait board at the bus stop was pretty accurate most of the days.

MK was more busy this day, we went to BTMRR first and flew around the wilderness, laughing all the way! The weather was cloudy but no rain so a plus.

We used a bonus FP on the Jingle cruise, this was fun and corny as usual. The FP line was long for this. I would say we averaged about 15 to 20 minutes each ride in FP this evening.
53B8A395-2120-4BBE-BC59-F2203DE296AD.jpeg

Pirates was next, our photo did not turn out but it was a fun excursion with Jack Sparrow, oh I mean Captain Jack! A tip Andi and I have learned when it is really crowded, is, be observant, the CM’s often yell for a party of 2 to come forward to fill in spots so we get picked majority of the time.

HM was next, the ghosts and spooks were having a “ball” this evening. We love the little gift shop by HM so we browsed through there. I tried to get Andi to to do the cool ghost portrait but she didn’t want to.

Our plan was to go into Tomorrow Land, grab some popcorn and drinks and watch the dance party for a little while. The popcorn line was long! We decided to do PM after our snack and the CM with sign for the line was by the dance party area! I haven’t been in that long of a line for PM ever even at Easter. It constantly moved so that was good. We got to the robot man with the newspaper and it looked like PM was stopped. We decided to wait it out since we had the time. It wasn’t to long and the line started back up and we were riding above Tomorrow Land. Andi noticed the Epcot model was gone from the area it had been in! She was mad! I didn’t even notice until she told me!

We went on Buzz Lightyear next with a FP, the SB line was over 60 minutes. We ended up stopped by Zurg and I actually got my best score ever. Yes, galactic hero here! I’m not proud but I will brag anyway lol! Check out our picture! The other picture did finally show up in our PP pictures when we were home. Does anyone else get other people’s pictures on this ride? We do. Every. Time! Obviously, no one was behind us this time.

We took some castle pictures and it was time for our last FP, which was 7DMT. We headed over there and it was down so we canceled this one, I know, I know! First trip in a long time we didn’t ride the mine train at all.

We shouldn’t have skipped our first night, oh well. Most attractions had very long lines and we didn’t feel like hanging out any longer so we headed out. We did get a few pictures at the front of MK.

We lounged in our room, watched some old sitcoms and had crackers, cheese, and cake before bed.

Day 2 was now in the books!

Stay tuned for Day 3. Thanksgiving with Santa.

I forgot to put food totals for the first two days! I always put the costs at the end of each day but I am slacking this TR.

Day 1
Popcorn cart=$16.00
Big Top, soda and chocolate covered strawberries=$12.01
D-luxe Burger=$27.00

Refillable mug for Andi=$20.23, this has gone up a fair amount in the past year!
Total=$75.24.

Day 2

Morimoto=$66.71
Lunching Pad=$3.51
Popcorn refill=$1.50
Total=$71.72.

Okay caught up now, when we could get an AP discount we did, with mobile ordering you don’t get your discount so you want to weigh the no wait benefit with the discount and decide. puckerup::flower:

Hi Everyone! It is snowing lightly here and freezing, so on with the show!

Thanksgiving Day, Part 1, Santa and DHS!

Today was 11/23/17. Thanksgiving Day. I had ordered this t-shirt for the day, what I didn’t realize was it originated in Taiwan and was going to take over 2 months to arrive. Needless to say, I didn’t have it in time for our trip. Note to self, be more thorough when ordering off the web, lol!

We were heading to DHS for park opening to mainly check out the decorations and ride TSMM at rope drop. The park lines were long but we scored today with the AP line. The line there was nonexistent so we go right in. We were held up by the Trolley Cafe for about 10 minutes then we hit the ground like a herd of cattle.

I use to love the thrill of getting to rides first, now not so much. The cattle herding is not fun! We made it to TSMM and the line was busy but it did keep moving the whole time. We were sent to the third track. It seems like we have been on the third track all the time now! It is okay but I like the other area better.

This CM has been here almost every time we ride, he is not the happiest CM:confused3 He doesn’t smile or say anything. Oh well, most of the CM’s are happy and enjoying their work. We had a fun arcade ride. I got one of my better scores! We didn’t attempt to go again because the queue was really long!

Next on the agenda, was to check out ToT but the wait was already 50 minutes so we passed. We had FP later in the day at AK. If you can believe it by 9:30 most attractions had 50 minutes or more wait times.

We did see the meet and greet for Santa and this was only 10 minutes. Jumped in line for this, it was in one of the shops not far from the Beauty and the Beast stage area. This was such a fun meet. The elves were so cute and friendly.
335E7452-CDF6-4668-980A-243A686A1A17.jpeg

Santa was a great meet, he was so nice and had the best Ho, Ho, I have ever heard! Andi told him she wanted an Italian sports car. :car:. Oh boy, Santa told me I have my hands full, lol!
D6122AA4-0C64-4F3B-8885-B499E2F29C43.jpeg

W shopped around after this, filled our popcorn bucket and also had a Mickey pretzel. We sat and watched the Storm trooper march with Captain Phasma. :offtopic: I love Briann of Tarth in Game of Thrones and she is the actress who plays Phasma!

We decided to head out and resort hop at the GF and Contemporary since DHS was really busy and we didn’t feel like waiting for any of the rides. I kid you not but we were out of there before 11:30 lol!

We took a bus to GF and admired the Christmas decorations and Gingerbread House, such a pretty resort lobby all decorated for Christmas. Jumped on a monorail and checked out the Contemporary lobby and decorations. The Gingerbread House at Contemporary was cute but the GF one was the best.

We walked over to MK and caught a bus for FQ. I was getting hungry and did see a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the food court so I got the kids size and I was very happy with it. The turkey was very good and moist, the sweet potatoes were yummy. The only thing that was not the best was the dressing, it was dry. The pumpkin pie came with it as well. Great deal at Disney. Andi had chicken nuggets and fries. She did the kids size also. Now don’t you all cry  for us, eating out of styrofoam on Thanksgiving Day, lol! We were at Disney World so we were happy!

We decided to rest some before we would head out to AK for the evening. Today was suppose to rain all day according the weather apps, however, it never rained a drop the whole day!!:dogdance: The rain stayed to the west and south.

Stay tuned for Day 3, Part 2, Thanksgiving dinner in Asia, I’m down with that!!!

I did go and talk to the manager this morning to let him know we had to change our plans because of the late night and would be missing out on a morning at MK. He was nice and knew about our luggage debacle :scared1:. He offered us three anytime FP to use at MK and he loaded the FP’s on my MDE so that was nice. This gave us 6 FP for MK today.
Still sucks Andi had to wait up so long for the luggage, but glad to hear they at least tried to make it right!

We had these a few trips back and they were simply miraculous!!!! Glad to see you all enjoyed them as much as we did

Our final choice was the Orange Chicken, this was delicious, the orange sauce was so good, very fresh tasting and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I would definitely give this two thumbs up and would love to go back.

Yum!!!! Orange chicken was one of my favorite Chinese food items when I was growing up, but I haven't had it in years!!! This is totally making me crave some.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, happy, and joyous Christmas! We are suppose to have the coldest Christmas in 25 years, yikes!! It is going to be 20 below zero with the windchill. This is stupid cold!! I am not looking forward to that. The plus is the sun will be out:rotfl2:
Hope you all survived the cold! I've been complaining about 20 above zero. Stupid cold doesn't even begin to describe what I'm sure you all have to contend with.

Love your face here!

Great Christmas Pics. And side note I totally have the same shirt :-)

I do this all the time!!!!! Especially at Christmas time. My inner cheap-skate sees a cheap price and I don't realize it literally has to come on a slow boat from China.

Next on the agenda, was to check out ToT but the wait was already 50 minutes so we passed. We had FP later in the day at AK. If you can believe it by 9:30 most attractions had 50 minutes or more wait times.
Yikes!!! NOt sure I could handle crowds that large

Great picture!!!!! What an awesome looking Santa.

Looks great to me. Of course this is coming from the person who loves to eat and drink out of styrofoam and has a strange affinity for plastic cutlery. :-)

UGH

The cattle herding is not fun!
I hear ya.

Santa was a great meet, he was so nice and had the best Ho, Ho, I have ever heard! Andi told him she wanted an Italian sports car. :car:. Oh boy, Santa told me I have my hands full, lol!

I love Briann of Tarth in Game of Thrones
Me too

she is the actress who plays Phasma!
had no idea

The rain stayed to the west and south.
:woohoo:

Sounds like a nice night at MK! I'm sorry you couldn't ride SDMT :(

Great picture with Santa!

I'm sure the parks were busy. Resort touring is a good alternative! And yay for getting some turkey & stuffing on Thanksgiving! :thumbsup2

CM’s often yell for a party of 2 to come forward to fill in spots so we get picked majority of the time.

I know the feeling!! :)

Most attractions had very long lines and we didn’t feel like hanging out any longer so we headed out.

Yeah we noticed that too! Lines were long for everything!

I use to love the thrill of getting to rides first, now not so much. The cattle herding is not fun!

No it isn't!! I try and avoid it but Steve really likes TSM so we try and do that once at rope drop.

If you can believe it by 9:30 most attractions had 50 minutes or more wait times.

I believe you!! We experienced the same thing 2 weeks ago.

so cute! I have the same shirt as you!

I love Briann of Tarth in Game of Thrones and she is the actress who plays Phasma!

Me too!! I like watching the March too!

Hey that is good enough for me!!! I'd be so happy to be at Disney it doesn't matter what I'm eating!

Hello to all,

I found a few more pictures of the monorail resort decorations from Andi so I will post these before starting my next update!

The Gingerbread House at the Contemporary, each Gingerbread House had a cute little shop either in it or next to it with so many goodies!
