Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Today's plans may be changing. It looks like we have about 8" of snow already, and it's supposed to come down heavily for another 4 hours. Nothing is plowed yet... DH is heading out for the first round of shoveling, while I clean the kitchen and put away presents. We'll see what happens later. Fortunately our friends only live about a mile away, so if we can get out of the driveway, we can get there. Fingers crossed! Hope everyone is having a lovely holiday!

Hope you got out leebee! My husband was just putting the snow blower on our lawn tractor yesterday, and I told all our family, and friends when he doesn't put it on the SNOW in accumulation comes! We don't have to go anywhere though. :)

It's a fun job, and he's got to do it! :teeth:

Barely getting this in here, but Happy Christmas, everyone! It sounds like you all have had happy, festive times and some have gotten loads of snow. We've just had loads of rain - seriously, if we get anymore, the river's going to be over the roads - but have also managed some happy, festive times of our own. I wish it wasn't ending already! My peeps are worn out and sleeping already. I'm still sitting on the couch with the tree lit up, bundled up in this new cozy sweater:

(No, that is NOT me OR my house (though I would LOVE to live in a place with such character) - this is an image from The Irish Store - I've had my eye on this lovely garment and someone got the hint) and furry lined Christmas socks that I opened this morning. Warm, snuggly things to wear are just the best. Hoping all you snow bound Aldio members stay warm and snuggly, too! Jevs, I'm guessing you're warm and snuggly for an altogether different reason! Be merry, friends . . .

Back to "normal" after the holiday here - though the house is still quite a mess.

Gifts I planned were hits, and I love the ones I received as well - including clothes and these Disney books:

Unfortunately, I am heading back to the vet with the guinea pig at 11:00 today. He was there last week for a sore on his foot, and it seemed to heal nicely, but now he's not eating. :( Good thoughts (and prayers if that's your thing) would be welcome.

The sweater is absolutely gorgeous! Do you know the Clan the pattern represents? Be guarded to share if it's your current surname. :)

Thoughts, and prayers for guinea pig.

Said bye to my grand babies yesterday as my little girl heads back to Ohio and my grand baby boy heads back to Warren, MI.

We had a great Christmas, tho with lots of presents and laughter.

Today, with 7 inches of new snow I just settled on the couch and read a book all day. Maybe tomorrow I will clean up after having the whole family here.......or maybe not. :santa:

We sort of had a "don't bother" day today re cleaning the house. The DGDs will be here every day this week and they'll trash the place every time they come over. Other than getting rid of the perishables and the little bits of paper, it doesn't make much sense to do any deep cleaning because it'll just have to be done again tomorrow.

Tomorrow DD flies home and we probably won't see her again until we do WDW in the spring. I'd say this was a very good Christmas. There was no major drama and everyone seemed pleased with their gifts. And there are so many leftovers to feast on we're good at least till the weekend.

It's colder than Arendelle here but only a trace of snow. Besides, I'm not going anywhere until I have to.:teeth:

I hope the guinea pig is okay!!!

I should also send well wishes to the piggie. Guinea pigs are so cute and interesting, it must be difficult trying to care for them when they have health issues. I had a guinea pig when I was around 12 or so. It was a blonde piggie and the Man From U.N.C.L.E. was a hot tv show so I named him Illya (after David McCallum.)
He stayed in a cage in an enclosed porch that was next to my parent's room. Illya used to whistle quite a lot a night, I don't think mom & dad were too disappointed when he passed. They are cool pets, I hope it works out for Pollyana Mom.

It's -4 here but will be warming to a balmy 13 degrees by the afternoon. :cold:
Cold here, cold, cold COLD! -24C/11F below! I’m hitting the icy, snowy highway at first light for the 500 mile trip home. I need to get back to work tomorrow and relieve my on-call guy. He’s been slammed over the past two days with calls for frozen up hot water tank and furnace exhausts. :scared1:
