DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Wow! Just came across the 2018 $ per point for DVC.......... 20% increase on Poly, $220 a point, holy sh%@&%#

Felt awful this today so we are postponed leaving until about an hour from now.
Hope you feel better - safe travels.

Happy Wednesday. Made it to both jobs. Tennis tonight. DW made homemade Reuben sandwiches for dinner.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Paid those DVC annual fees yet? I am assuming that everyone has to pay them in January. Have a good one gentlemen.
.

They are due January 15, but you have a month to pay them, so Feb 15. If you had a credit card with a billing cycle on the 10th, you could get a bit extra out of it.

I saw it last week. I see where you are coming from. It was definitely a let down from Force Awakens, but I probably would rank it above the prequels. There were a couple things I enjoyed, a few things I really didn't, and the rest was meh. I really thought they could have given some kind of send off to Leia in the movie apart from a credits memorial for Carrie Fisher.
.

And if the movie had been 90 minutes, then i probably wouldn't have been as upset. I just felt it wasted my time and dragged on without providing much excitement.

Evening fellas from an awfully gusty London. 70mph winds today. De-Christmassed the house. One more tree to go. Booked up some ADRs last night for March and finalised our hotels for the Southern trip. 5k run today. Got a 10k along the embankment in 1st week of Feb, so need to up my game a
.

Way to go 007. I've managed to hurt my other knee. I'm not going to have it scanned, but it hurts worse than the other. I'm going to just play thru it until the pain is too intense. Sucks being old and fat.

We are debating a 50 point add on at Vero Beach. We could add 3-4 days on each trip that way. Currently, the local airport flies Tues & Fridays, so it's a week, 10 days, or 14 days options only. I think DW and I are done driving.

Thats what she said.

Come over here, we'll have a sham marriage, I get a green card, you get your knees done for free. Everyone's a winner.
Look after yourself mate, are you sure you want to keep playing? What about swimming until it repairs?

YUUUP!!! :lmao:

Sounds like a terrific plan. I tried resting it by not going to the gym. Well, that just added on weight, which made it worse. I need to lose weight so i could have the surgery, do the rehab, and have a faster recovery. But, i can't lose weight without exercising.

Well, you can do the keto diet like I am, BUT....

You'd have to give up pizza (well at least the crust) and beer.

I'm down 40 lbs.

Morning guys, from a decidedly soggy London. Cheers to all now on DDC. May the rum flow like water.

But, i can't lose weight without exercising.
Swimming still an option? It was great for me when I had shin splints from playing on too much concrete.
I'm not sure i could sustain the no pizza thing
Such abominations should never be spoken of.
Never. Resale market for me.
I hear ya. I've looked, but there are not many resale Poly contracts. Interesting what Disney is doing though, punting up the price on direct at the same time as trying to divert away from the resale market....
I haven't drank a beer since New Year's Eve Party, but the bourbon supply is depleting quickly.
I'm going for completely dry until Feb 1. I need to get about 15 pounds off, and generally cutting out the brewski's does it for me, because I eat less. Which probably means I drink too much beer. And eat too much.

Congrats to you. I'm not sure i could sustain the no pizza thing. I haven't drank a beer since New Year's Eve Party, but the bourbon supply is depleting quickly.
Thanks. I actually had pizza the other day. I just scraped the toppings off of the crust and ate them. There are several recipes for keto pizza crust, but I've not tried any yet. There are enough other things that I like that I can eat without it becoming an issue. I think that's one of the reasons I can be/am successful with the keto diet...I still get to eat a lot of good things that TASTE good.

Hey guys. Update - we pulled in here after midnight as they were taking down the Christmas decorations. Neither of us could sleep until around 4 so we are bagging the morning plans and crashing here for now. Of course I can't sleep so I am up. But I am at Disney so all is good.

Can't swim. It's the use if the knee to power or push off to move. I can stand on it just fine.

I know several people doing it and they have had great results. I lost weight on Adkins diet years ago and then gained it back when i reintroduced eating bread.

Earliest we have arrived is 5 AM, and the room was not ready - inconceivable. I think we are flying in and should arrive close to midnight, which will be the latest we arrive. But, at least our room will be ready. Or, should i cancel that day and just sleep in the lobby and check in the following day?

Are you saying you can't swim because of the knee or can't swim period?
You could swim without pushing off if it's the former.

I did the Atkins as well and the issue I had there is I felt like I was depriving myself because it was so restrictive. Same thing...when I stopped Atkins, I gained the weight back (eventually). The thing that's different to me for keto is I don't feel like I'm depriving myself. Because it includes oils and oils (well oils and sugar) are what makes many things taste good, the food is good and not like I'm restricting/depriving myself. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to convince you in any way, just saying why it's different/working for me.

I even made some home-made chocolate the other day for a treat. Unsweetened chocolate, raspberry extract, coconut oil, and swerve (mix of stevia and erithrotol if I recall) almost no carbs and satisfied the sweet tooth. I could also add nuts to it (one of the other things I like about keto...I LOVE nuts and I can have many different types). The walmart market near us closed and I got a bunch of extracts for 50% off, so I can do orange, caramel, strawberry, coconut, etc..

Ever thought about driving to Nashville and flying out of here? Lots of flight choices.

Like you said, you're at Disney so all should be good, enjoy.
Dragged on she said? I'm not familiar with that...or are you including drinks afterwards? :rotfl2:
