The Youtube channel Mickey Views reported that Speedway will get an overlay with the Tron cars (car not lightcycle) and it would be electric. This is information he claims is from an imagineer on social media.

He has been posting a lot from this instagram imagineer over the last few days. I remain skeptical.

I am very hopeful this is the case as a revamp to the speedway is my ideal outcome - but agree with @rteetz that the info coming from this supposed imagineer seems almost too good to be true and just too knowledgeable about too many different areas (unless is is a plant set up by Disney to feed out bits of info to gauge what feedback is)

So additional rumors - that money from cancelled theater plan in MK is going to some expansion instead in Adventure land - one rumor has it as a clone of an existing ride to be put in. I take this with a grain of salt.
As stated above - rumor of tron remake of speedway with electric cars has been noted - and I will add Martin at WDWMagic.com says it is close to an option on the board to do. So this may not be totally fluff. Again hang on to that salt shaker

The last comments sounds like more of shifting the money from that to other already in progress projects rather than something new (though I suppose it could be for the speedway or something like that - basically to help offset or "balance" another project that is now projecting to be overbudget)

Very interesting. I hope they refresh the speedway it desperately needs it and the expansion in Adventureland is very intriguing.

I've watched ride footage of Mystic Manor and it's completely different than haunted mansion in my opinion.

Loved Mystic Manor but wouldn't that be a bit too similar to Haunted Mansion?

I've watched ride footage of Mystic Manor and it's completely different than haunted mansion in my opinion.

Having been on both I can say Mystic Manor is a very different feel - both in terms of ride system but also story, etc. .... that said, I believe Disney considers Mystic Manor as Hong Kong's Haunted Mansion (even in the current Festival of the Arts event they have an exhibit of different ride attraction posters of comparable rides at the different parks and they put Mystic Manor with the Haunted Mansion)

This is all conjecture at this point. I personally feel a ride may be coming, as the theater wasn't a cheap option and supposedly this was done to help with capacity issues... Just have to wait and see what gets said where.

Hmmm....ironic how I was just musing to myself the other day over how boring WDW news had become of late. All of a sudden, wdw fans sites everywhere are going crazy with this latest batch of unexpected news.

Yeah, I'd love to get Mystic Manor at WDW. Though I'd also love to get Phantom Manor, which is much more similar to the Haunted Mansion. NOT saying I would want to get rid of Haunted Mansion in favor of these, but I would love either/both in addition. I haven't been on Mystic Manor (watched YouTube ridethroughs), but I loved Phantom Manor.

I have to wonder if it is an attraction in Adventureland what the chances of Indy coming to MK would be. It would make sense in the area considering the location in DL, it would help hype up the continuing franchise, and it would mean they wouldn't have to do an entire overhaul to Dinoland. Granted there probably isn't enough space, but I would love to see this happen

An outdoor theatre over in Adventureland would be a good option. Probably cheaper, could easily be rethemed to Tarzan, Moana or other similar IP and also really help spread the crowds out better to that side of the park.

I'd almost prefer that to the main street theatre they're cancelling

Well, they could fit DLR's Indy ride in like the same spot they have theirs

If it is in Frontierland/Ton Sawyer Island I wonder if they could fit Grizzly Gulch Runaway Mine Trains - that is a great ride!
