Landry's Card

Wait... I just bought a Landry's card because we'll be at WDW for my birthday... So I don't have to keep my Yak & Yeti reservations -- I can just WALK up?? For reals??

We didn’t have an ADR at the Rainforest Cafe in AK. It was an hour+ wait without an ADR. I told them I had a Landry’s card and we were seated within 5-10 minutes. They never even asked to see the card!

I purposely didn’t make a reservation because I let my kids pick between Rainforest Cafe and Yak and Yeti the day we were there.

Yes, you can just walk up to Rainforest or Yak and Yeti using your card! My parents have a Landry's card for this purpose and also because they love Claim Jumper - a Landry's restaurant mostly found on the west coast, though it looks like there are a few locations elsewhere also.

Ahh, that's awesome! I prefer not having to stick to a hard time on park days if I can get away with it. Besides T-Rex and Rainforest, are there any Landry's restaurants in the area (we have a car) worth checking out? I'll have a welcome bonus and a birthday bonus to use. It looks like they cannot be combined, if the website FAQ is to be believed.

If you're heading to Universal at all, there's a Bubba Gump on Citywalk. Free parking after 6:00pm if I remember correctly.

Not sure of you are going to Universal, but Bubba Gump is also owned by Landry's as is Joe's Crab Shack and Morton's Steak House

Here's a link I found with a list of restaurants: http://www.couponingtodisney.com/di...s-select-club-get-25-off-your-birthday-month/

From Landry’s Select website: Rewards may not be used for tax or gratuity and in some states alcohol purchases.

Does anyone know if Florida law allows rewards to be used for the specialty drinks?

You can call the RFC and get a reservation without going through Disney ADR's.

No ADR and just a Landry card, then....
Yes wait patently on the check in line - or you will get bad looks from other guests if you barge in front of them - then approach the check in counter at the RFC (I think it looked like a big tree stump or something like that) and show your Landry card.

They will give you a beeper, just like other guests, but be ready to have your table within 20 minutes, instead of 30 minutes or more.
Unless you need a table for 10 or more guests - then I suggest calling the RFC directly to get a reservation and mention your Landry card.

Just wait in line, and then show them the card. You'll go right to the front of the seating line. The last time I did it, at Yak and Yeti, the wait time was less than 5 minutes, despite there being a full waiting room of people holding ADR's.

I've called Landry's direct to make a reservation for Disney Springs Rainforest Cafe when the WDW site said no reservations were available.

I have had a Landry's card for many years and receive a $25 every year for my birthday. Dh nor I care for Rainforest at all, but we have a McCormick Schmidt near us that we really love - they have the best fish tacos I've ever eaten.

Yes.

Yes, but keep in mind that a Landry's Card will cost you $25. Then they give you a $25 gift card to spend on a meal.

So your walk-up access will cost you $25 if you intend to pay with DDP. I'm not sure the credit can be applied to tip (or if you try, if it works out properly for your server).

I buy mine at Sams for a bit less than 20.00 for a 25 dollar card so saving some there, and yes you can use it to pay tips or anything else not covered by your DDP if that is your first form of payment.

Sounds like you are talking about a Landry's gift card? This thread is about membership in the Landry's Select club. It is the membership card that we are talking about.

So we are going to be eating at RFC and Yak and Yeti on our trip in August. Between all of us there will be 11. I have a Landrys Select card and so does my sister in law. I realize we might not be sat all together, but will they seat us near each other? Or should I just make a reservation?

Just an FYI when we ate at yak and yeti they would not let us use our Landry card and the dining plan together. Not sure if that was a mistake on the servers part or if it's not allowed. Just our experience. I was not feeling great that day and just wasn't in the mood to make any fuss over it.

They are very particular about only allowing you to use one "discount".

Can you use the birthday bonus and the member reward at the same time?

Yes, you can use the birthday bonus and the new member $25 reward at the same time.

Unless I’m reading it wrong, when i went to the website and looked under the Features section, it says you can’t use both at the same time.
