Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Quick OT post... but for the summer folks that feel like giving Disney more of your money, they announced new Disney After Hours dates earlier today. More info here:

Another note about Disney's signature services and DAH...
I contacted SS and asked if they could secure tickets, and they told me they were sold out.
I let my TA know that I was disappointed, but too bad, so sad. (Just in convo,, not looking for tickets, I thought they were sold out). She contacted me back within 15 minutes with tickets. I have not found SS to be able to do more for me than either my TA or I was able to do, faster and with better results. (ADRs, etc) .The one plus is the paid Fast passes.
Otherwise, I'm thinking that the pre booking services are not all that helpful.

That pamphlet dramatically undersells breakfast at AKL CL. I actually found it to be the best / most substantial breakfast we have experienced in our CL travels, and I use the word “best” without any hesitation. I am going to miss it dearly next time we stay somewhere else.

If you scroll past the room posts, you’ll eventually get to breakfast photos here which will tell the whole story:
AKL CL - April 2018

Hope that helps!
THANK YOU, I was hoping that was the case!

I was debating doing this - we love late nights but never did this.

I was so excited! Then I looked at the dates - we're there June 10-21.:sad::sad: This is possibly the best thing we have ever done at Disney!

I was going to ask if anyone did this and then saw you post. Can you give some details? Thanks!

No problem! Yes, that makes sense and that's where I was thinking they would be. They should be good size since it appears they are built under the DVC grand villas, so take pics so we can all be jealous! As @GADisneyDad14 said, you'll be in for a long walk to the lounge but the good thing is that all along your walk, they'll be lookout to see the animals, so it's an enjoyable walk. If they have 2 bedrooms on the second floor those might be the best. I a lot of people like the lower floors at AKL so they can get closer to the animals.

The red dot at the end of the zebra trail would be great because that's where all of the animals come in and out. Its quite a spectical to see them all come out and go in, in their herds.

This is so exciting. I am going to put a request - we will see what we get. I am also going to ask for a lower floor. Thank you again!

Hoping the forecast for this weekend improves...but if not does Poly CL keep umbrellas on hand to borrow? We have ponchos but just for a quick trip from A to B an umbrella could be handy.

Yes, unless it has changed recently, they usually have some small/cheap umbrellas by the door on the first floor. They aren’t going to help in a major Florida rain, but will if it’s not too heavy. YMMV as this seems like one of those little things they likely could do away with at any time.

Separately, I always feel somewhat bad for doing this because I feel like I’m walking through someone else’s longhouse, but you can walk through Samoa and Niue to get to the GCH (or the other way), which will only have a couple of small spots where you’ll be exposed to the elements.

With lots of trips I find I usually just run , use my poncho or on expected wet trips I bring 1 or 2 small umbrellas with me. However "MOM' gets stuck carrying the stuff so I prefer the small $store ponchos and I stuff them in a zip baggie. Or I get small umbrellas that fit in my purse.

I have not borrowed an umbrella at any resort. I bring from home or buy one.(usually have stocked pretty much any register during rain)

However I have noticed Poly and GF put baskets of nice fluffy white dry towels by the doors of the lobby on rainy days. Helps when you get unexpectedly soaked!:umbrella:

Hi all! I just upgraded my family to a 1 bedroom suite CL at BC for 8/18 to 8/25. I did this mostly for space to spread out with the kids for 8 days. The Club level is an added perk. I have been trying to find info and room #s for these. Not much luck. Does anyone know where, what floors these rooms are located and have recent pictures?

Also, I haven't been contacted by the signature services team (I hope I'm saying that right) yet like guest services told me I would be. Should I be doing that? Thanks!

Check out the Yacht/BC thread. Dee keeps the info up to date and everyone is really friendly there. I don't remember where it is on that thread, but there is a map of BC by floors that shows where the different categories are located. BC is our favorite resort! Hope you enjoy your stay there! We haven't had DSS contact us for every CL stay so it's not unusual. You can contact them to introduce yourself and ask any questions at anytime.

Fun! I've stayed in one of the 1BRs. Loved the room layout.

I am absolutely not a BC expert so others can correct me if I misspeak. The advice from the PP to check out the BC/YC thread is good advice since they know the floor plan cold. But here is my understanding of the 1BRs....

They are located in two spots on a typical floor (again, please check the YC/BC thread too in case I'm wrong here). See red circles below (this is the third floor, for reference). Floors 1-3 are similar; the 4th floor only has one towards the center. The yellow circle is the elevators that go up to the lounge.

For reference, this is the 5th floor where the lounge is located (in yellow). As you can see, the 1BRs that are located more in the middle of the resort are a better location than the ones at the long end of the hallway in terms of walking distance to the lounge.

Here are some pics of my room, which was Room 1647. 1st floor, middle of the resort. LOVED this location.

This is perfect, thanks so much!!

Sorry if this was asked.... but we are traveling with friends who are not staying CL, if I use the texting service for FPS while we are there- for extra FP, can they book our friends as well if they are linked in MDE? Hope that’s makes sense.

Thanks.

Back from our first AKL CL stay. Pleasant, excellent savanna view from our room, first-rate CMs, satisfactory food offerings with, of course, an African touch (and the best smoked salmon!), timely shuttle service to Kidani Village. One negative: Only Indaba wines are served (and they've had 'em for years!).

All the best! :thumbsup2

After 2 years of planning we are now only one month away from our trip :thumbsup2:earboy2:
When should I expect to receive our magic bands? I cannot remember from our previous trip when we got them.

That is so great - I bet everyone is excited. Enjoy!

We arrive 5/22 and I got our MBs last Friday 4/27. Going by that, you should be getting them in about a week. Hope you have a great trip! :wizard:

Enjoy your stay - I can't wait for your review. I hate that we have to wait until August.

I'm not @ninafeliz
BUT, I can tell you, we had the MOST fun doing this.
We have done both Early Morning Magic (MK and HS) and DAH, and DAH wins hands down.
Estimates put the total number of peeps in the park at around 2,000, don't know if that's true or not.
But we were able to circumnavigate the entire park, visit EVERY single attraction that we wanted
and had time left over to shop our way out Main Street and grab a Starbucks snack prior to exiting.
We rode HM 3 times, 7D twice and BTMRR twice. The only mountain we did not do was Splash
as it was really, really cold the night we went in March. (Winter jacket and gloves cold, lol)
We were let in early, but I can't remember what time. At least 2 hours. (maybe 6 - 6:30 ish?)
We even saw Talking Mickey on our way out with only 2 families in front of us.
Again, I can't say how absolutely great this was.
Hoping they have it again when we go in February 2019.
Sparkle on,
NonnaT
