Official Dancing With the Stars: Spring 2018 Athlete edition

I'm pretty sure he knows that. She did try to injure her to the point where she was knocked out of competing, pretty crappy way to go about things.

I really don’t want to get into a giant argument but I believe that Tonya did not know about the attack on Nancy until after it happened.

Tonya did not try to kill Nancy.

No, but according to the Washington Post and the NY Daily News, her ex-husband, her bodyguard and the 2 men they hired had discussed that possibility. :sad2:

"But [Jeff] Gillooly's depositions to FBI interrogators, made public yesterday as he appeared in court to declare himself guilty, contend otherwise: Harding, he says, sat in on the planning sessions from the first.

The Gillooly depositions specifically place Harding at a Dec. 28 meeting with him and bodyguard Shawn Eckardt, where Harding produced a photograph of Kerrigan to turn over the hired assailants.

During an earlier meeting the day at which Harding was not present, Gillooly said he, Eckardt and the two hired hands had discussed various forms of attack against Kerrigan. Among them: Slicing her Achilles tendon, smashing her leg with a martial arts kick and breaking her knee cap.

At one point, according to Gillooly's statement, Eckardt suggested merely killing Kerrigan outright. "Wouldn't it be easier?" Eckardt asked, according to Gillooly.

When murder was ruled out, Eckardt suggested "buying a 'beater' and running Kerrigan off the road," according to his statement. But the plotters decided there was a chance they might wreck their own car and thus fail to effect an escape.

Harding not only wanted Kerrigan injured, depositions say - she wanted her rival's Cinderella image damaged as well. Initially, according to Gillooly, Harding hoped the hit team would attack Kerrigan in a bar on New Year's Eve."

Great bunch of people she was involved with. :sad2:

Oh, I agree that they were a nasty bunch. Her husband was a real piece of work. I just think they were telling the FBI what they thought they wanted to hear to try to save their own butts and reduce their sentences. Gilooly and Harding were on again off again in their relationships and after he was caught hiring Eckhardt ... More off than on when it came to his own freedom.

I totally forgot to watch last night! I don't like the short season, so hard to really care about any of them. I don't care how well Tonya dances she should not be on this show, I hate that she is in the final three. See that Carrie Ann was the "lift police" again, I guess it's the only way she can get attention from Len & Bruno, have no respect for her or Bruno, at least Len seems to give an honest opinion based on the performance, I suppose they all get notes from the producers on how to vote. Trying to decide if I want to watch it on demand.

My favorite dances were from the final 3, with Adam's dance the best. I think it would be worthwhile to at least watch Adams and Josh's dances. The dance-offs were boring. Not only am I annoyed by the short season but I am also annoyed by the manipulations to make us watch it live. I don't watch ANYTHING on TV live.

I don't watch many things live either, I watched this on demand and couldn't fast forward so had to watch the entire show! Adam's dance was very good, he earned his spot in the finals. Tonya certainly knows how to manipulate an audience because she is not that good a dancer, I wasn't moved by her crocodile tears, I just hope she doesn't win. I liked Josh's dance but think he got that NFL vote. I hope they never do another 4 week season.

Other people cried after/during their dance :confused3. Adam even said he's lucky that he "cries pretty" (or something like that) when Tom mentioned that he had tears in his eyes. This was the emotional week where everyone cries, lol.

I actually thought Tonya was pretty good. Especially when she was the "athletic" one instead of the "artistic" one back during her skating career. My expectations for her were really, really, really low and I was pleasantly surprised at how graceful she is. In any case, she won't win. She *may* come in 2nd, but I think Josh is taking the judge's criticism and applying it making him more of a contender. I think it's Adam's mirror ball to lose.

I'm tossing this out for next season as to what you guys prefer for me and Imazdi to do...there will be both a DWTS and DWTS jrs...one on monday and one on sunday. Do you guys want just one thread or different

Are they both going to be in the same season?

Hmm. . . :scratchin On the one hand, I can see that if we have two separate threads that people might not post to the right thread and the posts for the different shows will all get mixed. :teleport: Some people will most likely post to which ever thread they see is on Page 1 of the CB. As some people said, they don't watch live. So when they do watch, they will post to whatever thread is handy. :surfweb:

On the other hand, some people might only watch one show. They may love or hate the Juniors. Or they may decide they love the Juniors more and only want to watch post about them. People will be doing a lot of scrolling by posts for the show they don't watch. Also, people might not watch both shows at the same time on their DVR. So they may get "spoiled" for one show, when they want to read & post about the other. Ugh! This might be a mess either way. :badpc:

Although, I remember on the True Blood thread, we only had one thread for the TV show and the books which were quite different. And there wasn't a problem scrolling past all the book posts.

And on the different Harry Potter threads, people posted about all the different books at the same time, even though some were just starting on Book 1 while others were talking about who died in Book 6 without mentioning who it was. Somehow we made those threads all work.

This is what we know about the juniors edition...

It will be 10 episodes, hour long each episode. It will be PRETAPED this summer. All new hosts, judges, dancers...the older pros from the regular show will serve as mentors
