Roseanne back

No it doesn't make sense. Just another thing to try to justify and minimize what Barr is doing by her supporters.

:confused3 The pp I quoted hasn't posted any support for Roseanne.
Maybe to you it doesn't make sense but for me a lack of judgment makes perfect sense when a person continues to jump on twitter to apologize only to return to then attack the same people she apologized too. Most people would make their apology (whether sincere or not) and then shut up. She keeps digging herself into a deeper hole, there is a reason and sorry but that isn't because of her racism, that is because she has some other issue in addition to it.

I said it was not the PP.

However, with this philosophy, how do you explain other people who do exactly the same thing on Twitter? I can think of at least 3 that go back and forth on a daily basis. Calling names and trashing people and institutions, praising them the next day, then going back to calling names. Do they all have brain damage?

Never mind, that would explain a lot these days :rotfl2:

Well I guess that makes sense about not knowing when to just shut up and stop blaming others for what is happening to her, she apparently is back on twitter lashing out at some of the cast (that she previously apologized too) that they threw her under the bus.
I was wondering wth was wrong with her (racism aside) and why she can't just apologize and leave it at that.

No it doesn't make sense. Just another talking point to try to justify and minimize what Barr is doing by her supporters. (Not the previous poster, but others who are using the excuse to be ok with what she is doing.)

Saying people who have TBIs have an excuse for such horrible behavior is a smack down on so many who are living with TBIs and manage their lives and their actions successfully using their tools in life.

I never knew that about her so I just looked it up. That would actually explain a lot, but as you say it's no excuse for racism. It certainly explains her lack of filter which actually made her famous with a net worth of $80 million (https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/life/money/a19662519/roseanne-barr-net-worth/).

Like I say no excuse. Just a random tidbit of information on a chat board.

I don't think a lack of judgment ONLY comes from brain injuries and I certainly don't think without a doubt that is why Roseanne chooses to go back and forth, it could be a reason though. Like the pp said- it is just info adding to the discussion.

And that would point to her knowing exactly what she is doing and saying.

People do not become successful $80 million net worth celebrities by not knowing what they are doing or saying. Random acts of being horrible do not lend yourself to becoming a success. Like all comedians, her "act" is carefully controlled by her. She miscalculated and went too far this time.

She should have learned from Kathy Griffin that nastiness can definitely go too far.

She's a pot stirrer that's for sure.

That’s what I’m saying. Same actors. New characters. It’s been done. They did it with Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad. Heck, that’s halfway what Golden Girls was. That was sort of a remix of Maude and the Mary Tyler Moore show. Even if she owns those characters, she doesn’t own the genre or that cast and crew.

And, they could call it DAN. :(

I think she can't just leave it at an apology because of the support she's getting. With people speaking out to support her, whether by defending her directly or indirectly with whataboutisms, il creates a sense that what she did isn't that bad, that she's somehow a victim. She's very deeply involved with the conspiracy theorist, everyone is it to get you for our beliefs crowd. They can twist anything into being an attempt to silence them. Being the perpetual victim is their whole deal.

I think she might be gearing up for a political run, going for extra publicity.
I would say that would be ...

... but I've been wrong before.

A persecution complex isn't a bug of all those conspiracy theory sites. It's a feature.

Can we please stop pretending that we don't know the difference between the two comments?

The orangutan comment speaks to 45's behavior
and low intelligence. It has nothing to do with race.

Roseanne's comment is RACIST because it follows a longstanding racist trope in America that has tied black people to apes.
You cannot make claims that one set of people can say something that is offensive and it is okay, while condemning another set of people for basically saying the same thing and it is considered basically a capital offense.
#Hypocrisy. Look. I made a hashtag. Does that make me a big deal?

Hasn't Kathy been forgiven? Wasn't she recently on "The View" and again going on another verbal tirade against the very person that got her in trouble with in the first place? More words were bleeped than allowed in that outburst.

The thinly veiled comments and arguing need to stop.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
