Oh please. First off, PP made no mention whatsoever of politics in her original (and lengthy) objection to the word. And it’s not at all necessary to disagree with someone politically to still refer to them as a SJW in an insulting manner.
Here’s my story. A few years back, my cousin’s partner threw a 50th birthday party for my cousin (side note, though now married, they still refer to themselves as partners). My uncle, to my dad, said, “Can you believe we have to go to a party for those two gays?”. My dad then chewed him out. I agree with him chewing out my uncle, and specifically with what he said (that my cousin & her partner are two of the finest people we know).
What Dad DIDN’T do was call my uncle out at a family gathering for something said in private, and he didn’t cause trouble at my uncle’s church or employer. Nothing good could have come from that, and had he done so, I would not have looked favorably on that type of SJW action despite lining up 100% with his opinion of what my uncle said.
