I love credit cards so much!

I refuse to watch violent shows. If I want to hear about that stuff, I can turn on the 6:00 news. No thanks. Needless to say, DH and I don't watch any shows together.
I loved the Mrs Maisel that was mentioned here. Thats up my alley. Parenthood, This Is Us...etc. Those are my type of thing.
I'm currently addicted to Call the Midwife. It is sooo good. Maybe look into it. It would be fine for your teen too. :)

Oh, I love Call the Midwife! I’m eagerly awaiting the return of Poldark too!

I don't usually shop there, but I wanted to use the RMN offer. I found the sparkling ICE drinks my DS likes for 75 cents each. I usually pay $1 at Stop and Shop so I just stocked up on $20 worth of those!

Not sure if I have even driven by one...i'll have to look it up and stop in. Maybe get some decorations or something.

Anyone know if I can buy Disney AP at AAA stores with disney gift cards? I see them online but only cc to pay.

Any other suggestion for the best way to purchase an AP...discount-wise?

oh, and PS- sams online is out of the $150 dis GC packs. :headache:

I was in a AAA office the other day and someone (pretty sure I heard correctly) asked about paying with a RCCL gift card for something and was told that they only took the major CCs and cash. I would assume no Disney gift cards either. Maybe someone has actual experience. It would be helpful in the future.

I'm trying to move points from my DH's CIP to my CSR and I got the message "This card is not eligible to receive points from you at this time." I know others have had issues moving points between accounts, could someone remind me what my next steps should be. Also, don't think it should make a difference, but DH and I do not have the same last name, that shouldn't matter right?

GAH! I am so frustrated with CHASE right now over these URs and Disney!!!! :badpc::badpc:

Well shoot!!! I went away for like 350 posts, was hoping to come back to good news. A little over two weeks to Disney. I suppose this came at a good time for me, I am banned from booking any more Disney trips for at least a year. So I will hold hope that by 2020 it'll be fixed.

Do you have the card linked to another account? I was only able to link a card to one other account, so I created a chain between all the cards and just start at the end and move points along till they get to the card I want them on.

I need to book Friday night for our Nashville trip... now I'm thinking about doing a Starriott by the airport for 25k points, with a shuttle and breakfast, since I'm 3 nights from Platinum status...

Me too! I'm the only person in my family who doesn't watch Game of Thrones.

Thanks, that did the trick.

Ok...so now I'm torn friends. I'd love insight/thoughts from the Disney fans I trust the most...
  • Last year we stayed at Beach Club and Poly. It was nice...it worked well. No bus rides except on our AK day.
  • This year we were going to do Boardwalk/Contemporary with URs...well we know that blew up
  • So I booked BC/Poly again on a TA exclusive offer...was pleased with my pricing
  • Discounts come out today and suddenly I have other options...
  • I could book Yacht Club & Grand Flo for $49 cheaper than where I'm at now
  • I could book Yacht Club & Poly for $24 cheaper than where I'm at now
  • I could book Beach Club & Grand Flo for $21 more than where I'm at now
  • I could stand pat on BC/Poly
I have no idea what to do, LOL! We've previously stayed at BC/Poly/GF but Yacht Club would be a new resort. HOWEVER is it really that much different than BC? I mean, they're connected and use the same pool!! LOL!

I'm lost...any thoughts guys??

I’d have to check when I get to a desk top but if memory serves it was somewhere in the my account page or my upcoming stays page. It does take several weeks to post the the account. I made MSR on the day I applied and it was weeks before the free weekend night posted.

Ok. Thanks. I haven't met MSR yet, so it sounds like I'm quite a ways away from receiving the cert, which is fine. Hopefully it will be more obvious where to find it when it actually hits my account. I'll stop looking until after I meet MSR.

I watched several seasons of Call the Midwife and really enjoyed it, but I haven't kept up since Jenny left the show. Big Poldark fan here. I read all of the books as a teen and watched the original series with Robin Ellis. I have the premier calendared for this Sunday, lol.

I’ve never stayed at the YC...only the BC...but if your going to Epcot..BC is shorter walk, if your walking to the Studios ..YC is shorter... will you be going to one more than the other
Since your going during Jan/Feb..that may not matter...but right now...it’s sooo HOT

Between the Poly and GF...GF was definitely our favorite

Do you have meals planned at any of the resorts...that would sway my thinking as well

You have so many great options...

I would either do YC & Poly or YC & GF. I've heard that YC is much quieter than BC and I like the looks of the new refurbished rooms. You also have a better chance at a large balcony if you stay at YC.

I don't think you have a bad option on the list, and I'm pretty sure that your max difference ($49) is not going to make or break your trip.

I like the Epcot/Monorail split, so your overall trip plan looks good to me. I'm a sucker for trying a new place, so YC has some appeal. That said, I wouldn't do YC and Grand Flo- they have a similar vibe to me, so I'd go for more "fun" for one location and more "swanky" for the other. I prefer the GF location a little bit over the Poly - seems easier to get to MK and the resort is a little calmer (but not quite as "fun" and I do prefer the food locations at Poly). So if you're all about convenience, hard to beat BC and GF.

Sorry, re-reading that I'm realizing I'm not helping.

You should spend the extra $21 and do BC/GF. There. I've answered it for you.

Well I have had 3 terrible experiences/stays at BC (no mousekeeping, rude CL staff, etc) so I'd say that YC is wonderful to me :) Honestly, I think BC is a little more whimsical and perhaps there are more children (? YC has been said to be"stuffy") but aside from no quick dining options at YC (although you can walk to BW and BC for that easily) you're right, they're almost the same resort. If you and your family love BC/Poly honestly I wouldn't change anything; you're there for your experience and DD's joy!

And although you're the self proclaimed Disney Discount Guru, I always think of you as Legendary Stuff Boys...probably b/c the font is larger

Thank you all for the responses!! Even though there isn’t a consensus this is helping me process through the decision. Finalizing our resort is always difficult for me!
