I chose a random date in October.I'm not sure what you were looking at, but the rooms are about $200 per night cheaper than what you have posted.
A standard tower room is roughly $40-$60 a night more than a standard non tower room.

I think it added a ticket onto my room which is why it was so high.I tried dates in July, August, and December including through Christmas. Standard tower room in the $300-$400 range. Maybe the site was wrong earlier when you did it?
Standard does seem to run about $300/night. I haven't yet decided if it's worth it. It's nice that it's there at the entrance to the resort and self contained, but otherwise... I am not sure if I am interested or not.

I've not heard that, but I did ask a blogger who seems in the know whether the new tower will have a pool. He said no. So, I do wonder if the current Dig Site refurbishment is in preparation of a higher volume of guests, and perhaps maybe more will be done to it closer to tower opening? Just speculation on my part.
