Positive thoughts please-ups and downs p.42

Also in Canada but a different province than Kimblebee and it would be the same here that it is where you are. Things are all in each hospital, they would be done at the hospital you are in, no transferring. Same as the USA, every place is different and you can’t assume what one persons experience is is the same as someone else in the same country.

Very good point. I was just talking about my province.

So, wow. That’s all I can say.

My parents showed up around 5.00 as planned and they had a lasagna with them, as planned. We were sitting on the couch talking and someone knocked on my door. I opened it and there was my sister with her husband and two kids. My niece said Auntie Kim, we’re here to put up your tree! And my three year old nephew yelled free! I was speechless and my mouth was literally hanging open. About ten minutes after that, my one brother showed up with his girlfriend. My other brother and girlfriend live in Toronto, otherwise they would have been here too.

After everyone was here and we all said our hellos my mom said that Grace had planned the whole thing..and I burst into tears. I have had a really, really bad day today and this was exactly what I needed. I am so thankful for my family for doing this for me. I love Christmas. Like, LOVE it. I just wasn’t feeling it this year though, for obvious reasons. Now I can look at my tree with its mishmash of ornaments and smile.

I'm so glad for you! Brought tears to my eyes and reminded me that a few years ago, DS's best friend had brain surgery a bit before Christmas, so wasn't up to putting up the decorations. My family (5 of us) went over and put up a tree and decorated her house.....and then went back and took it all down after the holidays. She really appreciated it, so I am glad your family did that for you

Perfect! :goodvibes

I absolutely LOVE that your family did that for you!! What a wonderful surprise & special treat!

Over the years, I've found, in the midst of sad &/or scary events, that I end up feeling so loved & cared for by different friends & family. And, looking back, even w/ the sadness, there is usually at least a bit of happiness & love mixed in w/ the memories too, if that makes sense.

I haven't commented on your thread, but I'm praying for both Richard & for you!

My mom was also a Grace by name. She went above and beyond in her many acts of love, and benevolence. Your description of smiling at your decorated tree brought a smile to my heart. Merry 'Almost' Kim!
