I love credit cards so much!

This is true, if he has a CF he couldn't apply for a new one for the bonus at the same time. However, when you are ready to apply for the bonus, PC the CF to a CFU and now he doesn't currently hold a CF so eligible for the bonus again.
This sounds like a viable plan. I do suppose I need to keep each iteration for a full year before I PC it to another. He has a fairly good AAOA so maybe I will just go with closing one (CIP) and PCing the other (CSR so he can still use the metal card :rolleyes2) Hmmm...back to the drawing board for some more :teacher:.

For the CF to CFU PC that can be less than a year. I've seen DPs of people PC their CSR to a CF, a few months later PC back to CSR for an unexpected redemption without a problem. In your case you'd be PCing a no AF card for another no AF card in the same family and no bonus was earned that required a year to avoid claw back. So it all depends on your timeline what order and when to do it. I figured you had time before applying so as to not use an early slot on a lower bonus card, but still get the benefits of the 5% CF categories before getting the bonus on it.
Although not metal, if you were considering applying soon, I'd recommend the CFU with the increased bonus first. Even if you don't want to keep it, can PC it into a second CF later. Just some more thoughts :p

My Marriott points just posted. I didn't keep track of how many 50s I had but I know I earned 500 points twice and only 1 posted. I reached out to them via their online contact form. It felt a little ridiculous to write that message considering how many points I have...but it only took 2 minutes, lol!
That's exactly what happened to me, only one 500 posted when it should have been two. I reached out via twitter, but have received no response. Maybe I'll try another method.

No specific reason—he’s just an incredibly difficult 13 year old:( I asked my ex if he was okay with him staying in the hotel room and he said yes but he thought he should go/would regret not going.

My son started being like that about 16. Food was usually how I lured him out of a hotel room. He brought his electronics and played games and when I was in the rooms, it just was too much.

After dining somewhere nice, he would want to go straight back to the room. At Disney that was okay.

And once at Disney's Hilton Head, I was so annoyed that I rented a second adjoining room because there was no escaping the attitude and the little noises from the games. I would have rented after the first night but we had to wait almost 3 days to get the extra room. After that trip, no more Disney until he was 21 or 22, when he came because of a girlfriend which equaled more drama, lol. And even now into his mid thirties, he's just not a traveler at all.

For Hamilton, does he know the songs? If he doesn't have any connection it's hard to say whether he will like it. But, it's something he should be able to put up with so the family can have an evening together.

The Plat Biz MSR was met on Thursday or Friday, and there are already 100K shiny MRs posted to the account. That was nice! The CIP MSR was met a week ago, and the 80K URs are pending, not quite in the account yet. Not bad, but I am impressed with how quickly those MRs posted. Usually it takes a billing cycle I thought.

Amex is weird about monthly statement MRs

Sign up bonus:
Amex within 48-72 hours of MSR

Monthly rewards earned:

Amex "holds" on to the points for a cycle-eg: my rose gold statement closes tomorrow...about 24 hours later I'll get the points that posted on LAST month's statement-it's annoying system but it's theirs (so in Dec I'll get the points earned in late Oct-mid Nov)...you know just in case I want to return the groceries or restaurant meals I've eaten:rolleyes:

The good news is usually the sign up bonus is much more than the monthly:)

My dh's points still have not poste

This promo was a mess.

Still nothing here for me. If I get approved for the Aspire I'm definitely considering switching more of my stays to Hilton. I know there's a Waldorf Astoria in Edinburgh!

I’ll try to help...but no expert...we’ve done Disney, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival....Carnival was the least expensive and the youngest crowd....Norwegian has offers where you can pick the drink package for free.....RC and Disney were the most expensive.
For the times you can go I’d think the summer would be the least expensive price.....I’ve seen that cruises can be booked with URs but haven’t called for the pricing on them....my DH loves cruises....I’m not a huge fan since if it’s not calm I don’t feel good..so it’s not much fun

I see Norwegian has the free drink offer right now. It "expires" 12/18. Is this something they run often?

Massively behind here. With health stuff going on in my family, I'm not really on the ball as far as churning goes - bought/used SW gift cards on DH's new Amex Plat, then realized we hadn't picked an airline, so it did us no good (I then picked an airline and bouth GCs, which should trigger the credit, but I don't have another trip to use them on immediately).

Today I'm at a Courtyard in Boston - cheap room rate and they upgraded me to a junior suite (which is nice - I'm working in the room and enjoying having a little space). Was planning to buy a gift card while I'm here to get me over the $200 so that my Amex offer will trigger (which I put on my Plat instead of my SPG in another churning error). The front desk just told me that they don't sell gift cards at this property, I have to buy online. I guess I will have to try to find another Courtyard to hit up for a gift card.

Does anyone know if the Gaylord Hotels have a club lounge? Thinking it might be nice for a mini getaway over Christmas at the National Harbor.

I don't think that Gaylords have lounges, and they don't offer much in the way of status perks, period. I got an interior balcony room last time, but I've often gotten nothing in the way of upgrades and they don't offer breakfast.

Anyone have any luck getting Amex to offer a deal when the purchase posts late? I had the dell deal loaded onto my card, and I paid with that card (I don't remember the deal though now) and the deal expired 11/30 and the purchase just posted now. I ordered black friday weekend. Can I message them and get it? I wouldn't have bought from dell if I didn't get this deal so I'm bummed.

We stayed at a Hilton in Edinburgh. Trying to remember which one. It was in a super old building, but with a really modern lobby and by far the biggest rooms of all the places we stayed in the UK.

I'd give it a week or so. I ordered things from Staples online on 11/29, because every purchase I had done over the offer posted the day I ordered it.. except this one, which posted 12/3. But I got the AMEX credit 2 or 3 days later. I had this happen on a Sam's Club offer too, on two different accounts.

So who here has gone for a Citi Business card? Anything special there (different from say applying for biz cards with Chase/Amex)?

I've never seen them NOT have it, lol. They'll do offer expires today! Then the next day, offer extended!

The drink package is not completely free as you have to pay 18% gratuity on the full price, which is $19.80/person/day.

Nothing different that I can think of. I’m currently holding two of the same card. I havent been instantly approved but a few days late I get approved.

Good to know. I'll watch my account.

Well the $20/day would be charged ontop of the crazy $60/day. So I would say it's still kinda free, LOL. The damn BF can DRINK! I'm sure he'll be using my "unlimited" free drinks too, as I did read that it's not truly unlimited, LOL.

I have the AA Citi Business. Nothing out of the norm getting it. I went for it after Chase denied my Ink application and after Barclay denied my RedBiz try (I have the personal AA Red Aviator). So they played nicer than Chase or Barclay. I'm working this for the year and closing though as the barclay has better AA perks. The citi biz doesn't offer the "rebate" back on miles like Barclay does. It's nice to get 10% back when I use them. And the reduced mileage flights are nice too as the BF lives near a TON of small NC airports so one is always on the list. Instead of 12,500 one way it ends up running me 7875. Of course it'll be A LOT better when he gets his butt to MI and we can both use our miles for vaca instead of visits.

How much revenue did your business have? I'm always torn on that field as there's a number of things I could truthfully defend (depending on which "business" I'm applying for), haha.
